Yes, I wish I hadn't been so 'helpful' now as well. It has led to them not being able to take care of themselves, him not working, and she even lost her job right before Christmas. She had 'borrowed' something because they could not afford to pay for it, but she planned to do so when she got paid, but it just didn't work out that way! Her employers were like family and helped her out way too much and got sick of being abused as well. I wanted to much to help when I learned she had lost her job, but we barely make it ourselves and I wasn't about to take away from our family to help them out when they should be helping themselves!

Good morning. I am still exhausted. My baby (3 yr old) is still not well. I am calling the doctors today but I think it is a virus. His mouth and lips are swollen and it is on his hands and feet. My BF that I am staying with has it and so does 2 of her kids. She said it is miserable and feel like you mouth is on fire. I am saying my prayers that I do not get it!!
Mau those girls are so pretty. Handsome hubby too.
Tammy 17 year old has one of those dads. Tells him they can have a relationship when he's 18 makes it out like I do not let them have one but it is really because he does not like paying for his son.

Nothing much going on here, except it's back to Wallyworld AGAIN today! Got a heater yesterday for the bathroom, and the cord on it is so short...you can't get it near an outlet!! DH said no wonder they say it is energy efficient!!! Can't plug it in! So it's going back! They had a lot of different kinds so I will take them out of the box and see about the cord!
Then he got me a book light. Well...after taking it out of the pkg, the back ...where the batteries go...won't stay on! Therefore..no light! Geesh...I get tired of taking things back!

Hi Mau not going to the doctors. I knew it was a virus and I called into the doctors this morning.
He has hand,Foot and mouth disease, it is a virus and nothing we can do but wait it out. It is evidently going around and this boy seems to be succepitable (sp) to the wierd stuff. He had Impetigo so bad when he was younger that he was sent to a specialist who then took pictures to add to a book. And it took quite a while beofre we could get rifd of it. My heart breaks for him because of how much pain he is in :o(
Sorry ou have to go back to Wallyworld. It is one of my least favorite place to go.

I have 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and 2 ½ great grandchildren!! Time flies!!
Mine will be 48 yrs on July 9th.
Oh Marie, I had forgotten about that stuff! My grandaughter had that once! Awful stuff! But I don't remember her having it that bad. So sorry...poor little guy!

Really good. Yesterday we had the viewing and I said goodbye. Scott and I have been reminicsing and looking up his Navy career online. All very fun.

Hi all, I just wanted to let you know that I just talked with our dear Shirley's son and he says I can have all of her plants! I am just ecstatic over being allowed to have them and to be able to care for them!

Yeah, well, what I have to say is: "When the cat's away the mice will play!" and it sounds like you all have been doing plenty of playing while I was away this morning. Just got home--been gone since around 9 a.m.--had to go over to our 6 acres in another county and cut down some trees. DH is making a driveway through the trees so we can get to our warehouse without driving on the neighbor's property. I know, how did that situation evolve? Just don't ask, too long a story to tell here--talk about a nightmare! :o((

Marie, poor baby! I didn't know humans could get foot and mouth disease--thought that was for our equine and bovine friends. (horses and cows) It sounds just terrible--I hurt for him, poor little guy.

. . .and Marcy my DH's birthday is the same day as yours--the 23rd--only he is 4 years younger than you (and me). We talked about this when we first "met" on DG, remember (in a dmail)? I have actually been married for a total of 44 years--20 the first time and almost 24 this time but I know it only counts as 44 if one has been married that amount of time to one person. I, too, got married when I was 18 the first time around.

What are you Missouri and Ohio girls doing on the tropical forum--it's way too cold in your neck of the woods for tropical stuff unless you keep them inside in the winter. Of course, Tammy has a greenhouse--how about you, Marcy?

I haven't ordered anything for spring. I have a LOT of seeds that several different DGers have sent me and I am being really optimistic that they are all going to come up and grow and bloom and attract lots of butterflies and hummingbirds. However, Terry, er, ah, um, I would like to have some milkweek if it is a host plant for monarchs.

Well, I can hardly wait to see who has posted while I was writing this.
