Placenciarita should have some pictures of her " O B P " right? Jerry

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Oh Yeah!! I will be getting me "OBP"
? I just got a R.H. Shumway's catalog that says....seed started early will produce a profusion of blooms the first year... now i'm really confused.
:~) Kim

Texasbigleaves, That is some bloom, exactly how big is it compared to the regular orange blooms? Do you have any of those blooming now? Mine bloomed spring through summer, then no more in the fall when they usually bloom.

Texasbigleaves, I will try to find a better picture of the "O B P"

Red Oak, TX

Truetropical77, She is a beauty. What is her name?

Dallas, TX

Pansy's are the only color i have except for aroid green. My OBP have stopped blooming. My White B.P. flower is twice the size of the OBP. OBP had 15 to 18 blooms on it this summer, My WHITE BIRD only has only one bloom on it a year. When i was in Miami FL. i've seen them two stories tall and so many blooms that you could not count them all. I took a lot pictures but with 35 mm. film camera. Jerry

Sorry if I'm stepping in, but for Kim, this is an Orange BOP, proving you can bloom it in zone 6. Same pot for 4 years. 3' tall, almost twice that in spread before I sort of tied up the leaves vertically to get it in the GH.

There are two of you literally in my back yard. One not too far in Dallas. How is it I haven't met you on other forums? I am so envious that Red Oak is growing everything as beautiful as Hawaii and I am all of 5 miles from you. Need help. You must have secrets that I have not discovered. While I am aware of all the beautiful natives, they don't make my heart race like the tropicals. What is your secret?
