So, up to some snacks? LOL I'm having blueberry cookies.

I could use a snack, for sure! Never heard of blueberry cookies, though. All this excitement makes me hungry! LOL

And I might forget to mention Princess Kathy even.

We have a baby!!!!! She was born at 10:42 Va time and weighed in at 8 pounds and 14 ounces and was 21 inches long!!! She has black hair and looks just like April when she was born. Miss Beckie said it was just like April all over again. Miss Granny Beckie says she is the blubbering idiot today, and I told her she had every right to be on a day like today!!! She and Great Grandma got to be in there for the delivery and Miss Granny Beckie is just ecstatic!!! They have yet to decide on a name, so for now she is just our special little Angel!!! I am crying happy tears myself because Miss Beckie shared such an awesome experience with all of us through this!!!! Thanks to all for your prayers, support and love through all of this! I know that it is so greatly appreciated!! Now for Miss Granny Beckie to get back and start a "Baby Thread" so we can all see how beautiful our new DG Angel is!!!!


May Princess Kathy learn very soon that she is now a Royal Auntie!!!

That's so exciting!!! LOL I love it when babies come. They bring everything with them they need. And we need, too. Love, happiness, excitement, joy...you name it.

I'm going to visit with my brother this morning. I need to call him in a minute. He had hip-replacement surgery yesterday. He's doing well and there are no problems, so far. If he needs anything, I'll stop and get him whatever he wants.

Okay, back from visiting Brother Doug in the hospital. He's already up and walking, which surprised me. They've come a long way with this type of procedure. He's in good spirits, which is good. He had a foot removed when he was in a car accident in Mexico, lo, these many years ago. He may have the other hip done in a couple of years, if he feels it's neccesary. It hurts him now but he doesn't think it would work with a prosthetic limb AND artificial limb. I told him we could then call him "RoboDoug". He liked that and kept saying it under his breath until I finally told him that we were going to change it to "ParrotDoug". He stopped.

I haven't talked to mom today. I don't think I could handle both in one day.

Where is everyone? I suddenly looked up and there's no one here but me.

Hey Celia. So glad to hear your brother is doing so well!!! I have been trying to rest on the couch today, but just ended up with a short nap. Better than none I suppose! :)

And now, I MUST get some food. I had a small bite (of food) with Brother Doug. We had some fun "needling" the Doc, too. Then, we had to explain that we're not out to get him, we're just insane!!! LOL

Congratulations Granny Beckie! Get lots of sugar from that new grandbaby for all of us!!

Pau and I were up and out early this morning--had to take my car into the dealership for a replacement on a recall--had to do with the cruise control thing.
When we went back to pick it up, Pau stayed and wouldn't you know it, I am now the proud owner of a new (to me) vehicle! It's a 2007 Mercury Grand Marguis. Although I hate to think about having a car payment again, it was time for a newer vehicle. My old car was 15 years old and had 187,000 plus miles on it. It still looked good and you couldn't tell from the exterior that it was that old but things were starting to go and we would have had to spend a lot of money on it if we kept it. I'll miss it because it was a great car--the best car I have ever had. It's almost like parting with an old friend. But I'm sure my new "friend" will be able to console me quite nicely. LOL

Glad everything went okay with your brother's hip replacement, Celia. It's amazing what the medical profession can do these days. Pau wouldn't be alive today if some medical genius hadn't invented the mechanical heart valve. I don't mind a bit that he now "ticks" like a clock--in fact his ticking is music to my ears!!
