Where dad is staying now...
This is Willamette National Cemetery.
stop and visit, talk all you want pt 9
Celia, you have a nice looking family, and the urn you picked out is just beautiful!
I remembered I still had a whole can of cranberry sauce in the fridge from Christmas, so I had it with some bread. YUMMMMMMMMY! LOL I eat applesauce with bread, too! :)
That camera takes awesome pics!
I was having loads of fun with it. And yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We call those Dusty Miller around here! HA HA HA
Good! And I figured I would get a yuck out of you on that one! LOL
WOW that is amazing! We the ex and I went to Florida I tried to take moving pics with a camera that paid quite a lot for there since we had forgotten ours at home and the pics were awful!
Do you have a wall big enough? LOL
I really hate to do this, but I took some meds a while ago that are knocking me out! I wish I had waited to I could stick around with you, but I just can't take it anymore. :( I am so glad you are back and you seem to be doing well! Now I can ease up just a wee bit on the hugs, but they are still coming!
XOXOXOXOXO
Tammy
Been meaning to tell you that there are some of you that get by with calling me Tam! LOL I only recall two people I ever let that by with, till here! LOL
Lotsa love coming your way, too! Nighty Night! It will take you all night to try and catch up on here anyway! LOL
Nighty Night! :)
Gosh! I feel special! Thanks again! LOL
Hey, Celia! Welcome back--we've missed you. Your Dad's urn is beautiful and so is the cemetery. All your photos above are great--nice family. Justin surely does look like Scott--wonder why? LOL Those close-ups you took are great, too. We call that plant a Dusty Miller down here as well. That restaurant, Rockin Rogers, looks like a fun place to eat. That Orange Crush sign behind your SIL caught my attention--brings back memories. I don't think they make Orange Crush any longer--at least I haven't seen one in ages!!
Sounds like you had quite a day yesterday, Marcy. I have a candy dish very similar to the one in your photo except the handle on mine isn't as tall as the one on your dish.
Well, I need to go get ready for church. Talk to y'all later.
Hugs and kisses to all. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Mau
Good morning, everyone!
30º and snowing. About 2 inches right now and more falling.
Whomever it was that sent the link to the picture of the dog...? I have spent the last 30 minutes looking and I can't see a dog!!! LOL
Love the glass dishes, Marcy. Reminds me of some my grandmother had.
Thanks, Mau. It really feels good to be home. (And we call them dusty miller here, too. I should have said...'close-up, Mr. De Miller.) LOL
Hi everyone! Celia....so glad you are back home! I too, think the urn is beautiful...as well as the cemetery. Your family looks great too! Love your SIL's gardens too! What kind of camera did you get?? It takes great pics!
Marilyn, I had such a good day yesterday, that I was exhausted last night! I went to bed EARLY...I was so worn out. Trying to get off meds, and all that exercise at the same time, was NOT a good thing!! But I slept all night, without waking once...so I feel much better today. Still trying to figure out a place for the dishes! I should be selling dishes instead of buying more!!! LOL!!
Tammy, I wish I could eat stuff like that at night...lol. My poor ole stomach can't handle it! Sounded good though!
Janis....how are you doing???
Terry.....I know you aren't at home, till your floors dry. I hope to see you on here SOON!!! Big hugssss!
Marie...you must be busy too?????
Whomever else I didn't mention....it's only because I am brain dead!! I hope everyone has a great day!!!
Adding the words to this song. Annie Lennox's "Into the West".
"Lay down
Your sweet and weary head
Night is falling
You’ve come to journey's end
Sleep now
And dream of the ones who came before
They are calling
From across the distant shore
Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon you will see
All of your fears will pass away
Safe in my arms
You're only sleeping
What can you see
On the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea
A pale moon rises
The ships have come to carry you home
And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
All souls pass
Hope fades
Into the world of night
Through shadows falling
Out of memory and time
Don't say: «We have come now to the end»
White shores are calling
You and I will meet again
And you'll be here in my arms
Just sleeping
And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
Grey ships pass
Into the West"
Hi, everyone! I'm here, Celia. LOL Your SIL has a pretty yard. I guess it is your brother's yard, too. LOL
Isis and Monty are both very pretty cats. BTW, that's a pretty song.
I talked to Janis about an hour ago. We talked for about 45 minutes. Celia, in case you didn't know it, Janis broke her wrist and it takes her a long time to type out anything on the keyboard. She said she is reading the posts but not trying to post anything herself. She went to her doctor about the wrist a couple of days ago but she didn't take her xrays so they made her another appointment for the 22nd and told her to be sure and bring her xrays. Also, Zoe, the little baby she has told us about, had another hearing test this past week and failed it so they have an appointment with a hearing specialist but I forgot when she said that will be. Also, Zoe's doctor finally decided there was something really wrong with Zoe's back and has made an appointment for her with another specialist somewhere in W.Virginia--can't remember the name of the town but it is about 2-21/2 hours from where they live. Janis has to go pick out her bridesmaid's dress soon for Zoe's mom's wedding. They have to get the dresses ordered because supposedly it will take 6 months to get the bride's dress in and they want to order them all at the same time. Also, Janis will have to wear flip-flops but they have 2 inch heels. Janis is not happy about that because she is 6 feet tall as it is and these heels will make her 6'2". She said she told Zoe's mom (I can't remember her name--I think it is Jess) that the groom needed to pick one of his tall friends to escort her because she doesn't want to have to walk back down the aisle with a short guy!! LOL
Also, Janis said the painters got her kitchen painted yesterday and put the second coat on today. It is a light green and Janis said it turned out really nice. They are also in the process of having the girl's rooms painted. They are pretty much doing a whole-house remodel. The next thing in the kitchen is putting down a new floor.
I told her to be sure and take pictures and post them when the remodeling is finished.
Janis, if you are "out there", I just want you to know that I enjoyed getting better acquainted with you over the phone.
I also talked to Terry on the phone last night. The floors are finished and the furniture is moved back into the guest bedroom. However, they are having a hard time finding stuff--curtains, screws for the cabinet doors, etc. I told her that all the "stuff" would turn up--just to keep looking for it. Her DH found a missing curtain rod while Terry and I were talking on the phone. :o))
Marcy, glad you got a good night's sleep last night. Searching those flea markets is hard work!! LOL
Don't know where everyone else is. Tammy will, no doubt, be checking in later.
Sun is shining here today. Current temp is about 46ºF.
Guess I've told y'all about all I know for now.
Later. . .
Mau
Thanks, Mau. I did know about Janis' wrist but I forgot. She's got a lot going.
The sun is shining here, too, in more ways than one, if you know what I mean. DH and I are going to have some food and I'll be back later.
BYE!!!
Yes, Mau, here I am! Now, how am I suppose to take that comment?! HA HA HA
Celia, you are just having way too much fun with that camera, but I love yours pics! :)
Mau, that was so sweet of you to let all of us know about Janis, and she and everyone else that you mentioned will be in my thoughts and prayers! I hope Terry is able to find all the things she is looking for so she can finish her house!
Hi to EVERYONE because I know I would forget someone!
HUGS to ALL! Tammy
I forgot someone. That's why I edtied it! LOL I still forgot some people except the frequent repliers.
CYB dear! LOL Oh, can't do any puppy pics till we see if we can fix the other pooter!
Oh yeah. I forgot you were using the "dinosaur".
BOOOOO BOOOOOOO for me! LOL Did you catch the part about my oldest son and his hand?
Yes! Glad it's not broken.
Oh no, it is. He has to have surgery on Tuesday. :(
Ok took me forever to catch up!!
Celia I am so glad you are back with us!! You SIL's yard is beautiful and please seem if you can obtain some spring pictures!! Love your dad's urn. I also like the looks of the cemetary but then again I am a little strange.
If you all talk to Jans again please tell her Hi for me and I am sending hugs her way.
Dr. Mau I sure did need you earlier. My daughter got bit by her hamster and I could not get it to stop bleeding!! She is better now though.
Oh Marie, that poor baby! Glad it stopped bleeding!
