Game Predictions

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

there is a team called the Wild?!?
Call of the Wild?
Wild Thing?
Wild Wild West?
Wildflowers?
Wild Ride?

must be fun to be a headline writer in their town...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yep.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Ok, I see, well sort of. It must have been that I had my 1976 Red Sox (no "s") hat on and it was making me myopic. It is a little sad, the hat as well as my powers of observation. Patti

UNH has Wild Cats, I think they play hockey.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hey I waited two days to say this since I did not want to offend. But you noticed the cocky Giant fans with the '18-1' signs. Also, on the radio in NY, there was a group of them who talked about patenting 'Eighteen and one'. Well, as soon as I saw the sign at the game I thought a better one would have been 'Eighteen and lost'. I'm ducking!

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Victor, the sad and shocking thing about the game was how in the world could the Patriots lose against such an inferior team, a wild card at that.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hi Maria,

It just proves the old adages that you have to play the game and on any given Sunday...

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Right Victor, Brady just could not do it all by himself.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Any predictions for the Pro Bowl yet? I can't wait! NFC,NFC,NFC

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I predict no snow.

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

Maria, you're right - Brady couldn't do it by himself. But his offensive line was tied up most of the game. They couldn't protect him. Now, why didn't our defense attack Manning the way they did Brady? I don't know.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

They tried - the Giant offensive line did a great job protecting him.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

If I am right, your defense shouldn't be playing against your offense???

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Only at practice.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I predict UConn will defeat Syracuse by 2 tonight.

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Dave...graduated SU 1970.......did not care about sports...except the basketball player I lived with.....so, I hope UConn wins for you!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

The other EE at work was a Syracuse grad and always followed the teams and was a very active alum - even in his eighties.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

mrsj, Like most of my predictions, I waited until the game was over. This way I get them all right. Thanks for the good wishes

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Ok you nice people, am off this thread till some one comes around when baseball starts, do not know anything about college stuff, was brought up without opposing sport teams at the University, nor in highschool, we just had to study.

Maria

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

LOL Dave!!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Baseball is not too far off, Maria!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I go to see UConn vs GA Tech today. Wish me luck!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

and your prediction?

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Victor - we could use a new thread here.

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

I think the only prediction left is the Pro Bowl.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I predict UConn will beat GA Tech by 12!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Dave, I asked early this morning!!!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

My prediction didn't solidify until later.

Yonkers, NY(Zone 5b)

Hmmmmm.... It's Sunday.... no football.
What am I gonna do?!??!

:o/

Nancy

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Do not, I'll repeat - do not try cleaning. It's boring and not all it's cracked up to be.

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

Wow - reading that, i just remembered - i had a dream that it was baseball opening day, and i hadn't known it until i was right by the stadium and saw all the excitement! i couldn't figure out why i didn't know anything about it, and why the Mets games weren't scheduled on my Tivo.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Wow, Amy. You are a fan.
I got my taxes ready to go to "my people"

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Cool to have people, Dave. I do my own.

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

I don't know about any other cities, but here in Boston the unofficial first day of spring is when the trucks are loaded to take equipment down to FL for spring training. They left Friday! Some serious fans consider it a holiday.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Yeah! How many days until pitchers & catchers report?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Four days for the Mets.

Yonkers, NY(Zone 5b)

My official first day of Spring is when the "Bike It Sunday" signs are set up on the Bronx River Parkway.

Here's last year's sign.

Can they fit all the steroids and growth hormones in the equipment van or do they have a second van just for the drugs?
