Wow - are there any IE users here who are familiar with the settings for handling links??
Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - do over?
Or vice versa, Al!

I can get all my Favorite links but not links on threads.
I was having problems with IE on Andy's site. It would lock up and I would get a line stack 0 error, I switched to Firefox. Last resort if you don't figure it out could be a system restore.
I'm hesitant to even ask about a "system restore". I'll see how it is in the morning.
I would google to try to find something. Try 'IE links not working' or some variation. What were you doing when it stopped working?
It's not that bad - just a mini time machine.
I do get a problem now or then that is solved by rebooting.
Victor: I promise you I'm not teasing - I was trying to click on a link when it just didn't work.
I would reboot but it's too close to bedtime anyhow, though I am very curious.
I believe you!
Rebooting didn't work. Now I'll try IE and Victor's idea.
Pirl, I have Comcast and they just switched from links opening right up to just a tiny header popping up which i NEED TO MAXIMIZE. aNY CHANCE YOU'RE MISSING that? (oops...cap lock error)
I have no idea why this has changed on my computer & I don't like it.
The computer has a sense of humor that Victor would enjoy. I found several entries for IE links not working and one actually gave a link to MS...didn't work.
I'll keep on trying.
Dave - we cross posted. There are probably a few things that have to be maximized about me but I haven't seen that glitch yet. Thanks for trying.
All those numbers posted up above sound like blood pressure issues !
You all have no clue how lost I am in all of this!
All you guys need to do, to fix these pc problems is find a 10 year old to do it.

JD - my blood pressure went up just thinking about it.
The 10 year old is a superb solution.
Get another as a backup, and promise them ice cream.
Thanks, I'll try that. The overnight rest did nothing to help me get links.
I was everyone a day of enlightenment re: the link situation.
Its snowing in Alabama!
What!? You got some white stuff?? How do you all handle driving in it? My brother moved to Baltimore MD and the first bad snowstorm he stayed home. I asked him if he had forgotten how to drive in the snow. He said "No, people here never learned how to in the first place!"
Score! It ended up being the pop-up blocker. Once I clicked to allow pop-ups temporarily the links worked!
Thanks for all your help!
Yeah Pirl!
There is a certain sense of satisfaction in just not giving up. I do appreciate all the help.
Everythings covered in snow and its still coming down. there is now much accumulation on the roads though, but there isn't much traffic either.
Magnolia Grandifloras frosted with snow. A rare sight to see.
Great news Pirl, but why the sudden change?? Did you recently upgrade to a new version of IE? Anyway, congrats!
I think pirl switched to de-caf....and everything became much easier after that !!!
Pop-up blocker always sounded like birth control to me.
heehee
hahahahahahahaha
Pirl is just one smart cookie! That's all there is to it.
Its still snowing!
Oh it involved the cookie settings too?!
Yes, your cookies should never be near the keyboard. Keep them on the little plate like your mother taught you.
Oh. Oh.
Famous last words before the shuttle blew up.
What I do with my cookies is kind of personal.
Is this National Naughty Morning?
No, not my cookies, it was the pop-up (non birth control) blocker and I don't know why it happened but it's fixed. I've gone from 1/3 caffeine to less potent, JD. High test for spring clean up!
Then please don't go in to detail about all your tarts, Victor !

I have a pop-tart blocker for that.
Glad your "t" is in good working order. Could have been an "f".
Now that's funny!
He could have been a star in Blazing Saddles if he worked it right!
But it would have been pop-farf!
I just knew you'd do that, Victor!!!
