Thank you so much! I love the scarf, it's perfect - orange and fuzzy. Sonora and both think the necklace is so cool. It's such a neat idea. I wish I had some old spoons kicking around. Ella likes playing with it while shes nursing so that's cool too. I can't wait to put some pictures in the little key chain and there are bees on the potholder (which is hanging up in the kitchen now - no pots for it).

Can you tell I'm excited? Again, thank you very much to my secret pal.

I was over here reading and saw the part about Betty's nephew/great nephew and said that I would be praying for full recovery too.

You all have a grat weekend if I don't get back before. Oh yeah, telling Gardengirl that she would be within fifteen miles of me tonight if she gets to go to concert. Gonna be a good concernt, I bet. Have fun.

Okay, to those who might know more about keyboards than I do. For some reasonmy numeric keys won't work. They will work on the side of keyboard that is not above letters, but I can't use my exclamation mark, or the "at" mark or any of the symbols above the numbers. I use a lot of exclamation marks when trying to make a point and I am missing it. I was also trying a bit ago to order something and when it asked for my email address, I couldn't get the "at" sign to work. Oh woe is me. Has anyone had this issue before? I hope that I have hit a button my mistake somewhere.

Just got back into work, went a shopping..picked up a lovely gift for my 'egg swap'..it's all in how one interprets it isn't it..I picked up little 'jelly beans' then looked around..there was a beautiful globe shaped like an egg with bunnies inside, turn it upside down and it snowed..well, you know how lucky I am with things getting there in one piece..not good, so didn't I find the nicest metal bird feeder, two bunnies holding up a carrot, carrot top creates the roof..just so cute..I'm sure my 'secret pal' doesn't come to this forum so it's ok to share...

Then I passed Ezzewear and thought I'd drop in..well Laura you'll be pleased to know they had 2 gorgeous tops, couldn't resist them so off to Australia they go tonight..lol...

Well this rolled me," she says 'someone you don't like died then?" but mostly I finally get to soak it all in and read all the posts over the last two days and I have tears rolling down my face. Somehow the card rolled by me but now I won't wait for it anymore. Bummed about that.

I am so glad you were so blind sides Betty. I was there when that (I thought it was a man B)told you all that crap. I could have choked him and so could of a lot of other people, Shar was there too I think. I wrote that guy some dmails to tell him what I thought of that, as nicely as I could but it was just plain mean spirited and not well thought out, but I am SO GLAD that Betty started this thread. I have sent a few wounded soals over here to post but I don't know if they lurk or never came.

This is a thread for people that want REAL FRIENDSHIP, not anonomous aquaintances. I am like that too.

Ruby, went back and read your post..going to check out the manufacture site and investigate similar here..sounds like something I should have..lol..not sure about the keyboard?? not too knowledgeable about computers because DS Jeff writes programs for IBM etc. and he fixes all...hates to but does...smile/smile

39 minutes to go..Paul just called in, he had appt at dr.'s to take some tags off from under his arm and neck..Dr. wouldn't..made appt. for Mon. to have it done in the hospital so they can biopsy...sitting here shaking my head..

Do any of you get silly/giggle when things are at their worse...Suzanne and I were talking this morning..had to tell her my story..

After I posted about Mathew (which is no laughing matter) I went over to the prayer line and asked for prayers, but how many times do people want to see the same name asking for prayers, so it came to me,( I was tired) to acknowledge the fact that I kept asking for prayers and thought I just update them on a lot of my prayer request...

Well this morning I got up and read it, OMG in big letters...sounds terrible..into the laughing..I'm trying so very hard give them an update and I make it sound as though everyone they pray for die or others get worse...imagine..sure hope no one took it that way..with the stress of hearing this bad news it made me giddy, just my way of dealing with it I guess...not nice...

I could have stayed at Home Sense..OMG such beautiful things..I'll have to spend a Sat. there shortly before my money goes into the garden..lol

lol. I am laughing my booty off. I prayed and forgot to tell you that. With the brain when there is too much cranial pressure, they crack the skull or cut it, rather so the swelling brain can push out the opening until it unswells. Sounds like a good thing, but scary, your nephew and his wife or x wife must be falling apart just waiting. That is so scary. I know a similar story of a lady my friend Myra is friends with and they did the same to her son and he IS alright now. Prayers will continue.

Hi all - I made it back from the quilt show. Shoulders a little sore from lugging all the goods around and the wallet a little lighter! I have a tons of pictures I want to share but I don't want to clog up the thread so if you'd like to see them, D-mail you email address and I will "invite" you to view them on the Kodak site. Some of those quilts were absolutely AMAZING!!!

Bad news, Van Halen has been postponed tonight so we're staying home. I'm actually OK with that because the weather has been nasty - freezing rain, so the thought of driving up to Charlottesville at night was not something I'd want anyone to do. Also, I was going to have to leave DD home alone so now I don't have to worry about that. DD went back to school today. She has had no fever this whole time and she started whining about how bored she is and that she wanted to go back to school. Don't have to ask me twice!

Good news: I picked up one of my quilts at lunch today from the quilters. It is the one I made for DD's room and it's beautiful! So all I need to do is put the binding on and wash it and it'll be done! I will post a picture tonight.

Tomorrow I have a busy day. I'm heading down to Norfolk on a class "field trip" to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. I actually work there during the summer of 1976. I'm excited to go back and see how much it has changed. I'm driving down with one of the other students. It should be an interesting ride because he is a dye-in-the-wool Republican and well, I'm not. We've had some interesting chats!!! I will stop by my parent's house on the way back and drop off two quilts my DM had quilted and then back home to sew!

I guess that we should start an Elephant Collecting Club. I have lots of them too. Will have to count and report how many at some point.

Betty, I went looking for a computer message board on here and saw a post made by you last September. You had 273 responses to it. Oh yeah, had a new keyboard in closet and this one works. Yippie. The post that was there was the time that you were telling about getting asked to leave your last home. Awww man...that is so sad, but happens far more often than people know.
There were posts there by people who are still posting on here today. Hi ladies. They were pointing out that you had done what abused women's group message is - The best revenge is living well. What came to my mind when reading it is that instead of "becoming bitter, you became better." There!!!

I am on marriage number three and have finally done things correctly. After much therapy I figured out that I had married and had children by two abusers. That has made for a very interesting life too. I know the feeling of grief very personally. Today I can thankfully say that I have a very good and solid marriage and that the rest of my life is pretty doggone good too.

Dawn, you are the person who told me of this group I believe. Not too very long ago either. I was very hurt in another thread too, even though things were done through a dmail. I believe that in my case it was because someone thinks they have had a harder time iin life than the next person and they have chosen to become bitter and not better over it. Thus, they attack others. It is always uncomfortable being the victim of an attack, but we need to try and have sympathy for those who are miserable and feel the need to spread the misery around.

You folks all have a good weekend and stay safe. I will be checking back to see what the word is on the nephew Betty.

Hi everyone. Sorry I missed the party, but my thoughts were with you Betty. You deserve it and so much more.

Kept the granddaughters last weekend, and the baby gave me the worst flu I've ever had. It doesn't sound like hers was too bad, but it knocked me for a loop. I've been down since Tuesday. Today is the first day I haven't had fever and can actually get up and move around a little. Nasty stuff!

We have ice on the roads/yards again. (sigh) I am so ready for spring.

Oh..Gilli, wanted to say thank you for telling me whats happened with your school. i am sorry you have to go through with things like that. Does your son have Autism?? My Nephew does, however not sure to what degree. I do have to say we do have wonderful Special Ed care...but we just have to be careful with who really needs to be in them.
I am so proud that you are taking on such an endeavor. Paving the way for our Children is exceptionally difficult. However, with my situation...I have been given a most incredible learning lesson on the education from a very Dear friend of all of ours. She explained to me in a parent understanding., LOL the way I could understand...ever so patient. Got angry with me, and Supported my final decision. I would reccomend her to anyone needing help-for anything...But she already does everyday, right here. Smiles....
