Thanks for such a great welcome everyone!! Warmth in the tropics, what more could you ask for?
LOL
Hi Jeanne, thanks for the welcome. Hey Traci! Last I heard, she had a thousand brugs! I was lucky to get 4 cuttings from her. Generous gal with a great sense of humor just like Jaye.
Anyone else up this early?
Good morning Cathy. Very nice collection. Must be nice to have them outside in December! Mine are inside because our temps are still fluctuating. I had the heater on at the beginning of the week, and had to turn on the a/c yesterday. Shouldn't complain, I feel bad for my new friends who are getting snow and freezing weather.
Lana
Yikes, that's some major fluctuation!
Yes, I feel sorry for them too. Too bad we can't teleport yet (DH is a Star Trek fan) or I'd invite everyone down for the weekend! Maybe a botanical garden visit this morning, yummy lunch somewhere outdoors of course! Then pina coladas in the garden after lunch, and drum circle on the beach after dinner. Life in Florida is so tough!
Cathy
Cathy, I don't how you do it. . .living that kind of rough life. . .hang in there. :)
Morning all! You are right Lana, at least we're not snowed in.
I never had to worry about my supply on mature brugs as a good neighbour grows and sells them until I join DG! You all know how that goes!! Got to get my hands on "rearing" my own!! Turning out into an OCD trait!
Well, I noticed ONE leaf on my Adeline that had somewhat dried and curled up at the edge and a baby that had fallen off. So....I reread MOST of the brug threads and "Neemed" all my bruggies yesterday!!!!
Cathy, lolol on 'flavored'!!! 28 is not too much for you? I have this bruggie list and I'm already coveting most of Tman's tropicals! (Why must the nicest people be enablers too?)
Y'all stay warm!
~Jaye
Lana, I just barely survive ;-)
Grew up in Massachusetts, moved here 16 years ago. This is the life!
Off to paint stepping stones...
Jaye, some of the names sound so tasty, so...
I use neem spray too, hopefully it works well for you too.
Poor Cathy!! All the fun by herself! Lolol.
Neem ha? I heard it was good for plumies too. What's it for again?
Insecticide, Fungicide and Miticide. Use on Flowering Plants, Trees, Vegetables, Fruits and Nuts.
(verbatim from the bottle)
BRRRRRRRRRR it is 24º here, I am going to Cathy's and help her play with her Brugs!
Morning everyone! :)
I'm right behind you Tammy!
Be right back. I've found a site that sends me the cheapest rates for flights everyday. Might be able to get to Florida this afternoon.
Wait just a minute....
Couldn't get it to copy a link but here you go:
Airefairwatchdog.com
Put in your home airport and if you sign up they will send you a newsletter everyday. I don't expect to really go someplace but I sure like dreaming.
Christi
According to googlemap, it will take me 11 hours to get to S Venice by car. I can be there around 9pm. LOL.
I am dreaming, too, but lets go, Jaye! I am ready to go somewhere warm! And to get to play with Brugs, all the better! LOL
I have never been on a plane, and donno that I could, big chicken here! LOL
I was just at a small airport the other evening, but only to pick up my oldest son's GF and her family that couldn't make it on home with their OWN plane! LOL Hey, now there is an idea if I get myself to get on one! It is a 4 seater I believe, so could pick up a couple on the way through! ♥
Just itching to use those new suitcases, eh Christi! Are you already packed? LOL! I can see e are going to have trouble keeping our Christi at home from now on!
Morning everyone! 5 am here...
BHM, are you up that early to play with your flowers? :)
No, I wish...Work day today. Got the dogs to feed, a load of laundry to put in, a walk around the garden with a cup of tea, shower and a quick run down to the facility my FIL is in to say hi - all before work at eight!
WOW, you are a good girl! :) A walk around the garden with a cup of tea, I am so envious!
Hi, Jenny. Haven't really gotten the clothes together yet. It is 23 degrees here this morning and I really have to fantasize about wearing warm weather clothing. Shari guided me to Rainbowproducts.com Looks pretty good but I don't wan't to be the stand-out tourist. Ya' know, got to look kewl. hahahah
My favorite part of the day! After I get home from work and feed the dogs and say hi to Mum, the next thing I do is go for a walk round - things grow so quickly here that you can acually see a difference from the morning to the evening...
Lovely thought..fly and go!!!! Can't we just blink our eyes..and presto...
C'mon weather...it's 72 right now and confusing my SE daylilies!!! Sounds like a good idea there BHM, except it's gonna be iced tea for me!
My lot of you up already and bright eyed!!!!LOL
I remove are the leaves from my brugs just so I don't have to spray them for spidermites
heck I don't even put them in dirt, there just in plastic bags with there roots showing, and there just do fine setting in a dormant stage until spring!
72* it's 19* here and semi sunny!!!!
Too cold here for Iced Tea! LOL
Brrr! Can't even remember how 23 degrees feels like. Used to have to bundle up and always hated the feeling of being weighed down with clothes! I always keep a sweater in the car for trips to Safeway, they always keep it so cold.
EWWWWWWWWW Tman, glad it is a 'bit' warmer here! LOL
I can't type quickly enough to keep up with the thread, LOL! 19 degrees!
(knocking TMan's head) Another fine tip I'm paying attention to Don!! I just reread the bruggies forum again and repot all my babies...yes after I 'neemed' them!! According to Kell (a venerable brug expert), too big of a pot, the roots rot easily..so...not taking any chances! Someone PLEASE tell me not to be too anxious!!! I might have to eventually treat them as bougies !!!
So...the rest of the brug cuttings that are already rooted in water, I think I'll take a page from you Don! Someone stop me!!
BHM...impossible...19 in Hawaii???
