I am glad you are both feeling better. Get completely well soon, Amy. I think Celia is already over hers--right, Celia?
It is heading to high 50's here and sunny. Wonderful forecast the rest of the week until showers come in again on Thursday. On Wed. we are supposed to get up to 72º! Wonderful!!
I've been cleaning house this morning--going to try to get out in the flower beds later.
Y'all have a good day.
Mau
Stop and visit, talk all you want. Pt 18
Yup, all over. Took two weeks but it finally went away.
We have 50's, as well. I've been playing in the garden, doing a little clean-up.
Pau is well?
Pau is well--thank you for asking. He got outside earlier today and blew leaves off the back porch and patio, then he washed it all down with the hose. Now he is taking a nap. ☺☺☺ Our temp is now up to 63º!! This warmer temp. should certainly encourage the spring flowers to bloom!
whew.
i just went to the bank and the post office, and i feel like i need to lie down! Since when is 1 hour of errands the equivalent of a minimarathon?
It's that kind of day where the wind is biting outside, but when you go indoors the heat is cranked to tropical levels - no wonder i feel lousy...
ok, i've vented. i feel better-ish.
: )
Hi all. Glad to hear everyone is feeling better now!!! I now have a sick headache after going to the local garden center and all their chemicals they keep in such a small store!!! I was surprised at how much he already had growing, though. I wish I had the digital camera with me as he has a HUGE Brug in the green house!!!!
Hi Princess Kathy :oP
I need to get rid of my horsetail reeds that I planted last fall. It was a freebie from work but I have decided I really don't like it that much so am gonna dig it up. I wish I could dig up the barberry too. lol.
Sorry to hear some more of you guys have the flu now. :~( And glad to hear the rest of you are getting better!!
I think we've gotten worn down from the long winter and dark days we had. Things are looking better now. weather-wise.
Mau, good to hear Pau could get out and do some things. I know I always feel better when I get out.
Tammy, I'm always envious of others accomplishments. I have some seeds for some Brugs but I don't dare put them in the yard for fear the kitties would nibble.
I have an update on mom. The lady with Hospice called and mom is now having conversations with dead people, seeing people who aren't there and speaking with them. Brother Scott thinks it might be the person or persons who are there to "pick her up', as he put it. I don't know. I always think in the medical terms and the poisons in her systems are causing the mental and auditory hallucinations. The woman with Hospice think we're down to a couple of weeks. I called all the boys and let them know.
I'm going out to see mom in the morning and will meet with one of my nieces and her boy there. She wants to see her grandma but doesn't want to do it alone and I don't blame her.
On a brighter note, Brother Mark and I may be able to get together tomorrow evening and take Brother Doug home from the rehab center! Yea! I hope they let us. Mark is going to call them tomorrow and find out for sure, otherwise he Doug will be going home Wednesday.
This statement is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge and I will testify to such in a Court of Law. Celia Santiago
Morning all!
Celia, I am not awake yet, so I am lost on your last statement. :oP
I am here if ya need me ya know!
May Princess Kathy have beautiful weather today!
It's okay, Tammy. It's what we put on the bottom of our statements at work. We write this big, long statement about what happened when we arrested someone, then put that at the end. Sometimes we DO have to go to court and testify.
Good morning, everyone. Cloudy and dreary looking outside. Supposed to be 57º. Going to see mom and NOT looking forward to it. My niece will be with me , though, so that's good.
Why can't you dig up the barberry? I've heard the horsetail can be invasive. Is it?
Back home from seeing mom. It went pretty well but I think she was medicated out of really knowing what was going on. About an hour is all she can take.
We're not taking Brother Doug home tonight. (shoot) We ARE having dinner with him, though.
Amy, I didn't 'get' your comment until I looked closer and saw the name--LOL. Uh, I don't think Caladiums and Elephant Ears are the same, are they?
Celia, I'm so sorry about your mom. It must be very hard for you and your family to see her like that. Hope your dinner with brother Doug goes well tonight.
It's 63º and the sun has been shining all day. Beautiful!
It will be better soon. Mom is happier, though. She was glad to see us and we're going back on Thursday. Dinner will be good, even though we can't take him home. ☻ This has been hard for us but you all help.
We have 63º on the window thermometer! Wow! It hasn't been that warm since...since...I don't remember!
I about did what YOU did when I read the name. I read a label of soup at Costco or Sam's that read, "Free-range Chicken Soup". I never knew soup could be free-range.
LOL, Celia--free-range!! I only buy eggs from free-range chickens. Does that make them free-range eggs??! LOL
Would you all believe that our wonderful Arkansas legislature is considering making it a felony to grow SALVIA!!!???? I just heard this on the news. It seems that salvia can be smoked like marijuana and it can cause hallucinations! Whoops, sorry for discussing current events but if you have salvia in your flower beds you might have to get rid of it, at least if you live in Arkansas. I have six plants now and several seedlings in peat pots. Who knew?
Horsetails can be invasive which is why I am gonna dig it up here in a bit. Can't dig up the barberry cause the man of the house will kill me unless I can replace it with a plant of same size and great color. lol
Marsue, you have got to be kidding me right? That is crazy.
Nope, pepper, not kidding. I heard that on the local 5 p.m. news today. Of course, it hasn't become law yet. I'll be keeping an eye on that bit of news, however!
Hi all. Brandon got released from the Doc today, just has to still take it easy with his hand another month. No rough sports or anything of that nature. But you all know how teens are. :oP
Love to our Dearest Princess Kathy! ♥
Glad Brandon is doing well. Stay on top of him with that hand. I have 2 brothers one who also broke his hand once so I know how they are!
Oh I have been a nag if you asked him! :oP LOL Then he pulled a really stupid stunt driving on top of everything, I could beat his rear!
May Princess Kathy be ok now.
LOL. Typical teen.
i'd never thought of smoking salvia (until now.)
Hmm...salvia...hmm...I bet it would taste aweful. I can't wait unitl OUR news people get ahold of that one. They'll be on it like flies on...well, you know. They always beat a dead horse until you never even knew it WAS a horse.
Glad your boy is okay, Tammy. ☺ Kids bounce back very well.
And speaking of kids...Brother Doug is doing better than expected. He does what his PT tells him and then some. They are proud of their star pupil.
LOL Amy! :oP
Thanks Celia, hope you are doing ok girly! :)
Big hugs for our Princess Kathy!
I'm doing as well as can be. ☺ No hugs for me? ;-(
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((CELIA)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) Can you breathe now? LOL :oP
Gotta share my hugs Princess Kathy! :)
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROTFLOL
I have another DR. appointment in this coming a.m. Podiatrist again. I'm still having difficulties.
You are quite welcome Missy! :oP
They may have to just amputate ya know! Just kidding! Terrible sense of humor I have! LOL
May Princess Kathy have a smile or two.
That would be okay by me. I hate feeling like I have to sit all the time. Of course, my butt wouldn't be what it is today without all the sitting. ☺
We won't even go there on the Butt's! HA HA HA
May Princess Kathy know our hugs are here!
"You can't make footprints in the sands of time if you're sitting on your butt.
And who wants to make buttprints in the sands of time?"
--Dan Zadra
I don't think I want my 'butt prints' in the sand! LOL :oP
Celia, time for yet another new thread? :)
Good morning everyone!!!!
May Princess Kathy hear sweet music in her heart today!
Exactly!
so where is it? The new thread, that is.
Amy, I think I've given you too many ideas about what to smoke--LOL.
It was a perfectly beautiful day today so Pau and I took a mini-vacation and drove up to Petit Jean Mountain State Park. We ate lunch at the restaurant in the lodge there. Here is the view from the lodge.
Edited to add: this photo was taken last Spring. There are no leaves on the trees right now and you can really see the rocky bluffs a lot better.
