Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Good idea Kim, the other one was getting rather slow.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Kim get the link to the trades and put it on your post at the top please. I won't be able to make it to the RU, but I am still here to help with the trade links if anyone needs me to link your post with the others.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Bummer, Sheila. By the time I finally get to see you again, I'll have forgotten how much you don't look like Cj.:)

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I may just fool some of you and show up at a RU down south later this year. I retire in May and plan on getting to know more DGers.

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

Charlene - thought you might be interested in this Oleander - kind of a peach color - I took cuttings from a plant in New Orleans while I was over there right after Katrina. I'll bring you some cuttings,...if you'd like!

How sweet of you to think of me. You bet, I'd like a start of the peach oleander. I will be indebted to you.

Charlene

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

Not at all......my pleasure! :)

Dallas, TX

Sheila, you are retiring? ... and then what?

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Well this week the DH decided to go ahead and retire also. He will be home after April 1st. So when I retire in May we may do some traveling, mainly short trips around TX. Figured I could get in a few swaps along the way if I plan it right.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Great plan Sheila.

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

That would be great, Sheila! Retirees who stay active and have interests that keep them somewhat busy are usually happier than the ones who don't.

Dallas, TX

I hear ya Linda! That was my concern, not having enough to do. I think if I stayed home, I will be dead in two years ... from bordom. At least Sheila has the DH and they could plan and do things together. Also I cant afford to retire ... I will need to give up something because this is as good as it gets ... I am already living on two pensions, SS and a job ... major cut back if I stop working.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Sylvia, all your money is planted in the backyard!! Hosta's don't come cheap! LOL!

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Sheila, you'll love it and you'll wonder how you ever found time to have a job (that paid money LOL).

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Finally got out into the garden and dug up some things for the upcoming roundup. Among those already on my list, I also dug up some black and blue salvia and Clara Curtis mum.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Hey everyone...please post here for the final headcount and to sign up for food: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/823898/ . Thanks!

Freeport, TX

Here is a preliminary trade list.
Have:
3-4 rooted cuttings variegated sea hibiscus
Am trying to root some sport hibiscus cuttings
Should have some white datura metel seedlings
Rabit's foot fern cuttings (should be rooted by then)
Several small aloe ( not sure what kind- maybe we can ID there)
Euphorbia trigona cuttings
Have managed to sprout some Plumeria seeds- we'll see how they look in a few weeks
If anyone is interested, I could get some cuttings of Hoyas and some bromeliads to bring also

Our main interests are tropical plants for around our koi pond, so as far as wants:
Almost any kind of fern, bromeliad, or orchid. Also, if anyone has any plumerias, we'll take cuttings or plants regardless of whether the color is known ( finding that out is half the fun anyway). Jim

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Jim...I've got a couple bromeliads I could bring you. Also have lots of hoyas rooted if you are looking for more. Would love some rabbit's foot fern.

Thanks, Kim

Freeport, TX

Kim -I'll put your name on a couple.

Freeport, TX

Sure thing, Charlene. I don't have one of those. I'll trade you a Black Magic Colocasia if you don't have one.

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

What is a alocasia cuculatta? I looked in PF and didn't find it.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

AJ....I'd be interested in your cupheas, angelonia, and dwarf coreopsis. Please look at my list and see if there is anything I can bring for you.

Thanks, Kim

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 9a)

Sylvia - I promised you full grown Cleyera japonica shrubs, and DH informed me there was no way we could transport them in our SUV - just not enough room. I didn't think about that when I offered them - just preferred not to throw them away when I reworked that bed. So - bottom line - I can't bring them and I'm really sorry about that... :- {

Is there anything else I can bring for you instead?

Adding Gulf Coast Penstemon....
And Black Pearl Peppers too...

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

Hmmm. Black Pearl Peppers sounds interesting to me CJ. BTW the crinodonna is finally showing some green. I was afraid it wouldn't come back. It didn't get any mulch before winter and no water either.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Ceejay, don't throw them away as I will be coming through on 45 going to my sister's in Spring/Tomball. Save them in a trashbag with the dirt around them and I'll give a holler pretty soon. How many do you have?

Charlene

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

I have some Red Yuccas that are now in the shade and can't bloom. If anyone wants them, let me know. Otherwise, I'll giving them to the subdivision for their entrance area. No trade needed.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Linda, may I have them ,Please?

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

Sure. I have too many in my yard. I really didn't see any sense in leaving them where they can't ever bloom again...better to give them away so they can go enjoy the sunshine again...and bloom!

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

AJ
Can I get some of the society garlic and/or butterfly ginger? Also can the garlic take direct all day sun?

Anne

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

I will give some to those around here who need them, how many do you have?

NE Medina Co., TX(Zone 8a)

There are 3 clumps of Red Yucca that really need to go. I think the clumps are probably multiple plants that can be divided up, but I haven't dug these up yet.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Well maybe I shouldn't be hoggish, if there are others that would like to have some, please ask, I didn't know there were that many.
