Marie, welcome back and we're all glad you're better!!! ☺

Crystal came to work with me for a 4 hour shift. I ran her ragged and she swears she could not do my job and she's 18 years my junior!!! Ha! Anyway, we had a good time. We went shopping and she got two pairs of jeans, two shirts and two hoodies. I also got her some make-up.

Everyone well?

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hey girlfriend!!! Glad to hear you had so much fun today!!! All good here, just tired. Prob go to bed pretty soon cause Shaun stayed home from work sick, so best baby him for a while! :oP

May Princess Kathy not get sick!

(Zone 7a)

I'm sorry he's sick! Not the flu, I hope?

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

He says thank you!!! And I believe it is the flu, along with a sinus infection. He feels so bad he is actually taking his meds! :oP

Hi Princess Kathy

(Zone 7a)

Good morning, everyone.

Sorry about last night, Tammy. I suddenly came over all tired and stuff.

Bright sunshiny day outside. Crystal is off to see her grandma. Then she's going home. I miss her already! Waaaaaa...!!!

Anyway, I'm off to work myself and won't really have time to think about it for awhile.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Tell Shaun to do what you say no matter what. He'll get better faster. hahahahahaha

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

It's ok Celia, I crashed afterwards, too! :) We are going shopping, again, and I might just get me some plants or sumpin today!!! :oP

Amanda, I get a huge chuckle outa that, but you shoulda seen his face! HA HA HA HA HA

May Princess Kathy laugh today!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

LOL! I had to say it.

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

You girls make it hard to catch up! Celia is speaking a foreign language nowadays, it would seem. LOL
Welcome back, Marie. Now we only need Marcy and Terry to come back and join us and I know Miss Beckie is bound to be lurking about somewhere, checking up on Tammy, of course.
Most of our snow was gone by noon yesterday. Yes, Tammy, the new car was safely tucked away in the garage. ☺☺☺ It turned out to be a pretty day. Pau and I spent about 3 hours moseying around Ridout Lumber, then Home Depot and then Lowe's. We found some Savannah Hollies that we really like. They were about 15 ft. tall and had lots of berries on them but they were $50.00 each so they will have to wait awhile.
I went out a while ago and counted the tulips and daffodils that are beginning to stick their heads above ground. So far we have 52 and more should be coming up soon. We planted almost 200 bulbs last December.
I hope Shaun is feeling better today, Tammy.
Celia, hope you had a good visit with Crystal and that her visit with your mom turns out good.

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Alot of my tulips are coming up this year. Mostly my Darwins. I need to dig down and figure out why. Some daffys coming up and I also have buds on the trees!! Whoo hoo!!

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Whoo hoo, indeed, pepper. Can Spring be far away?

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Not if trees are budding!!

(Zone 7a)

I have my "Tete-de-Tete" Daffys coming up. They should be in bloom by the end of March. I saw some Tulips coming up at the side of the house, as well. The redbud next door was badly winter burned but it's getting buds on it. I have buds on my weeping cherry. It blooms in May. I planted a new weeping peach last spring and IT has buds on it. I'm hoping for flowers but it's possible I may just get more foliage. If it grows as fast as last year, (It was 11" tall when I planted it.) it should be 2 1/2- 3 feet tall but fall. My Fragrant Sumac has buds as does my Lilac.(Fingers crossed for flowers; it hasn't the last 3 years.)

Everyone is well, yes?

(Zone 7a)

Oh, and Darrel went shopping today. He went to Lowe's and sprung for a new rake, a maddox, loppers, and shovel. Sweet! LOVE new tools! LOL NOT sarcasm...I do like them. I'm just upset I couldn't go with him. We usually do, go to separate sides of the store and meet in the middle, showing off our treasures!!!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hey Girly! Prob won't be here long but wanted to say Hi to all and hope all are well! Sorry you didn't get to go shopping, Celia, but at least your hunny brought you some goodies. :oP

May Princess Kathy get goodies!

(Zone 7a)

I was going to respond but the computer kicked me off! I HATE that! Anywho...I was saying that "Yes, I get to play with the new toys!" The maddox is going to be used first. We're getting rid of the Arundo Donax. Yuck, I now hate this stuff.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

What are loppers and a maddox? LOL I have no clue! Oh, and what is Arundo Donax?

:oP Princess Kathy

(Zone 7a)

Okay, Giant Reed Grass, Arundo Donax...

(Zone 7a)

YEAH!!! The reed has humongous roots and they're very fibrous and tough.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Sounds like you are gonna have TONS of fun getting rid of em!

:oP Princess Kathy

(Zone 7a)

No. And now I'm sleepy. Just thinking of all that hard work. I'll get an early start tomorrow before work and just get it over with.

But for now...SNACKS!!! LOL

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

I just ate my one lonely little twix bar I had been saving for hard times! LOL

May Princess Kathy never have hard times! :oP

(Zone 7a)

Sorry! I fell asleep on the couch. I'll check back in in the morning. ☺

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hey, that's ok. Got things to do today, so gotta get showered and ready to go. :oP Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Glad Princess Kathy is home now!

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

i think my cold/flu has finally broken, and maybe i'll leave the house again today.
i can't remember the last time i was that sick.
How do you know if it is "The Flu" vs. a bad cold? What is the difference? Severity? Symptoms? My enquiring mind wants to know...

amy

sniffle. cough.

(Zone 7a)

Good morning, everyone!!! Beautiful day! Warm and sunny.

I had the same thing. It's the flu. You can tell by how crummy you feel. The severity of the symtoms are unmistakeable. A cold will be mostly settled in your face and will mostly last for a couple to three days. Itchy, watery eyes, stuffy nose, general feeling of miserable-ness.

The flu will be accompanied by soar throat, chest congestion, achy body and joints and will last for up to two weeks or more if you're run down before you get it. Just aweful is how you feel.

Does that help? lol I hope it's mostly over now. I hate being sick.

Anyway...55º comiong and I LOVE IT!!! LOL

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

i'm jealous - 34 here. brr.
yes - i was feverish for 3+ days and sore all over, but accompanied by some of the worst headaches EVER. And then, of course, i'd lay down, and my head would be so stuffed up i couldn't breathe or sleep. blah.
But, thankfully, i think i am improving, which unfortunately doesn't mean well.
thanks for the moral support...

: )

(Zone 7a)

Yes. I find that having someone to whine to helps a lot. LOL How long have you been sick?

I missed two days of work and would have missed more but then I would have had to go to the DR., get a note...blah blah blah...that was too much to do. I just sat at work and didn't do much. Which was okay with the boss. She just needed a warm body to answer phones and watch people. (Very warm, as I was still feverish, too.)
