Marcy I sure wish I could borrow your son for our computers! LOL
stop and visit, talk all you want pt 9
Hi, everybody! Hope you are all having a good day up to now. The sun is shining here and it is 54º on my back porch. :o))
Good to hear from you, Celia, and we'll look forward to you being back "home" again--in Utah and here, too.
Janis, it is always a good idea to get a second opinion--I'm glad you are gong to do just that. Sorry about the pain--I can't/don't take pain killers as they always make me loopy, too. I have a high pain threshold, thank goodness, so Tylenol usually does the trick for me, even after surgery.
Terry, you are a virtual gold mine of information, re: the soapy water. I'm putting the coffee grounds and coffee filters in our lasagna beds. By spring, I'm hoping the worms will have done whatever they do to coffee grounds. Hopefully, the plants will love the result once I get those beds planted out. :o)) Send us some pictures of those floors, please.
Marcy, this is Friday--your regular shopping day. How time flies! It seems that you just went to the grocery store and it's already been a week. LOL I did my grocery shopping yesterday--got that over with for a few days.
Be back in a minute. I have a link I want to post for y'all.
Someone over on the weather forum posted this link. It is hilarious but be sure to give yourself plenty of time to read it and start at the top and work your way down. Do look at all the pictures. It took me about 30minutes to get through just a portion of it--I haven't finished it yet but I did get some belly laughs from it, already. :o))

Sure is quiet around here. . .
I'm here, just trying to keep my eyes open! LOL
Hey, Tammy! glad somebody is here--everyone else seems to have taken off for parts unknown. LOL I'm going to have to go get something to eat in just a minute. DH went up to check on his mother so he won't be home for at least another hour. I may just heat up some tomato soup. How is your son doing with his wrist?
OOPS, and here I ran off on you! Shame on me! Here comes that darned old fly swatter again, I feel it already! LOL I made a huge pot of home made hamburger helper for supper! And none of it came from a box, well, the velveeta did! LOL
He is off with his girlfriend, so I suppose he is ok! She comes first you know! LOL All he is worried about is not being able to eat for so long, but he won't starve.
Ha! Typical teen-age boy! LOL always hungry and always in love!!!
Home-made hamburger helper sounds good but not the other kind. My DH won't eat that stuff. Well, I have had my cup of tomato soup and now I'm off to watch a little TV before DH gets home. Have a good evening, Tammy, and any of the rest of you who happen to check in. I'll talk to y'all tomorrow.
NEVER out of a box in this house! LOL
Enjoy your television, Mau!
Did everyone go in to hibernation? :)
It certainly seems like it, Tammy! LOL Terry is at her parents' house waiting for her floors to dry, etc. so she may not be back with us for a day or two. Celia should be back home today, shouldn't she? Hopefully she will check in with us soon. I have seen Marcy posting on another thread, so I know she is lurking somewhere out there. Marcy, are you with us? Marie may be busy with her grandbaby or other family matters. I just don't know. and Janis has that broken wrist, so it looks as if it is just you and me right now. LOL
Well here it is Saturday with nothing else to do! LOL I have seen Marie in another thread, but it has been a while. Celia is suppose to be home, but I don't think she said when? Not seen Marcy, unless I missed her in the tropical forum somewhere! LOL Now poor Janis, I sure do feel for her and her wrist! I allowed Brandon to remove his splint/soft cast, this morning so he could take a decent shower. He used all the hot water, but that was ok! :) Maybe I should see if I can get you into a little trouble since Celia is away! HA HA HA
Now, don't go trying to lead me astray! LOL
Oh but I am feeling like a little demon! HA HA HA
uh,oh,--I will have to get my flyswatter off the fridge!
NO NO NO not the flyswatter again!
Well here I am! I might have posted once this morning, but I have been gone all day since!
We got up early and went to the flea market in the next county over. They have it once a month. Our BIL and SIL were with us. Then we went out for lunch. I had a baked potato, and went to put the butter on it out of one of those little packets, and it was melted and squirted all over my jeans! So I had a big grease spot on my leg!
Then we came home; I changed jeans, and we went to another flea market way north of us! It has 3 bldgs. I tell you, I was so tired after the first one this morning, I could hardly walk. I have been trying to do without my pain meds, and then all that walking! I fell asleep in the car on the way to the other flea market!! Of course, all this after I didn't sleep much last night too! I am a glutton for punishment!!
Then we ate at the Pullman Bay restaurant on Lake St. Mary's. A neat little restaurant that sits on the lake. I just had a bowl of soup and a sandwich, and couldn't even eat all that! Think I was too tired to eat! All in all, it was a good day though.
Well at least you were out having fun while we were sitting here wondering! HA HA HA
WELL, what did you buy? :)
Hmmm...I didn't buy anything! But DH bought me three pretty dishes.! One is a serving bowl, clear glass,hmmm...trying to think of the name of it..oh well...some kind of depression glass. One other is a candy dish...also clear glass, very pretty. It has a lid.
Well heck...let me go take a picture of them all...duh! brb
TAPPING WAITING! HA HA HA
Ok..back...had to upload some pics already in my camera first...lol. Then had to find something dark to set the dishes on so they would show up! Used my jacket!!
The serving type dish is depression glass, moon drops pattern. The taller dish, used for whatever? is pansy star medallion pattern. And the candy dish is double star or buzz saw by Cambridge glass co. Now mind you, I know very little about glassware, just writing what she had on it...lol.
I told hubby I didn't need any of these, but he saw I liked them, and got them for me!
Now to find a place to put them!!
Well they are beautiful! You have a sweet hubby! I could see a small plant that likes moisture in the one in the back of the picture! :) A little bit of aquarium gravel in it to keep it from touching the bottom too much, and it would look pretty! :)
Thanks Tammy! Actually, they look much more clear in person than in that pic. They look kind of yellowed there...don't know why!
I have a few seeds, can't remember which ones, for flowers that like to be moist at all times! See, I could make good use of that one! LOL
LOL! Well my SIL actually suggested that I use it for a vase.
Anyway....thanks. I think I will now go sit in front of the boob tube for a while. I am sooo tired!
You all have fun on here.!! Night night!
Thanks, Marcy, you too! I have to behave because no one is here! LOL NIGHT!
(pssst, hey, Tammy?)
Hey Girlfriend!
Didja miss me? LOL
Yes Missy, I sure did!
I have been staying out of trouble ya know! It has been AWFUL! LOL
And where are you, Missy? :)
Guess where I ran off to just now! LOL
I am home, home, home!!!
Where were you?
I was off to the kitchen! HA HA HA
It is so good to have you home, too!
