T.J. I hope your roof wasn't damaged too much. Thank God for insurance.
Except in our case it is 10% of the house value deductible. Same as no insurance.
Christi

Yes, I am meeting several people this time that I know only by ID. I missed several of the other RUs due to back surgeries, and last week vacation in WA. So I am really looking forward to tomorrow.
Is the park east or west of 287?
the map I printed out sows it to be south of 287 on south Grand ave.

We just got home from Waxahachi and we are very tired, but we had a super fun time, the people were wonderful and the food was great. We will post pictures tomorrow.
T.J. you are the host with the most. Thank you very much.
Josephine.
Wonderful but very tiring day!! It was a great spot to have the swap. The houses that we toured were so worth the stops. After the great Nursery and getting everyone to leave we went to T.J.s homestead. No close neighbors, out in the wide open spaces. Very nice landscaping! I have to give my compliments to Mike, Christi's DH that did a wonderful job with the brisket, and T.J.'s wife Ashley for putting up with us invading her home. Have some pics also, but tomorrow is another day.
I had a great time! Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this such a nice event.
To all the wonderful people I met today, thank you so much..for the great plants, food and company! Tj did an awesome job ,you are a great host!
You are a great bunch, made me feel so welcome, and I throughly enjoyed it all enjoyed it all.Wished I could have stayed longer, not back to 100% yet.

SUPER TIME!!!!!
TJ, Ashley, Lovely home and family ya have there and THANK YOU so much for letting us invade it yesterday.
Ashley Thank you for letting TJ get out of his Saturday's chores to spend the time with us taking us to some great looking homes and flowers and the nursery.
Thanks to everyone that came for plants, food, tour and afterglow it was great to see all of you and spend time getting to know everyone better.
DH enjoyed it too so it made for a wonderful day....now to just figure out where to plant everything.
the thing i most enjoyed about yesterday is that we finally got to sit down and talk and laugh with each other. and because of it i like yall a whole lot more today than i ever have before. heehee
hello esp. to miss jordan.
I always liked all of you. Visiting with a person and fleshing them out from just a screen name is best of all. You were already my garden family and now that I know you, I understand that should I need a heart transplant you would all be fighting to be the first to give yours. hahahaha Just a metaphor that you have already given your heart to me in your gift of your time and friendship.
TJ, Ashley and the babies are a model family. Randy has still not stirred and I am just now getting that first cup of coffee. As most of you do everyday also, must go do the "morning ritual of admiring the plants".
Later,
Christi
What? wait a sec I thought y'all were comin here for the first cup of coffee to help me figure out where I am planting everything ...ROFLMAO and no there is no pie here it was all left at Bronc's and I know Ashley has hid it by now LOL

wait a sec you got money and all I got was trees???? and no autograph either..oh but wait we are making a blockbuster movie so I guess that evens it out ROFLMAO
I had a great time y'all! Thanks for everything, y'all are a great group! I wish I could have stayed for the tour and all but I was so excited about trading plants that I didn't sleep much the night before. So we went home early. I hate it when I do that! Oh well. I can't wait to see the photos!
Wish you could have stayed and come along too but there will be other times to come. We just have to get you to relax and go to bed and sleep before hand LOL
SUPER TIME! SUPER PEOPLE! AND A SUPER HOST!!! The Co-hosts was awsome too. Jorden was so entertaining lol ... and Ashely is just a sweetheart! Even the dog was a sweetie
I cant find where I downloaded my pictures :(
It was a GREAT day -- y'all, thanks for letting me share it with you. TJ, you did an outstanding job. I know what it's like to host events like this (it sure ain't easy), and you pulled it off without a hitch. I loved the house tour (especially the last house) and the nursery, and most especially -- Mike's BBQ! Thanks Mike!
Until next year, huh TJ! ha ha!! :-)
Carla
Sylvia, you took more than two photos, didn't you! lol
I am sure she did!
But Sylvia.... this thread is very long, please add them to this one started by Mibus for pic at WAX.

Ah ya beat me to it I was just coming over to post the link ...thanks
I must add my thoughts concerning our host and hostess. TJ, you did a fantastic job; I believe all of thoroughly enjoyed ourselves all day and evening long. Ashley was so brave for inviting such a horde to her lovely home. TJ and Ashley, I have to say that you have a house that most young couple would be envious of, and the grounds are so beautiful, and you children are gorgeous. Thank you so very much.
Along those lines... I was too tired to write much Saturday night, but there's more that I want to say. I REALLY enjoyed the time with all of you Saturday. I appreciate so much the thought and care that went into this RU. We all had time to visit, and it was just really great to get to do that.
Also, you know, I was walking around my yard today, and just thinking how much fun DG is. I've been landscaping for the last few years, and I've gotten a lot of things from folks on here. I hope that everyone else loves that as much as I do! I walk around my yard with my dh, and I say, there's the cenna from Lee, and the beautyberry from Phyllis. There's the hosta from Sylvia, and the yarrow from Barb, and the mexican mint marigold from sweezel... The oxeye daisy from Carla, the sumac from Mitch, the liatris from Pat, the frostweed from Josephine... The butterfly ginger and all the pond plants from Sheila.... .
And the amazing thing is, that list is just the beginning! I haven't named everyone. But believe me, I enjoy every plant in my yard, and I know where every single one came from. When I walk around and look at all of it, I think of the person who gave it to me. .It means so much more when I look at it and remember the DG friend it came from. Thanks!
I feel the same way Pattie, it is like a walk down memory lane, it means so much more than buying something from a nursery, and those connections last a life time. It is a good thing we are doing.
