0 here now. Slow warm up coming.
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 11
3g's your forecast is terrible and cold!! Makes spring seem farther away with predictions like that!!
Cold but no wind out there now. The gusts yesterday took down a blue spruce at the corner. Luckily it did not cause any damage.
14, and no more wind here either. Snow and sleet predicted for Friday eve. A church in the city lost its steeple. Not as bad as the winds we had a few weeks ago.
Yes, mixture of sleet and rain and more wind for tomorrow, followed by a milder weekend. That little rodent better not see his shadow.
Cool! (Literally and figuratively.)
I got a lamb and a preying mantis for sure.
I see lots of things in there.
Lamb?? What is this obsession with sheep, Al? It's prolly a dog again.
I see a couple faces...
What no penguins??
- Nice shot! ☺
I have more than one obsession now really! That guy from Mars Attacks.
I do see a sheep's head! All the way to the left at the horizontal bar.
with a moose's nose!
That's it - more obvious that last time.
Wondering what all these people with nothing better to do are looking at...
I have the day off, and fixed the fence that the wind blew down yesterday, and now just want to sit and DG.
DG has become a verb!
Okay I give up. I see feet and boots. But I don't see the house.
Just like Vienna. I think I better go eat, I'm getting very weird.
What body of water is this, Al?
That's the Fox River. I've posted shots from this area before.
Not quite Vienna Booj - eat up ;)
Al, love the industrial photographs, stunning. Have you ever looked at a series of books published by MIT of Water tower, Gas tanks, and other industrial shots, by Bernd Becher and Hilla Becher. I lost several prized copies of early ones due to water damage a few years back. They are amazing, but I think some of yours are too.

Stunning tree too, what is it. My DH mom was from WI. I haven't been there in years.
I went to the beach with the dogs today. Thanks, Patti
Yes - many shots. I didn't remember you mentioning the name though. How close is it to your house?
Those are cool Patti. I love industrial stuff too. Not much around where I live. I love old machinery, and of course anything electrical - generators, etc. There was a legend around at work that Admiral Rickover once stood on top of our 5000 HP motor-generator set and barked, 'Start it up!', but we have never seen the photo that was supposed to have been snapped. I posed in the same spot - with everything off of course.
Beach? That's better than the sand I used to have in the kids' sandbox!
That's an old industrial area Patti. I like the books on old houses and watertowers in that set.
Victor - That area is about a 15 minute drive from here.
no kidding Patti... very cool puppy pic
Al those shots are great.. thanks for sharing
Nice Patti. I love the Becher's work.
29 with sleet currently
34 now with rain and possible sleet due later. Good day to spend time in the basement with my dahlia tubers.
I just posted on Crazy Weather what is supposed to happen here but right now nothing. Colin is pounding on the piano and singing at the top of his lungs - ouch!! I think it is time to get off the computer and shut the door on this room!! He's got a lot to learn about singing!! LOL Eleanor
-8C or 20F, cold.
Snowing like crazy. A nice day to stay in.
Sposta start soon here. Sleet and snow-2 inches then freezing rain. I cancelled work.
Raining and 32.
Well, just had the dogs out...5 inches of new snow and still accumulating, white out conditions.
