Here I am again, well Paul is still at home "sounding depressed" lol and Suzanne just called .. she's so much work to do before she leave on her vacation tomorrow so she's waiting till around 11 going in, spending the night and her DH will bring all their things in the morning for their flight so I suggested (ever so nicely) that I could just stay home, answer the calls and call her on her cell if it's something she has to deal with..so, not taking my office clothes off yet, but sure am hoping...

Jeannine, poor little soul..don't you just fret terribly when they are ill...let's hope the next few days of rest and medication brings him around..working from home, wow that sounds like the way to go...lol

Speaking of dead, past DH's cemetery Tuesday night and Roger's grave is along the roadside., next to his is his father and next to father is father's brother..anyway, all have solar lights hanging, it looked absolutely beautiful with snow gleaming and lights on...so very peaceful..

f we havent heard thats what i hate about craigs list you never know if someone beat you or not out of something, but we did get the estimate on the two back rooms flooring 1200.00 for repair and re finishing and staining i guess granny will get the figure on the master bedroom where the damage was so i guess i'll have to wait to hear.
omg what a comotion this morning one of the dogs was barking up a storm in the bedroom so i took her off the bed and she went flying to the back door, so i went out to check all looked clear she flew with such force to start barking like mad at the fence which there is a rose on a arbor so i really cant see what is on the fence omg its a huge racoon so i turned the hose on to make him move away to the next yard, do you know the nerve it came back to peak at me so i started picking lemmons and throwing them finally left well i think that racoon ran into a skunk within 5minutes the whole house was reaking of skunk yuck

lol..know it's not a laughing matter but can visually see the charade that was going on...yuk to the smell...

you should of seen what i did a few years back, caught them in the pond flipped out started to throw rocks and broke the glass covering to the electric meter oops lol dh came out to see what all the crashing noise was about boy did i hear about that for a while lol well off to work everyone have a great day

All plowed out, snow off back shed, Cliff did back area and front walkway...I did steps and front porch..now lunchtime, still home, that's a plus lol..3 of 6 panels soldered..3 more then soldered into a lamp and my day complete..

I was out shovelling the walk and cleaning off my car..got the garbage out and recycle..they are late..
My neighbour who usually plows out the driveway works midnghts so he is sleeping.
It is too deep for me to shovel the whole thing..last time I had very sore muscles.

Up..make coffee..turn on computer..read new e-mail...check on threads...see what you are all up to...
Put Breakfast television on.

Have a shower clean the bathroom..make the bed..do a few dishes after I have something to eat..

This morning....
I washed the kitchen floor..watching The View on TV now......wrote some e-mails to family..chatted to my neighbour.
Cooked some seasoned roasted potatoes...sometimes I make homemade soup or cook a roast. to use for several meals. In between this I pop back to check the computer.
I read a lot..newspaper..books..and I read lot of things on the computer..especially gardening related blogs or play with photos..watch the birds..make phone calls to friends or family..Sometimes I go for a walk..and in the spring I will go for a bike ride occasionally. I go shopping two or three times a week..library..and the other than that ..just general upkeep of the house. and feeding myself...LOL
I have a few daytime shows I really like to watch..Oprah..and Cityline with Marilyn Dennis.

Just small stuff..puttering around the house..Makes for a quiet ,self indulgent life..but after 35 years of running aournd looking after other people at the hotel while I was working I just want to pamper myself.
I have two affirmations signs in my home....Tranquilty and Simplify.
and in the spring it will be time to "stop and smell the flowers."

The smell of skunk is dreadful! Even if you drive near a dead one on the road the smell stays in the car for quite awhile.

My friend use to have a skunk family and raccoons too in Pagosa Sp Colorado. They were all eating her dog's food and when they had babies, they 'd bring them to show her the family and they loved Debbie, they were like dogs I guess, must have figured she was feeding them.

Why are you going to Grant's Pass? Dangerous this time of year ha?

morning, man, i would hate to have to shovel the snow!

well yesterday just got up and went to work. DH worked a 12 hour shift, when he does that i dont get to see him as i am asleep when he comes home.
I came home, cleaned the kitchen and then my son called me, he was at a blues club not to far away having a drink with a friend who is a musician and asked me to come join them, I NEVER go out so i thought, ok, i will go. I i got on the 'glad rags' (fancy clothes) and off i went to the blues club.
my friend was playing the guitar and there was a sax and drums and all sorts. He got me up to sing 'summertime' with him and i got a standing ovation!!! how about that! hahahah it was good for the ego if nothing else.

today doctors and pyscologists and the like..... maybe see my grandkids....

Kyle just called, they got back about 1/2 hr. ago so he's getting ready to go out with dad snowmobiling..all had a great time in Buffalo though their team lost...said he'll drop by over the weekend to tell me all about it..he's a gabber so I'm sure I'll get the 'he said,she said'..

Took a little nap when I got home but I sure could sleep longer. The kitchen is a mess and I need to put some stuff away yet.

Betty a day off! It can always be made up like you said. Any pictures of what you are working on? We didn't get any of the snow. Even had some sunshine today but it is colder.

A normal day is having a cup of coffee and reading DG then answering if the mind is working. Puttering around the house or going to work. Do some cleaning or paperwork. Garden plans or catalog shopping. Play with the dog and go outside. NOthing exciting. Feel like I cook all the time. Which reminds me I have to figure out something for supper. Maybe taco salads.

Liz we very seldom see the raccoons or any damage. There has been more damage from having the bear visit the birdfeeders. It sure gives you some good stories tho.

The store is getting busier. We are getting ready for inventory. The manager saw her first dumpster diver. I know some people do it for garden stuff! But a couple of weeks ago we threw out food that had thawed when the freezer broke. It sat in the store for a day or so and some of that was missimg. Must not of made them sick!

Have to go and do that supper thing.

WOW! Betty, DH wants to know if you'll pack some of that snow in a box and send it to us!!! LOL. I'll tell you where global warming is... it's here. Yesterday we hit 80 degrees here - a record!! And we might have snow flurries on Sunday! This is why we're all getting sick!!!

Just tidied the craft room, can't believe I've been at it all day..lamp is now in the back bedroom, looks pretty..lol..nice to use up old lamp bases and also left over glass..only cost was my time, the lead tape and solder..so probably $20.00...

I've one more of the same lamp left so I'll probably let MIchelle (who just lost her husband) have it when she comes to do a lamp...I'd probably have dozens/dozens IF I had more wall plugs..

Vicki..I'll include a photo of it finished..not much different than Suzanne's..used same glass except for 2 colors...now we almost have matching lamps..

June just called to see if I was still snowed in..was saying they had Barrie Hospital closed today..hardly any staff..so whoever was at work had to stay and work..having a state of alert is rare..

That is exactly why Jeannine everyone is sick..we get these storms and then a week later mild weather, then storm again..geeze..either let it be winter or spring..everyone and everything is confused..

Shar, is Liz not home yet??? Liz/LIz come and play..we want to know what Shar got...how will I possibly be able to get to bed and have a goodnights rest when I'm sitting guessing what Shar received...

Hello Ladies - Wow have I had a busy week. Someone asked whether I have reupholstered the chair yet. The answer is......NO. But I have all of my supplies together now. I had to wait a few days for a friend to bring me some foam to make seat with. I also took the before pics yesterday. So, I am officially giving myself a new "due date" extension.

I had a person come twice this week to help clean house. I usually work along with her and so that was two days I didnt get to work on chair. Wednesday was my massage and Chiropractor visit. Yesterday just did household chores and laundry. Biggie in terms of cooking this week was making a big pot of chili which turned out almost too spicy/hot for me to eat. Hubby and son both liked it and ate it though thankfully. I also made ;a big bowl of jello with fruit salad. Yummy.

Today I go the opposite direction for shopping and then visiting grand daughter. Need to stop at bank and open an acount for my grand daughter. I saved more than $90.00 for her while her mother was pregnant This came from dropping spare change in to a piggy bank that I keep near my desk. There are several stores that I need to go to while visiting. Busy, busy, busy.
