Stop and visit, talk all you want. Pt 17

(Zone 7a)

Good morning, everyone! ☺
I just got off the phone with mom. Sheesh, she can be mean!!! LOL Apparently it's MY fault for her whole life going down the tubes. MY fault she doesn't have Q-tips and MY fault she doesn't like where she lives. It's MY fault she was put there in the first place. Like I said...SHEESH!!! ☺ She's lucky we love her. If we didn't...

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Well now Celia, are you on your way to the store for the Q-tips?☻

(Zone 7a)

The sad part is, she already got them. Brother Scott picked them up.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Oh OK! ☻

(Zone 7a)

The sun is shining, the birds are collecting nesting, the cats are asleep at my feet, hubby has gone to work. This day is not ruined. I will visit her tonight and she'll be fine.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Sounds like a pretty good day overall! ♥ I am thinking of a nap myself!!!

(Zone 7a)

I may do that too before heading to work.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

I just got up from my nap! ☻ MIL just went home.

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

I found you all again!!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Marie, I have been wondering if you got lost again! Almost came to find you! HE HE HE

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Good afternoon everyone!! thanks for the anniversary wishes yesterday. Pau and I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and picked up a few small things for the house and then we ate our anniversary "dinner" at---Ta-Ta----drum roll, please----
Tastee Freeze! ROTFLOL!!! Ha! Ha! Really, that is where we ate! Pau had his favorite---a foot-long hot dog with chili, cheese, onions--the works. I had my favorite--a burrito garden. But tonight we are going out "for real"--to a catfish place in town. Pau loves catfish and I like it too, but depending on what else they have, I might order chicken.

Hope your visit with your mom goes well, Celia. Just keep loving her--that is all you can do. Too bad about the "bust" at work but it is good that they were caught.

Tammy, I'm glad your MIL is well enough now to go home.

Pepper: hope your co-worker is better--he ought to be with those meds in his system.

Our weather has been a roller coaster and it is on the down side again but will be up again by the week-end or so they say. Did I tell y'all that I have daffodils coming up? Finally!!

Everybody have a good evening!

edited to add: Whoops!--I just re-read that sentence I wrote above about Bed, Bath and Beyond! No comments anyone!!!! LOL

Thanks, Mau! Where you been? Been missing getting into trouble! ☻

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Happy belated anniversary Mau!! Terri sounds like some scary people lived in you house.

I get calls every few months for a police office from what I am guessing is the place he worked. Everytime they call I tell them they have the wrong number!!

I am still sick so all though posting not near as much :o(

The good thing is it is Spring here!!

Feel better, Marie!!! ♥

(Zone 7a)

Hey, Tammy!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hey, Celia!!!

(Zone 7a)

No trouble for me tonight. I have an early shift tomorrow. ☻

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Me either, too tired even after my nap! So nighty night to you!!! ♥

(Zone 7a)

Good night, Gurl! We'll talk tomorrow night. ☺

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Have a good one!
Oh, will be time for a new thread again tomorrow since we chatter so much! HE HE HE

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning, all!

Marie, that is certainly an interesting looking flower! Is that some sort of daylily?
I am glad it is Spring somewhere in the U.S. for it certainly hasn't arrived here! It was 28º on my back porch earlier this morning! :o(( Supposed to go up to a high of near 70º by Sunday, though. I wish winter would quit "toying" with us and just go away!! Of course, I know some of you are still dealing with snow, etc. At least the sun is shining here today.

Pau and I have to drive over to Conway today so I can get my blood drawn (again). We will be eating lunch with some friends at their house. It should be a nice day. Y'all have a good day, too! I'll check in later this afternoon.

Mau

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning all!
Mau, it sure seems like you get poked an awful lot! ☻

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Morning maau. I tis a snakehead iris or something along those lines. Here is some more of what is blooming for me now.
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/817885/
Since I A.D.D. garden I never know what is what but I am hoping to have 2 more blooms of something open in the next couple of days!!
You get blood withdrawn way too much. I hate needles!!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Marie, I love that A.D.D. gardening!!!

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

I think everyone that knows me has come to accept that I cannot indentify most of what I planted. I am praying those daffs multiply since the gohers do not eat them and maybe I will have some to share next year!!

I am telling everyone! I just got a book sent to me called Hot Plants for Cool Climates!!!!

(Zone 7a)

You go, girl! Those flowers are beautiful, even if you don't what they're called!

Good morning, everyone! We had a storm front come through on Sunday. Lots of rain and a little snow but by the end of the day, it was gone. We now have blue skies and lovely sunshine. It feels really good on your skin.

You can see blue sky over the clouds.

Hey, Tammy! ☺

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Well, there certainly was some blue sky over those storm clouds, Celia. We had a beautiful blue sky today with just little white "cotton ball" clouds here and there. It never did get up past 45º though.

Beautiful flowers on that thread, Marie! I'll be glad when some of our "early bloomers" start blooming. What is A.D. D. gardening again? I forgot.

Tammy, I have had to be "poked" every two weeks for the last two months. My blood has been either too thin or too thick. I haven't heard the report for today. They'll call me in the morning. Our regular lady wasn't there today--she was out to lunch when I got there--so another girl drew blood. She couldn't use the little "poker" machine--she had to draw the blood from a vein in my arm but she didn't hurt me, which was good--I didn't feel a thing. The regular lady has a little machine similar to the machine that diabetics use. She just presses it against the end of your finger and there is a quick poke which doesn't hurt at all and it is done. She also can get the results immediately that way. When they draw the blood from your vein, they have to send the blood sample to the lab to be analyzed which takes longer. So now you probably know more than you ever wanted to know about having your blood drawn or your finger poked! LOL I understand that soon those of us that have to have this done monthly or more often will have a machine similar to what the diabetics use at home. Then we can do our own home tests, too. Pau and I both have pacemakers and we each have a little laptop with a mouse that can read our pacemaker, dial the phone number and send a report directly to the doctor without us ever having to leave home. It's amazing! We do that every three months and only have to see our cardiologist once a year as long as everything looks good.
Well, it is supper time. You girls have a good evening. I'll talk to y'all tomorrow.
Mau

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Celia, I did say HI back to you this morning, donno where my post went to!!!!
Mau, glad to know the 'poke' didn't hurt! ☻

(Zone 7a)

I "heard" the Hello anyway, Tammy. ☺

Home from work but going to get some dinner now. Darrell feels MUCH better so we're treating ourselves to take-out. AND, I'm off work tomorrow! Yea, me!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

GOOD! I know I typed it, but when I came back it was gone! ☻

(Zone 7a)

Mau, that's cool about the testing. I've always thought we'd have "hypo-sprays" like on Star Trek by now.

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning, all! A beautiful sunshiney day here in central Arkansas. Heading up to the mid-50's.
Celia, I guess reality hasn't caught up with science fiction yet--but it is getting there! Hope you and Darrell enjoyed your "take-out" last night. What was it--Oriental food? Glad Darrell is feeling better.
I'm going out to take a picture of the bulbs which are starting to come up. I know you girls can hardly wait to see them! LOL but I have to have some proof that Pau and I actually did plant bulbs a couple of months or so ago!

BBL

Mau

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning everyone!

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning, Tammy!

Here is a photo of some of those bulbs I told you about. The yellow flower is a pansy, of course.

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Here is a photo taken of some bulbs which are coming up right now in another of my flower beds. These don't look like daffs or tulips, to me. I really can't say what they are. Any ideas, anyone?

Morning, Mau, I want flowers!!!!

(Zone 7a)

It will come, Tammy!!! LOL And good morning! I'm off to get a new tire put on my truck this morning. It keeps losing pressure and since we have the warranty on them, I'm going to take advantage of it. I'll also stop and see what Lowes has available.

Mau, the sci-fi needs to catch up! LOL What about those flying cars we were promised?

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Morning, Celia! I still don't have crocus blooms, no fair!!! ☻
