OHHHHHHHH I love shoes!!!! Shaun calls me the Amelda Marcos (sp?) of shoes! HA HA HA
Stop and visit, talk all you want. Pt 17
That woman literally had thousands of pairs of shoes! Oprah has a bunch of them, too.
I wouldn't even want to count mine! LOL
LOL. I hear about my shoes all the time. My tennis shoes get tossed and replaced every year to every other year. My every day boots get replaced about every 2-3 yrs. So my shoes last awhile but I still hear about how many I have. LOL. Gotta have a shoe for every occasion.
Not a shoe for every occasion, but a shoe for every outfit and multiple shoes if I don't want to wear a particular style. I've never counted, but I think you guys would be afraid to know how many shoes I have. I don't even know how many coats I have. A lot.
You won't find me, ever, in a bass pro shop or the other store linked above. You also won't find me in those something or other mountain stores we have around here. Here it is, Gander Mountain
http://www.gandermountain.com/
pep, you come up to visit, I'll drop you off there and I'll go to Pier 1, then across the street to the mall. Deal?
That bass pro shop does remind me though, that somebody who used to live here (renter the previous owners had in here), either went on-line or went into a bass pro store and signed up for mailings. This guy forgot his address though. He had the catalog sent to this address. 4 yrs after he had lived here. This is also the guy who had a door company come to his new house and get a quote for garage doors. He asked though, for the quotes to be sent to this address. And the billing as well. Nice guy, huh? This isn't the guy though who ran out on the cable company and took their digital box, so they came looking for it. Imagine the cable guy's surprise when he saw me..it was somebody I went to school with. Then a couple weeks later, a librarian showed up at the door. I explained they no longer lived here and she asked me if they didn't by chance, leave 13 books behind? This was all within the first month of owning this house. We didn't even live here. Well wait, when we had just closed on the house, something like the next day, a man walks up and rings the bell. I answer. The house is empty and a sold by sign in the front yard. The guy goes ahead and asks for "Brad". I repeat the name, but in question form. About that time, John shows up and the guy looks at my husband, JOHN. Brad? the guy asked. I ask him Brad who and he's still looking at John. John says, I'm not Brad, I'm John. I tell the guy we just bought the house and when he said Brad's last name, I knew that as the last renters, who the sellers had a heck of a time getting out and caused us major headaches. I asked the guy if he was a one of those process servers. He said something like that. I then said, a bounty hunter? He just smiled, thanked us for our time and walked down the stairs. Last summer, the phone rang and some lady said she was looking for Brad H*nd*rs*n on the answering machine, and so I picked up. She wanted to speak to him and I told her that he didn't live here. Of course she didn't believe me and thought I was the girlfriend who kicked Brad out, but lived here with another man. Right. She actually argued with me. I then asked her how she got this number. She said they did a search on the ADDRESS and came up with our phone number. They don't pay attention to the name on the number, just that it matched the address. She called twice and I went up to the State's Attorney's office. The next time she called, I told her what the State's Attorney told me to do and she apologized for calling me and I never heard from her again.. Wow! How's that for digressing! LOL
Time for beddy bye....
Hope everyone gets better soon!
Hey, Terry, I wanna know what you were told to do so I can get rid of the idiots that keep calling for the man who used to have our phone number!!!
Do what I did. And if you want to know, you'll have to d-mail me, Tammy.
Hi, everybody!!! Had a nice day visiting with DH. He is feeling better and I got him dressed but not out the door. We watched a couple of movies. We got our taxes done, too. (Well, I did. I went to my brothers' (Doug...number one son, as dad used to call him)and had him help me.
HE HE HE Celia, Dmail me and let me know cause whatever it takes, I will do it! LOL
Glad your visits have been good, for the most part of your family anyway.
Shaun sit here last night and done our taxes! I about fell all over myself when he told me he was gonna do them! LOL
Did you come out in the black?
I might be able to buy me a new plant or two or three! :)
Guess if you have that I need to be out there tomorrow looking, too!
I forgot to check for my daffy's, though. They line the walkway to the front door. These are the crocuses.
Well I just bet mine are open cause several days ago I had buds. Can't believe I haven't been out there to check on them!
I'm half tempted to get the flashlight. lol
It is tempting, isn't it! But my luck I would slip and fall on my fanny and no one would hear me holler! LOL
I would hear you.
Oh you would, huh?! HE HE HE
I went out and looked and no flowers, but the buds are a lot larger! :)
I have good ears. Heh heh heh Post pics when they open. I'm off to bed.
I looked but couldn't see anything yet. Darrell thought I was going somewhere. I said, no, just looking for bulbs. He said, oh. I DID see some very nice worms at work.
HE HE HE I will try to remember to watch for them to open! And I will be off to bed very soon! I bet Darrell thinks we are nuts going out looking for flower buds this time of night! LOL Night night, sweet dreams! ♥
Yup. Night, sweetie.

How can I be married longer than my Mau and Pau?? I distinctly remember Pau say it was 44 years!!
Tammy, mine involved telling them that my next call was to the Illinois Attorney General. I knew who she worked for, so I had her phone number, her extension and her name. Did she really want that? Did the company she worked for, really want that. But...
When we lived in TN, our phone number had previously been in the phonebook as an insurance company. It was in there erroneously, the insurance company was never in our town, never had the phone number. I had at least 5 calls a day from people wanting insurance. I had a man argue with me and tell me to get out the phone book. I asked him what year his phone book was and when he said '01, I said, well there you have it. He didn't let it drop and insisted I flip to such and such a page, which I did and read to him what that page said, in the '03 phone book. After awhile though, of saying you've dialed what you think is the right number, but this number doesn't belong to an insurance company, it got to where I'd ask them what they wanted insured. What year car, what model. They'd tell me and I'd say we don't insure that model or year of car, sorry. Click. Wanted house insurance? We didn't insure houses. Motorcycles? Nope, didn't insure them either. Even on our answering machine, where I wasn't saying "you've reached such and such insurance company", I was leaving your typical "hi, this is" outgoing message, we'd get home and hear some yodel telling us about wanting insurance and leaving their number! Don't they listen? jeepers creepers.
We're expecting something like 6" of snow today, tonight and into morning. Have I said lately I love snow??
HA HA HA Terry! You are such a witty person!!! ♥
You just keep that snow where you are cause I do NOT want anymore!
Good morning, everyone!!! And Happy Anniversary, Mau and Pau!!! Celebrating an anniversary is MUCH more fun than a birthday or Christmas together. Because it's something you both made TOGETHER.
Everyone is well, or, at least, better?
Hey Celia! ♥
Hey, Tammy! ☺ Pretty cool about Mau and Pau, huh.
Yes, it sure is! I am tired today, you? I stayed up WAY too late and got up WAY too early!
Think I am going to check on my crocus since it is daytime!
Hi everyone.
Marilyn....a big Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby!!! And may you have many more!!!
I have been very sick with the flu. Still am not feeling good either. Oh when does this stuff go away??????
Having a hard time eating....coughing my toenails up, etc. Starting my second week of this junk!
But thought I would say hi to you all and let you know I am alive at least.
Hubby has been trying to take good care of me....and my SIL brought us some homemade chicken soup a little while ago...so will have that for supper.
I wanted to say....I rarely get sick....but guess I am paying for it big time now!!!
You all take care.
Hi Marcy! So sorry you had to catch this crap, but hope you get over it SOON! ♥ It does seem to hang on a long time, but you should be on the home stretch now.
Hi, Marcy! Good to hear from you again. I have whatever that is, too. AND DH has it now. It sounds like the TB ward at our house.
Thanks all. I had a flu shot too. We get them every year, and this is the first time I have had the flu in YEARS!!
I missed mine.
Well Celia, don't think you missed much this year! I hope you feel better and your hubby too. My hubby had it first, but not nearly as bad as me...thank goodness.
Ok...I am off here and back to my warm blankies...lol!!! Can't seem to stay warm!
Get better, Marcy. Darrell couldn't get warm, either. There's so much coughing going on around here, the CATS have started protesting. ☺ We cough, Monty starts chattering. Cough, cough, chatter, cough, chatter, chatter, cough...all day long. And night.
Well, gurls...I'm headed to work. Stay out of trouble. (That was for you, Tammy! ☺)
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
Happy Aniversary Mau and Pau!!
The son of a coworker of mine has a severe ear infection in one ear, the flu, and pnemonia. All rolled into one. :~( He's on meds for it and apparently they are working already. :~)
We are supposed to get more snow tonite though only a trace to 2 inches. I'd rather it dump on Terry. :~p
Okay, checking back in after work. Not much happened. Just wrapping up after a huge bust. Employees involved. It's always sad when that happens.
We're having some fun weather but nothing exciting.
WOW Celia, bet that was an interesting night!
Good morning all.
