Well, I'm back!!! DH and I went to Conway to get our blood drawn today. Mine was too thin--a first for me--and his was too thick--his is usually on the thin side. I guess we have flip-flopped!! LOL Now I have to cut back on the blood thinner and he has to increase his a little bit. This is the first time in a LONG time that I have had to change my dosage--it usually stays about the same. DH, on the other hand, has to change his dosage quite frequently. For some reason he can't sem to keep his the same for any length of time. His back was much better, which is good news.
Hope your son's pain didn't get worse as the day progressed, Tammy. He sure wouldn't want to miss seeing his girlfriend tonight! LOL I haven't had any trouble with my posts or even part of them disappearing, Tammy. The only time that
happens to me is when I scroll back up the thread to look at a photo. If I enlarge the photo, my post will disappear so I have started copying my post and then re-paste it after I look at the photo or whatever it was.
That accident with the deer which my friend emailed me was really something. I have never seen photos like the ones she sent. The couple in the truck were extremely fortunate but that truck was a mess, not to mention the poor deer!!
Celia, I am SO GLAD the flyswatter marks are disappearing. I wouldn't want you to turn me in for "child abuse". LOL
Terry, hope you are feeling better this afternoon. Go to bed early tonight!!!. . .and that's an order from Dr. Mau!!
Hi, Janis! Hi, Marie! Hi, Marcy! Hope all is well with you all, too.
Marcy, I know we talked on dmail but I didn't want to ignore you here. Hope you and Dave enjoy that crock pot dinner tonight.
Well, I have had a busy day and I am tired. I'll check back in before I go to bed.
Everyone have a good evening!

For those of you who don't know about the deer accident my friend told me about, I am posting the same photo here that I posted over on the ORVG thread. It's pretty graphic so be forewarned. This is the description of the wreck which my friend sent me:
"They were traveling in southern Arkansas, between Mena and DeQueen. Oncoming car clipped a deer and sent it straight up into the air. The deer came down head-first into Clayton's brand new truck. The deer's head went thru the front windshield, cutting the head (plus some) off, and landed in Jill's lap. The body of the deer flipped up, smashed in the top of the truck, and landed in the bed. Clayton couldn't see Jill from his side, because the top of the truck was smashed in so horribly.
He got out of the truck, went around, and opened the door on her side...only to start flipping out, because she was literally drenched in blood. However, neither one of them was hurt. Her parents were following in a separate vehicle and didn't see it happen...but drove up on it right afterward. I can't imagine what they were thinking!"

Stop and visit, talk all you want. pt 10
Marilyn, I would like to see the other photos on that accident too. You can dmail them to me if you want.
I hope you get that blood thinner straightened out! I am lucky..in the fact...that I only have to take BP meds...2 of them. They seem to work ok.
My BIL just found out he has diabetes. I guess now they will have to watch what they eat, and my SIL isn't any too happy about that! She likes to eat out...a lot!! I think she is going to be doing a LOT more cooking at home...lol.
Mau, that anti-freeze IV drip must of been a little too much for you and not enough for Pau, huh? LOL Scary about that accident, reminds me of a lady up here that crested a hill in the road and ran into a deer. The deer flipped over her hood, head into the windshield, body on the top of the car. I've hit 2 myself. I bumped 5 in the middle of the road. Thank goodness for good brakes and quick reflex!
It looks like 1-3" of snow for us, it hasn't started yet. Yippee.
I still feel like dog doo and don't do much of anything in a day. Thanks everyone for the well wishes, now to just get some strength back.
My husband got off work early, so I'm going to go join him in the living room.
Hey Mau, Pau met me, he still has that same thinking about us on here? Tell him I'm deeply saddened ;( LOL
After meeting you, Terry--he thinks everybody on DG must be a little bit whacky!!! ROTFLOL
(Don't tell him I said so, but that makes him fit in just fine with the rest of us)
Ha Ha Ha
That's right about the anti-freeze. There wasn't enough "anti" in it for me--I can't seem to get warm. I've been instructed to skip my blood thinner the next two nights which I will gladly do. Marcy, the reason we are on blood thinners is because Buddy has a mechanical heart valve and he has to take it as a precautionary thing to keep the blood from forming a clot around that valve. Although I did have my heart valve repaired, (not a mechanical valve) I don't know why I have to take the stuff except that our cardiologist puts all his patients over a certain age on it---Talk about making one feel old. :o(( That's almost as bad as some young person at a fast food restaurant giving you a senior discount without you asking for it! LOLOL
BTW Marcy, I 'll send you those other photos tomorrow. I'm heading off to bed now.
Good night all.
-Mau
Hi all! I am pooped after cleaning all day, and cleaning out cabinets. We didn't even get the cabinets down because there was WAY more items in there than we ever imagined that needed to be wrapped and packed in boxes!
Brandon seems to be better tonight, just still tired and in a bit of pain. Thanks for all the continued thoughts and prayers!
Mau, other people was having trouble with their posts in the "Happy Room", too. So I don't know what the problem was?
Speaking of, I know I have a stalker here, so please let me know if you see me make a spelling mistake! LOL (Hi Beckie!) HE HE HE
Hope everyone is feeling better and will be back to themselves soon!
HUGS
Tammy
so please let me know if you see me make a spelling mistake!
Mau, other people was having trouble with their posts in the "Happy Room", too. So I don't know what the problem was?
The above quote should say Mau, other people were having trouble with their posts in the "Happy Room", too. So I don't know what the problem was?
I stayed up later than you healthy people. Mau? Are you coming to get me with your flyswatter?
LOL Terry! We are not in to grammar, thank GOODNESS! LOL
Saying goodnight to everyone. I had a not-so-good day at work. Just busy, nothing more than that. Not feeling very well, either.
So...goodnight!
Celia, sorry I missed you last night and I sure do hope you are feeling better!
Good morning everyone!
Tammy
Good morning all!! Celia I hope you have a better day today.
Hey Marie! :)
Tammy.....in to=into......good morning to all of you!
from your friendly stalker, Beckie
Hey Beckie! Did you read my other post about you here? HE HE HE
Yes I did Tammy. Was very happy to see you were thinking of me!!
HE HE HE HE HE
Good morning, everyone!
15º and cloudy. Supposed to get more snow today but only a little bit.
Feeling much better today. All I needed was some sleep, I think. Have my cup of Joe and ready for the day.
How is everyone?
You "Happy Room" girls are crazy! LOL IMHO, you all should count grammar, too. I am a stickler for good grammar so that would be the first thing for which I would deduct points. (Notice I didn't say "which I would deduct points for"--that would be ending a sentence with a preposition which is a no-no.) I had two English teachers that really emphasized good grammar, good vocabulary and good spelling. I thank them for it now. Of course, nobody asked me when they were making up the rules for your Princess game, did they? LOL Tammy you can count on Terry and me to correct you.(Yes, that is correct) Just think, with us on your side you have a really good chance of winning! (Did you hear that. Beckie? LOL BTW, as long as you are lurking about, you might as well join the craziness on this thread, too.)
Since I am not in the contest, I can shorten my sentences: such as:
Glad you found us again, Marie--wondering where you have been. That's a gorgeous narcissus photo.
Sorry you had a not-so-good day at work, Celia. You are probably just getting back into the swing of things again after being off for a week. Hope you are feeling better soon.
You bet I'm coming after you with my flyswatter, Terry! You just won't mind me when it comes to going to bed early!
Marcy, I am going to go and send you those deer wreck photos now.
Hi, Janis. Thinking about you. Hope the wrist is all better soon.
Be back later.
Hi, Celia. We cross-posted. We seem to do that a lot. Glad you are feeling better.
Just me again, here to invite you all to a new Round Robin....and to see if Tammy has slipped yet.....
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/805034/
My mom is always correcting people. I think it's funny when she tells the kid in the grocery store who has just said, "I don't like these ones", that it's, "I don't like THESE! Not 'these ones' ". (Oh, where to put the punctuation! Alas, I'm not sure!)
I just love it when I cross-post with someone. It makes the whole "reading for content" a lot of fun out of which to figure.
You are too funny! LOL
Thanks, I try.
Sorry Tammy, my bad. I was thinking grammar, when you did say spelling. My mind is in a fog, so please forgive me. I guess one could say I think grammar should count also. The biggest goof I see people make is typing "alot". There is no such word. Allot is a word, but what you mean is actually a lot. 2 words.
Celia is it you that has boxes from May of '05 when you moved in? Or was that Janis?
No, that's me!
Okay, Terry, you have aroused my curiosity! Why did you want to know who had boxes still packed from 2005?
She's checking up on ME now! LOL
We'll have to see to it that she gets well real soon. Then she will have to get back to her sanding, painting and polying and have less time to check up on us! LOL
I agree!
But where did she go? Maybe she's still not feeling well.
I forgot to complain about the cold so I wouldn't want you all to get by without my daily whining. It is only 38º on my back porch right now and it is NOON already!! The Siberian Express has made its way down here! :o(((
We cross-posted again. Terry gets tired easily so she checks up on us and then goes to rest. She'll be back later.
That is too cold for me Dr. Mau. I was whining cause it was that when I wole up this morning!!
It's too cold for me, too, Marie. I like it when the temps are somewhere between 75 and 85. LOL
Those are my kind of temps too.
Mine, too. I live in the wrong place. It's only 18º now.
When does your boss come back, Marie?
He is already here :o(
Well, I'm off to put on more socks and make something warm to drink. Why aren't you whining, Celia, at the 18º temp?
I'm not whining because it's a toasty 70º inside! LOL
