Patricia, may I have the last flame acanthus?
Kim, if you have Argentine Skies, I would love one of those. Also, I was thinking you had asked me for several kinds of coleus, but when I started labeling plants, I didn't have you on the list for those. I have very small cuttings of several different kinds--are you interested?
College Station Spring Roundup-TRADES 2
Pattie, I am putting your name on a flame acanthus. Is one enough? There's still a couple left as well as some seedlings still in the ground.
pbtx.....I would love to try some of your coleus cuttings. I will put you down for the blue salvia.
I would love to have some flame acanthus.
I would like some coleus also if available.
Is anyone coming that would like to trade some hatching eggs?
Would anyone care for some fresh yard eggs? Nice large sized eggs and mostly brown.
LMK
I could use some egg cartons if anyone has some to spare.
Charlene
charlene...I would love some fresh eggs...betting mom would too.
:) Kim
Charlene, eggiwegs and tiny chickens to be? Yes please! I will start making another coop. What breed are they?
Bob
Patricia, flame acanthus grows into a shrub, right? They are beautiful, and I would love more. But I'm running out of sun. If I'm right about them, one is probably all I can locate properly. If they can take part or dappled shade, then yes, I'd love another one.
Kim, putting you down for coleus. Just want you to know that some of these are teeny-tiny little tip cuttings from NC Farms, and they are still very small. But they're rooted, so they'll grow.
Charlene, I will add you to the coleus cutting list as well. Also potted up your Cerise Queen today for Nancy.
Just wanted to mention something to everyone on my trade list. I thought I had a whole lot of these things already potted up for this swap, but when I went through the list this weekend, I stiil had a lot to add. I did a lot of digging this weekend, and some of my plants are going to wilt badly in the next few days. They're probably not going to recover and look all that great by next Saturday. But, everything has a good root system and should recover when it's planted. Especially if it will just WARM UP at night around here!
Pbtxlady - I'll bet we all show up with lots more than we posted! I've had no time to post and ask for trades lately, so it should be a big surprise next Saturday for all of us. I've always enjoyed the surprise plants that show up unannouced with everyone!
Charlene- I think I still have lots of egg cartons. I'd love some eggs!
Are any of you seed collectors? I'll bring my seed stash - lots of goodies in there.
I think you have THAT right, with this crew of gardeners!
Do you know, last fall, I said that I had a lot of low-growing sedums. Very few people asked for them, so I took extras anyway. The sign at my station said "trades." So I marked that out and said, "Please take." They were gone in about 30 seconds. LOL!
I have eggs for Bookworm. I have two cartons for blue-eyes and her mom. Bob, I have OE BB Reds and Mixed Standards. I also have buff laced sebrite bantams. Which kind do you have already? How many do you want to set? Which kind do you want to set?
Charlene
Charlene - I'm bringing you about a half dozen egg cartons. Now that's a great trade if you ask me!
Adding Dr. Seuss brug cuttings and So Lovely Daylily starts to my offerings, which are pretty meager so far.
Frostweed - do you still have nicotiana? I'd love some if you do.
Bookworm, you must have my list confused with some one eslse's I don't have Nicotiana, sorry.
bookworm28, I would love to have some Dr. Seuss cuttings.
Bookworm, I would love to have a fan of 'So Lovely.' Thanks, Patricia
Bookworm, may I have a so lovely daylily fan? I could bring you a daylily, but I moved 'em all and don't know who is who. If you want to have a mystery one, I could bring you one. Mine are mostly all rebloomers and most are colorful. I have lots of OP seedlings that I have no idea of what they are.
Mamajack is supposed to come in June and help me tag all that bloom during a weeklong visit. Next October, I should have lots to trade that will be named. For now, I am in awe of how many I have. I know for sure that I don't have " so lovely " though.
Charlene
Ok, Frostweed - sorry! If anyone has nicotiana, would you bring a start for me?
I'll take several cuttings of the Dr. Seuss, AJ, and will dig several So Lovely for Charlene and Patrob.
Bookworm28
I planted a bunch of Nicotana rustica seeds, and have a bit I could spare. They are still quite small..
I got the seeds from one of my favorite sources, Native Seed Search
Mt. Pima
Nicotiana rustica. Collected in the Mt. Pima region of western Chihuahua. It is commonly grown in plots or gardens around the house and used for smoking. Delicate pink-tinged flowers and huge leaves.
Charlene, I have raised buff orpingtons, leghorns, bantams, Egyptian faru-somethingorothers, and amerucana's, the pictures I saw from an ebay seller in Flo Texas, looked really nice. I would love to get a mix, and would be happy to pay.
Sadly I decided to go with chicken wire instead of the 1/4 in grid I used before and will be using now, and lost all mine to raccoons last year. My chicken tractor experiment was sadly a dismal failure. My coops are much better, I am quite proud of them in fact. My wife is very exited about the chickens.
Bob
I'll post my trade list here Tuesday evening. Looks like we're going to have another great turn out again this spring.

Bob,
I am from Flo and those chickens on ebay are my chickens. You don't need to pay. I have plenty.
My first tractor failed due to skunks intruding and having their way. The ones we have now are all different. DH improved on the first one and has it in use. He then built one completely different and we use it. Since that time we have built two more both of them are different. One day we will have the perfect design. Although all of them seem to be safe enough for now. We have them closed inside their attached houses at night, so that keeps the creatures out. Of course, I think snakes can get in anywhere, but they just eat the eggs and biddies, not the hens.
We have the mixed chickens in one, incubator hatched out babies and a mama with her babies in another one. We have the bufflaced sebrites in another one. We have the OE BB reds in another one.
The mixed ones will be dumplings next spring. The babies will be the new layers except for the roosters, which will be dinner plate specials. We will be getting a new rooster for the layers that we are raising.
The OE's and bufflaced will be replaced with their babies when the laying ceases or slows down too much. We will get new roosters for them also.

About your seed stash....would you have blue pea vine? Or does anyone else have small starts of this vine?
I will be bringing 8 plantation rose verbena, feather grass and salvia(?) received last year and don't know the name.
Sounds like good husbandry there. I plan to make another tractor, I love the idea of being able to move the zone of total weed removal and fertilization. Chickens are amazing that way. We will have to talk chickens this Saturday!
Bob
Looks alot like my salvia La Trinidad Trishann.
What a beauty Trish! I bet the hummingbirds love it.
Kim, could I get a start of La Trinidad if you have an extra?
You know, now that I look at that more closely, it is definitely a salvia but I don't think it is La Trinidad. Maybe Lady in Red? La Trinidad's flowers are pink, not red. Did it come back from seed or the roots this spring? My La Trinidad stayed somewhat green all winter, but Lady in Red has to reseed for me.
cannagirl....I will look and see if I have any Lady in Red volunteers. I don't have any starts of La Trinidad, but I could take some fresh cuttings if you'd like.
:) Kim
Dollie, I would love to have one each.
Varigated Fern NOID
Picther Plant
Bougainvillea Purple
Impatiens...one with variegated foliage
I have some of the red salvia for you and will have a bird house for you..
Trishann
Kim, I would love to try some cuttings if La Trinidad. Thank you for sharing.
Trish, Got you down for everything but the variegated fern. I may have an extra and if so will tag for you.
Cannagirl may I have a pitcher plant and a canna banana?
Thank you,
Charlene
Cannagirl... I would love a pitcher plant and a banana canna as well. Thanks! Kim
Charlene & Kim, got you tagged for the Pitcher Plant & Canna Banana.
Trishann, I'd love to have a birdhouse, if you have time.
Hey! I had a whole crew of cedar waxwings this week. Very exciting because I've never had any before. They are so pretty!
blue_eyes
I will be bringing some salavia you gave to me last year. They are lady in red and they have put out lots of seedlings.
I'm glad it did well for you! Mine puts out seedlings every year, although this year not very many. I think it was because it was shaded by another plant and didn't flower as well. I have since moved it so it gets more sun.
Lovediggin - no blue pea vine. Have some seeds for moonvine, though.
Awesome that you can come, Smockette!! Don't worry that you aren't bringing anything! Just YOU is great.
Hmmm. This is sure a busy thread.:)
Dollie, if they are available, I'd like some hidden ginger, satin pothos, and philo. camposportoanum. Thanks very much. And if it's possible to mail it, an apple blossom amaryllis in the fall. I doubt that I'll be able to go to a fall RU.
I can't remember who it was, but whoever has the So Lovely daylily, if you have any more left, I'd appreciate a fan. Thanks much.
Patrob, I am really sorry, but we won't have time to dig up the Cecile Brunner rose. We are working really long hours this week. In fact I'm bringing a lot less to the RU than I would like to bring because we have been so busy. I have redbud trees I could dig up and irises to thin out, but there's just no time.
Mary Lee, I lost a lot of plants this winter when a storm blew off my GH roof. I may not have that Philodendron & Satin Pothos. I'll check in the morning and let you know. I do have a sm. potted Apple Blossom Amaryllis I can bring you Saturday.
Oh cannagirl, the amaryllis would be great! Sorry about your gh roof.
Thank you Mary Lee.....I was upset for weeks over my plants. The frost got all my hoya & philo collections but just a few.
I've got you tagged for the A.B. Amaryllis.
Lovediggin,
I have a few blue pea vine seeds for you...
pbtxlady and Dollie, have you both down for a birdhouse....
I will be making birdhouses Thursday if anyone else would like one... Let me know...
Thanks,
Trishann
