but it so much better in person...
What do you miss during the winter? Part 2
That sounds more exciting than some of the things I get into. I've never been arrested, although I called the police once and turned myself in for hitting a person on a bike! They couldn't arrest me cause there were no charges. Actually the person on the bike ran into me and then jumped back on his bike and sped off leaving me standing there beside my car wondering what happened. I had seen him on the road earlier and he had cuts and scrapes on his face and his clothes were all torn - obviously from a previous mishap!! At that time he was also speeding around on his bike and wasn't watching where he was going!! Weird! Do tell your story Amy!! Eleanor
Do you miss cleaning the fish too?!
No, but eating them I do.
Trout actually has very little scales to clean. I love the taste of it, so if cleaning means eating it..I will!
Ooo, yeah, fireworks
I was just thinking - that what I miss most during the Winter is . . . Spring, Summer, and Autumn!
Nice summery shot, WC! Bluefish maybe?
Mmmm, love trout. Haven't had it in ages.
Nice set up with the pole holders..and lawn/beach chair?
April 1st is open water fishing here, I usually have on boots, coat, and mittens...but im there!!!!!
Nice.
Pixie - do you flyfish much?
Love flyfishing - it's the only thing that makes me relax. My Dad is my fishing buddy, but he insists on catch & release. I like catch & eat, better.....
oooo, hungry for fresh Trout.
Very nice, Anita.
Katye, not good at Flyfishing..still learning. But if your good at it and love trout you should come to Maine. I know place where it is Flyfishing only and it's loaded with large trout!
Anita, the 1st picture...is that Honeysuckle??

Dry itchy skin? One of my pet peeves in the winter, where did my suntan glow go? I now have scales instead!!
Gotta use a humidifier! With my pellet stove, the air gets real dry so I definitely have to have one going all the time.
I am Too cheap. The electric bill will go up. DH is going to brick off the fireplace and put in a wood stove. Then I will be able to keep a kettle of water on it.
Speaking of cheap. It has been a month that I have ran the fireplace. We saved 50 bucks on the last propane fill up. This month I will get a better feeling as in Dec. I cooked so much it must of had a toal on the propane bill.
It must of had a toal on peoples stomachs too.
I am adding so you know where I come from. I don't mind giving people plants, seeds, whatever I have, time etc. I don't like making someone else rich using electricity, fuel etc.

Pixie - i miss the sun too - i like it a little too much.
But for the winter, tan towels work really well without streaking, and clinique makes a nice self-tanner that actually doesn't smell.
Anita... great photos... love the PM... what a ...get that thing out of my face look he is giving you
Nice pics Anita - that PM one is precious.
Victor, you mentioned your pellet stove - does that take rabbit pellets or hamster pellets?
You mean wabbit pellets or duck pellets!
do you save the shotgun pellets for special occasions?
Fourth of July, maybe?
or new year's eve.
...for the deer?
For the next wife?
for your current wife (to use when she reads that comment)?
Thanks . Celeste, that is Clematis.
