It's 40º and snow coming. We didn't get it when we were supposed to, so here it comes now! Two days of warm weather is all we got. :-(

Over the last 30 mins. our weather has changed DRAMATICALLY. Heavy dark clouds have moved in swiftly and it's real dark out.

And we didn't really get what they predicted, so what else is knew? Today is supposed to be in the 40's and raining + wind. Tonight the bottom falls out and snow comes tomorrow.

I've got the 4th ? I think it's the 4th anyway, Pirates of The Caribbean waiting to watch also. Secret Window sounds familiar, but I'm drawing a blank. I'm bad on movie names and remembering what happened. Stephen King stuff I usually remember though.

Mau, Krista went upstairs when John and I watched Saw 4. She thought she'd get scared. You remember my sister Rochelle? She had one of the Chucky movies when Krista was something like 8. I think it was Child's Play 2. Scared her to death. So much so, that any dollies in her room had to be removed! I got a Bride doll when I was 12. I had put it on her dresser when she was young. I had to remove the doll from her room. It was talking to her, she said! Don't know why, but I have always loved scary movies.

Repairman comes this afternoon to fix the dishwasher. Good thing too! John's hands are getting really dry from all that dish washing....LOL

Our weatherman must have been sadly mistaken--Pau and I just came back from a trip to Home Depot and Wal-Mart (both places in the same day!). It was just 40º when we got back home. I don't think there is any way the temp will make it up to 59º this afternoon. :o((

I got 2 of those little mini-greenhouses that Wal-Mart sells. Each one has 72 of those little peat pots and also a clear plastic top that fits over them. I didn't get a grow light because it "dawned" on me that I have fluorescent lighting under all my kitchen cabinets so I can just put the greenhouses under those. :o)) I'm going to plant some seeds today, hooray!

I have three of those. I love them.

Well the dishwasher repairman came. NOT the one I had hoped for. In other words, it was John. Not my John, repairman John ☺ Anyway, the dishwasher hoses don't go to the basement. So I don't know what my John was "feeling" down there that he thought was the dishwasher hoses. The guy started it up and wouldn't you know it, water started pouring out of the valve and all over my maple floors! AGAIN!! Sheesh, I told him it would do that. Did he listen? Do men listen when a woman talks? NO! And of course they don't have the part. It needs to be ordered. Poor John (mine), his hands are really going to get dry from all the dish washing he's going to be doing! LOL

Not warm here, although the thermometer says 40. The wind is bone chilling. Hasn't rained hardly at all either.

My parents have returned from their cruise thru the Panama Canal. They got me a necklace. I have it on now, but it's not exactly a necklace I will wear after I remove it later today. Thick leather strings, whatever you want to call them. You tie them together. No chain, just the leather. Didn't know there was such a thing as black jade, but that's what this is. It has my zodiac sign on it and it also says Kan. I can't remember what my mom said that meant. The way the planets were aligned in my birth month? Not into astrology, so I really have no clue. It is pretty though, just not something I'd wear.

I don't think Celia's photo would be considered discussing current events, IMHO. (I know--initials drive you crazy!) That could be a soldier from any number of past wars petting a sweet little kitty. Of course, one might be able to identify the war by the type of gun the soldier is carrying but who is looking at the gun, anyway? and who is discussing the war? Certainly not I. Well, this is a subject better left alone.

Mau, I bought some goat milk hand lotion I found, locally made, and John is fast using it up! I'm just glad somebody here likes to do dishes. I figure if I've got to clean 2 toilets, then him doing the dishes is a fair trade☺

And no, it's not the photo discussing current events. It's the discussion that could ensue that would be considered current events. We're not discussing any of that, but you never know what offends people who only lurk, don't post. See? IMO, is one I've had for a long time Mau. Same for BTW, IOW and a few others. I get and use those. It's just that when I type, I'm thinking in my head and I don't talk to you saying, OH! BTW, did you hear...whatever. Understand? Sometimes it just gets hard to figure out when the whole sentence seems to be a bunch of initials (whatever you call them).

Hi everyone! Sorry, have been offline ALL afternoon and early evening. DS was working on my computer. He put a new sound card in, and also brought me a new headset. And wouldn't let me pay for any of it!! Bad boy! I WILL pay for it....he just thinks not. Anyway...everything seems to be working fine now..yayyy! And while he was working on the computer and I had nothing to do...lol..I learned to text on my new cell phone!! Imagine that!! No wonder the kids think it's fun!!
I have been reading. It's just hard for me to keep up with so many diff threads...lol.!

Terry, we had hot links that tear out your stomach lining and I had a leftover subway sandwich which has caused an uproar here in my house. sheesh.

Oh and ask John if he wants to come down here and do my dishes. That's the only thing I hate doing. Would rather clean the tub and toilet than do the stinking dishes. LOL

LOL Marilyn! I said I didn't want to know how either, but DIL sorta showed me yesterday! When I say sorta...she went over it so fast, I still didn't know what she was doing. Today I got out the book...lol! Learned it myself! I probably won't do much of it though. Don't know many to text to!!
I would rather do dishes than toilets!!! I actually don't mind doing dishes...unless there are a ton of them at once! I don't own...nor have I ever...a dishwasher. Wouldn't mind having one though...lol! DH is pretty good at it...lol!

I clean toilets everyday and as long as they aren't covered in you know what i'm happy. If they get covered everyone gets their ears blistered.

Never had a dishwasher? Oh my! We've never owned a home that didn't have one! My parents built a house when I was 9, even it had a dishwasher, so I got spoiled by that. I hated apartment living for a lot of reasons, most assuredly no dishwasher! I too would rather clean a toilet than do dishes. Probably because I'm not hearing my parents in my head telling me what I did wrong and tossing whatever the item is back into the water? They never stood over me when I cleaned a toilet. LOL
