Spring RU

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I could do Sunday.

Mid-Cape, MA(Zone 7a)

I can do Sunday too--or Saturday, if that's what works out.
Either sounds great.

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

oh my goodness... can't even think of wearing socks to go to bed... those pj's look so warm that I would never wear one... actually I can't go to a pj party... my dog would hate to be without me...

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

We might be able to do Sunday, too. It's my birthday, though, that day, so we may need two cakes, Kassia! But, as it's on a Sunday, I'm not so sure if that would be one of the 'family Sunday dinner days' that we have planned.

A RU without Thom and Paul? Sheesh!! I could always tell my family that Anna would be out of town on that Sunday, so we'd plan no family dinner day ......

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Candyce, your the 29th of June? Im the 25th and Sherrie (schickenlady) is the 22nd!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I know.
We good gardeners were born at the same time!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

LOL, Thats one way to look at it!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

well, how about the good gardeners born in MAY!????

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I would have to check about Sunday.

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Thom, you would be able to come the sunday??? not too tired???? I don't want to change the date if we don't have too since so many other people are all set for saturday...

But I do want you and Paul to come...

Kershaw, SC(Zone 8b)

Honestly, if it were Sunday, that would not be an issue at all. I was just saying, if others have already committed to the Saturday date, then, please let it still be Saturday, I would not want to be even semi responsible for someone feeling "put out." If it were on Sunday, we would both be able to make it no problem.
Plus, it would give us a good excuse not to be in work on Monday!

lol

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Kassia - May birthday here too - I'm with you! June is for moons and spoons. ♫ ♫ Carrie

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

In my humble (very humble) opinion, all the good gardeners are born between the Solstices. How's that?

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

That's is a lovely humble opinion, Candyce. Could you be more specific? Do you mean between March 21ish and June 20ish, then no. But if you mean they are either born between Dec. 21 and June 20, or between June 21 and Dec. 20, then I emphatically agree with you. For instance, my grandmother, a gardener of great long range vision and accomplishment, was born Nov 15 190-. xx, Carrie

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

LOL!

I figured if I said 'between the solstices', that would just about cover it, Carrie!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Actually there are only winter and summer solstices. Spring and fall get 'equinox'.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Picky, picky, picky.

Did you get kittens yet?

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Good catch, AYC!

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Hey Candace, I got that one! very clever (all great gardeners are born between soltices - but not stating which comes first!)

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Whoo Hoo, Michaela!!
You rock!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

If it means I get to meet Thom and Paul, we'd try to make it on Sunday too.....I'm reserving both days on our calendar........whatever works best for everyone!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

my kind of people!!!! you guys are the best... both days are fine for me!!!!

ok, I have good news... now it is official.... I finally got a job as a NURSE... can you believe it????? I am so happy... this job is such a blessing to me.... my dream job : 3-11!!! I am going to do both jobs for awhile, but them I will be able to garden every day in the morning... oh I am dreaming with that!!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Kassia, Im so happy for you! Congrats!! You deserve it!!!!!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Candyce, You covered almost everyone. Do we have any folks born ON the solstices? (you are quite the diplomat!)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Fantastic, Kass!

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Brillliant! Now you have the best of both worlds - daytime to garden and employment in a career of your choice!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Yeah, Kassia! ♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫♫ ♫ ♫! BTW, Sturday OR Sunday is OK with me and mine.
xx, Carrie

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

KASSIA - why not start a thread for people to vote on the day? All we'll have to do is type the word "Saturday", "Sunday", or "Either". Then you could make a list.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Fantastic about the job, Kassia!! Whooohooo! This is just great......really a great schedule for a gardener!!! Congratulations!!! You so deserve it!!

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Warning, Kassia, TWO jobs usually tires you out so much you don't have time for gardening; did you say you were going to work BOTH jobs? Why don't you start a new thread about whether people can come on Sunday, and are you Dmailing everyone in the NE region? My first RU ever I got a mail from Debiz inviting me. I guess it is still MONTHS away, LOL !!!! xxx, Carrie

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks everyone!!!! I am excited about the new job! for a few weeks I will have to do both jobs... and I need money for all the gardening projects for next year!!! no kidding!

I will start the thread!!!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Congratulations Kassia on your new job. I hope it is exactly what you want it to be and sounds great for gardening as you say. How long for doing both jobs? Pace yourself so you don't get too pooped to work at the best job, the garden. I wish I could go to the RU but the situation here prevents it, maybe someday. I do look forward to all the pics and stories from everybody. :)

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

I can come on either Saturday or Sunday :-)

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Way to go, Kassia!

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

CONGRATULATIONS!!! A new job well deserved!
