Christi, don,t have them deliver it if it is wet, it will be a mess and the soil texture will be damaged by compaction.
Waxahachie Plant Party - trade page
right - have them wait and it will be worth it.
Talked to them today and we are going to pick it up. 2 1/2 yards in our pickup at a time. Definitely plan to wait until it is dry. The gentleman I talked to is very knowledgable..another good resource. Thanks for your concern. They will deliver all of it for $65. but can't get into our alley and it would be in the front yard.
Not convenient at all. Gonna get the yard crew to help. We would both be in the chirpractors office if we tried it ourselves. So sorry those years are behind us.
Here I am OT..AGAIN!
Hey girl, don't be concerned about going off topic, your thoughts and feelings make what you say more meaningful.
You're a sweetheart.
You - or anyone - can get off topic in my threads, now or ever.
Sounds like fun - I talked to them a couple of times and they have wonderful stuff - really.
Were it not for the two of you and many others, I wouldn't even know I needed dirt. This is especially mixed for Dallas area. Among other things it is mixed with lava and green sand. Sounds like a Dirt Doctor recipe.
sounds wonderful
Yes, it would take you along time to build up soil like that the regular way.
I like pizza, Steve!
T.J. what did you mean in your previous post?
Just bein' silly(~;
Here I was reading all the posts above to try and find anything about pizza...
If only y'all could see me laughing, now!
I am to now that I know you are pulling one on us.
I wantedto post something totally off the wall and that was the first thing I that came to mind!
You did good - it was very off the wall.
Thanks, Mitch! I've had my fun for the day!
We are an easy bunch to entertain. Glad for it!
Hey Bronc did ya offer them any of your candy???????
Yeah y'all he had candy monday home made hard candy ...cinnamon, root beer, raspberry, mint and anise...did he share it???? probably not ...not even with the dog I bet...poor neglected thing loved the petting he got.
Oh and never never ever let him put fuel in your truck he forgets about it .....hahahahahahahahaha
this place your talking about the soil from do they have a website and are the locations only in the Dallas area?
Phyllis, google: Living Earth Technology. They have several locations.
Lots of different mixtures. We are getting the
Specialty Soil. Mixed for the Dallas area. Runs from $30-$40 a cu. yd. Since it is so high in nutrients needs no additional additives. Can hardly wait for the weather to clear up so we can go get it.
Bumping this up - time to start getting those lists up folks. Shelia will be by soon to start linking everything up - lets get some things on here!
***I have these now, will add more later as it dawns on me I have it--
1. Sisyrinchium 'Suwannee' ( A northern Florida variety of a North American Native that's hardy to North Carolina--they grow it at Plant's Delight Nursery). This is definitely not an invasive species--it has NEVER reseeded at my house, but its very easy to divide.
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/144341/
For Bronc--2
2. Manfreda maculosa (a Texas Native)--the following picture most closely resembles my "strain" for lack of a better word--these are one year old seedlings (but good sized, almost that big)--like baby Dalmations, they are just now getting their "spots".
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/104386/
3.Zephyranthes labufarosea--mine are white, white with pink tips, to light pink. I can't tell by looking at the bulb which you will get. =)
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/158142/
4.Ipheion uniflorum 'Wisley Blue'--I have bazillions of these:
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/100911/
***I have other stuff too, you will need to talk to me to get me to bring it
For Mitch:
Sprekelia formosissima
***I'm looking for salvia's, a trailing rosemary, any older variety of Narcissus that I don't have, I need Sternbergia lutea if anyone has any to hopefully persuade mine to set seeds, any variety of Tulipa clusiana (it has to be this species and its varieties--its all that will naturalize for me) for the same reason I need the Sternbergia, small azalea, small camellia (these can grow larger later, I just need to get them in the car, which is not that large), small oak-leaf hydragea, small sweet olive, almost any east Texas native (or one that will do OK here). I'll add to this as I think about it. =)
I haven't met too many bulbs I don't like--unless its one I have too many of them already.
Debbie

Sheila, can you take me off for now? Not positive yet, but I think I have a conflict on that date. TIA.
That is a bummer Patty, sorry to hear that. Hope to see you somewhere else.
Well, I'll be at Melva's next weekend, and the RU in CS on 4/12. Wish I could be in Waxahachie, though!
I will see you at Melva's then and CS too. I am going to try to get more active this year since I retire and get out and meet more DGers. May be calling on some of my friends for a "road trip" buddy later this year! LOL!
Oh Patti I hope you will make it on the 19th, T.J. has made so many good plans.
