Michaela, you're not exactly Western Mass, you're more central. I say that meaning, it wouldn't be so much farther for me or Primrose, but it might be a LOT closer for deb and the really Northern folks (Louise?). I'm not sure what I mean. Kassia would go to your house. Boojum might go and the Berkshire type people might go.

Spring RU
Well, I don't want to steal Kassia's thunder. I am simply offering as an option. :-)
I'd love to come - and I should be around this time. Should I start propagating plants? Better start up the second mat.
Michaela, you are not stealing anything from me... don't worry. I want to get together and see you guys... there will never be a lack of a meeting place... my house is open to you guys!!!! whatever is the easier for everyone is good for me!
I do mean the Dave from TX - last year I scheduled that day because he was going to be around here and since I met him in San Diego and he is so nice I just wanted everyone else to have a chance to meet him too...
I d-mailed him and he told me that he has to come to Boston anyway but at the moment he does not have a set date yet!
OUR DAVE47 is coming... even if I have to give him a drive!!!!! maybe we can even get to meet Mrs Dave47??!!!!
Oh I will not miss meeting everyone...
Kassia - you are very generous in inviting us to your house AND to see your lovely rose garden in person! I think it will be such fun to meet everyone wherever we go.
At some point, I will offer my scruffy gardens as a possible locale - but not this spring, because our house will be torn apart to replace some sills, and even I don't want to be there!! LOL If I've picked up anything from being part of this community in the NE Forum, it is that this group is not expecting anyone's gardens to be perfect. It's more about getting together and enjoying the company along with the garden setting, and that's a good thing, in my case! If you had come to my place last year, you would have seen some beautiful gallant soldier weeds.......they were my best crop! Of course, SW NH may be out of the way for most people.
oh the joy of fixing things in the house... I am telling you I would be sad if I had to fix the house instead of a garden!
like I said, it's a pleasure to have you guys over... my family loved it... and my nephew Victor was asking me if I was going to do the roses birthday again... lol...
Yeah, Kass - if I had to wait until my house or gardens were perfect, I'd never have anyone over and would miss out on a lot of fun!! Life's too short!
Kassia, I will definitely come to your house for an RU! Does living 20 minutes away have anything to do with it, I wonder?
(Sternly) were you there last time?? x, Carrie (who winter sows in 2 oz. containers)
Roses Birthday Party - how cute is that?
speaking of b-day!!!!My cute and spoiled Lilly just turned 10... oh well I had to get a cake... so we sang Happy B-day with a Friendlys Reeses Peanut Butter cake... she had turkey breast as a treat!!!!!
Happy Birthday, Lucky Lilly! :)
Luck be a Lilly tonight!
Carrie, no I wasn't! (laughing hysterically because I don't winter-sow in 2-oz. pots!)
is lily a four legged or two legged creature?
Ok, well, looks like Paul and I will be heading on a garden road trip again!!! I wonder if I'm gonna win the prize again?
This time, Paul and I will definitely make a better plan...sightseeing, spend a day or two type of a thing...would really like to see everyone again!!!
Hopefully I will be able to come this year.
I sure hope you will do!!!!
hurry Spring!
Oh yes... today with this clear and sunny sky makes me want it even more!
It's so beautiful! Sunny and 38 with no breeze at all. Just gorgeous.
36 and sunny, went for a long walk and washed the salt off the car. Nice day.
I'm so glad you all are having a pretty day!!!
Yes, it's good for the soul!
I thought you wrote "it's good for the soil!"
x, C
Who knows, it could be!
So have we resolved a time, date, place yet?
Also wondering the same thing. xx, Carrie
maybe I'll have a laptop with a built-in cam by then... I can attend virtually if anybody else has one. this is the only time I wish I lived downstate.
Should I suggest a date???
Robs Violet barn!!!
Please, please, please, please!!!
:)))
Yep, what date did you have in mind, Kassia?
Lee Anne, where is Robb's Violet barn? x, Carrie
um...
(just a sec.)
Canandaigua Lake
It's like a 4 or 5 hour drive for me, which isn't too bad. It's also probably nowhere near anybody else though...LOL
Where the heck is Canadaigua Lake? Lee Anne, are you anywhere near an airport? x, C
LOL
Fly over the border to NY? Would be maybe a 20 minute flight wouldn't it?
Do they do that?
Sorry no Canada!
