Hmmm, had'nt thought about that...
54.6° slight drizzle ☺

he takes pictures of dead people? i think i missed that one.
Purely coincidental - I think.
Al, I thought Victor got you that 'job'?
ackkk...still snowing like crazy. Had a few spells of freezing sleet, yuck. At least 8 inches of new snow now, last time I took the dogs out they vanished in the drift at the back door, they are not impressed.

We're having fierce winds tonight. It feels eerie.
Pirl, the winds haven't picked up here yet. So I guess I can expect them soon. Patti
They're mainly coming from the northwest but the porch windows are being pounded and that's from the southwest so hold on tight.
Boo! It was cloudy too!
A ROBINDOG is an unforgettable airedale, Patti, although our best dog ever was an Irish wolfhound named Nora. Loved your border collies--I know they are bright & energetic. Our GSP mix fell in love with one during obedience class, & neither one did well! The weather ranges are so great from LI to Canada to WI--it makes for interesting reading, but I'm glad I'm on the warmer side. The ice pics were super--our ice is gone except for the brick walk, drive & bluestone patio--everywhere you walk! WC--do you live near Commack? Boo--what kind of orchids? I have 5--none are blooming, & I'm thinking of tossing them.
Great day today.

40 here with WC of 35. Varying winds. The Weather Bug site was saying 28 MPH from the WNW but as I look out not a thing is moving.
It is 36 degrees on my back porch this morning..which is warmer than it has been te past few days!!
Is that a "to go" order Al?
hee hee
Al, Me neither. Is this a rodent's early St Pats day attempt or is it the latest in rodent body bags for a viewing at a wake?
That was Christmas actually. House would be ALL full of varmints if I didn't have a say.
This is in your house? What is it, pardon, my lack of rodent knowledge? How big? It looks like something big enough to eat, if you liked rodent, like an Ecuadorian capybara which tastes a little like pork/chicken. Patti
It's a guinea pig - a nonsleeping constant chewing animal.
Guinea pig, Patti. I had 2 once then that turned into a million. I adore them though (none here now). They would squeek for veggies every time I opened the fridge and they were sexual active very very young!
Icy driveway, etc. here. Best you stay where you are this weekend, Patti.
So this guy is not 25lbs? It looked huge. Boojum, what is the ice situation up your way? Patti
Haven't the house in 2 days, but the dog walker says icy drive. Our road a bit messy but I don't hear any skids. Rt. should be fine. It's warming up-36 smackeroonies.
35 and kind of raw here. Two NY groundhogs did not see their shadow. But I think their shadows spotted them.
Boojum, cross posted, yep, we are staying here, I am leery of ice. I don't drive on it well and walk on it even worse. Plus I have new Hipps coming out today. Glad you are about to have a heat wave. We are suppose to have no days/nights below 32 degrees for days. I can get out and do some pruning. Nell likes to help. This is her method. She does this all the time for who knows why? Patti
Action shots!
Yowza! take that tree.
She likes to attack it from all angles. She acts like she is hearing something in this tree, but no birds in this tree. She will do her jumping thing also when there are certain birds around, one cardinal in particular. She mostly does this to two trees out of many. We think it must be some insects that are annoying her. But she has been doing this for 5 years. Go figure. Her sister does none of this. This was a half twist that got a 4.3 from the judges. Patti
Al love the little piggy shot.... and Patti that dog is too funny
Sre for the late reply ROBINDOG, (usually I skim over the weather thread because the weather has been so crazy these days, lol!). No, Commack is about 1/2hr west of me via the LIE (495) @ ~65mph. I live near Centereach. What I've seen of Commack is very nice but I wanted to get as far, FAR, away from the city as I could - and still be able to get to it without too much of a problem when I needed to! ☺
Temp 47°, wind 20mph
Thanks Anita!
i like guinea pigs - i was thinking about getting one or two (of the same gender) again, but since we have adopted the "wild"cats, i am afraid they'd like a guinea pig too.
i like their little whislting sound. (on the kid's show Pinky Dinky Doo, she has a pet guinea pig called Mr. Guinea Pig who plays the trumpet.)
My son loves that show.
Al, That is beyond amazing. Striking. Thanks, Patti
Oh, this sounds like my kinda show!! My kids (now adults) had guinea pigs named Guina and Guinea. Original, no?
Patti, Nell is a freak. My namesake Boojum tries to catch the Canada Geese by barking at them and leaping. Hope springs eternal.....or maybe it's his small brain.
Cool shot Al - on this thread too!
