Stop and visit, talk all you want. pt6

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Kwan, the kitty will be ok, really! :) We have one that doesn't like to be in the house, ONLY when HE wants to be! He was sleeping on the bar stool outside yesterday and I tried to get him to come in, but he looked at me like I was nuts! LOL
Glad you are back to normal hours, but I can only imagine ALL those returns!
Shaun is getting ready to head to Lowe's to buy more supplies to add on to my green house. :)

(Zone 7a)

OH, I know kitty will be okay...for now. It gets much colder and he won't be. We've known kitties that have frozen to death because their owners didn't want them in the house.

Have to run. Things to do...

Have fun today!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

AWE, poor kitties! The owners should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!
Wouldn't it be easier to drive than run? HE HE HE Especially with your foot! ☻

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Hi, all! I'm baaaacccckkk! Been away from home and computer for two whole days! I've been having withdrawals! LOL We spent the last 48 hours at my MIL's house. Intended to come home yesterday but it started raining hard about noon and then that rain suddenly turned into HUGE flakes of snow and it snowed for about an hour and then started raining again but it was still snowing, too. Go figure that crazy weather! Anyway, we were inside and warm and cozy so we just stayed over till this morning.
Sounds like you all had a good Christmas and you managed to stay out of trouble while I was away. LOL
Janis, your kids looked well-pleased with their gifts.
Sorry you weren't feeling well, Tammy. I had a bit of a cold myself but I have it under control now. Hope you are feeling better, too, Janis. Glad the dr.'s appt. went well, Celia, (except for the BP). It seems like almost everyone I know has high BP (including me). Do you think it might be the crazy life-style we Americans "enjoy"???
I'm posting a pic of our snow. It probably doesn't seem like much to you folks who have snow on a regular basis but down here where I live, any snow is a major event! LOL This was taken from my MIL's back door after it had been snowing for about 30 minutes.

MAU, You are back! AND, we have been behaving ourselves! Can you believe it! LOL

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

I'm really proud of you girls, Tammy!! LOL

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Awe shucks, Mau, now I'm blushin! ☺ LOL

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning, everyone! Looks like everybody was either busy with family last night or just plain tired after the holiday. I was catching up on my rest, too---not that I have been doing anything all that strenuous. It's just that when I am away from home for even a day or two, I don't sleep as well as I do in my own bed. LOL
I am ready for some sunshine and I certainly hope we get to see the sun today! It was raining here earlier and is overcast now. However, the next few days are supposed to be rain free--hooray!
Celia, did you all get that extra snow you were expecting?
Woofens, how are things with your 17 yr. old son? Is he still in Arizona with his dad?
Tammy, we haven't had any pics of the puppies in a few days.
Terry, Marcy, Lynda, Cathy and everyone else: be sure to stop in here and say hi!
Talk to you all later!

Mau (Marilyn)

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hey Mau, I was whooped last night and went to bed as soon as Lettermen came on! I will try to get some pics today. I hope that Teensy is trying to open her eyes and that Tuxedo has both open! The weather here STINKS! It is raining and snowing huge flakes! I wanna get out and finish my new green house today, so it had better stop doing that! LOL

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Good morning all!! I actually had to get some work done yesterday and then went home to my 5 year old with an an ear infection spent a couple of hours at the doctors office!!

Mau that snow picture is pretty!! although I must say I do not want to live where it snows. I have a hard enough time dealing with the freezes we have. Makes my garden turn to mush for a while.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Marie, I sure hope your baby is better today! I know I grew up with constant ear infections and bronchitis, so I know it is NOOOOOOOOOOO fun!

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

I think he will be fine. My 17 year old was at the doctors no less than 3 times a week for the first couple of years of his life due to ear infections. Had tubes 6-8 times etc... He was so immune to the pain that I would not even know he had an ear infection until his ear drum burst and he would be upset because there was yucky stuff coming out of his ears!!
My oldest has asthma and gets bronchitis every year. They should consider themselves blessed to not have both like you!!

I cannot wait to see those puppy pictures!!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Well I am glad he is better, then! My ear drums didn't burst until I was an adult, and they gave me meds that knocked me out for 4 hours, went to the bathroom, took more, out another 4 hours, etc....I did this for 4 days until I could actually bare the pain and move around! I laid with a heating pad wrapped around my head even. I'm sure I looked like an alien of some sort, but I didn't care! LOL My equilibrium was off so bad I walked like a drunk, holding on to the walls just to make it to the bathroom! I can stand a lot of pain, but when it comes to my teeth or my ears, forget it, I am the biggest baby on the planet!
Puppies are busy eating, and sis is asleep on the couch, so will get ya alls 'puppy fix' ASAP! LOL

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

I have only had one ear infection as an adult and I was a huge baby!! I have no clue how my son could act so normal other than he became immune to the pain!!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

He must have, but I sure donno how anyone could! Between that and kidney stones, I told everyone I would have rather had another baby!

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

LOL!!!!! I think I will take another ear infection thank you.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

ROTFLMAO! The ear infection, yes, but ears bursting, and kidney stones, no! HE HE HE None of my 3 kids took that much to get over! ☺

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

My 4th did and it still effects me. I am sticking to my story. I would rather have that ear infection!! :o)

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Whoa--y'all have certainly had your share of ear infections and all the other stuff! I'm thankful I haven't had any problems like that. I did have bronchial pneumonia when I was 3 (that is what my mother called it, anyway) and she said I had bronchitis for several years after but that I finally "outgrew" it. I don't remember that, of course. Anyway, I have very few health problems. I do have a pacemaker and I did have to have my heart valve repaired 4 years ago but other than taking a blood thinner and BP meds, I am pretty healthy, for which I am very thankful! and I was made for having babies --no problems there whatever. I probably could have had a dozen as far as just birthing them was concerned. Raising them is another thing altogether. LOL However, I am past the age for birthing or raising children. I just love on the grandkids and send them home! That's what grandparents are for. Isn't that right, Marcy?
Marie, our snow down here, what little we get, never lasts very long. It's nice to see it about once a year but then I am ready for it to go away for another year. I hope your little one is feeling better now.
Looking forward to those puppy pics, Tammy!

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

If my doctor had listened to me when I said my 4th was too big I would have not had problems but since he did not my last was a c-section. Other than my knees I am a very healthy person. I could stand to loose about 20 lbs and will try and work on that this coming year.
Glad to hear your snow does not last long!! I like to visit snow (we have some about 2 hours away) but am glad to get back to the Valley where this is none!!

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Good morning everyone! Yup....Marilyn, that's what grandma's are for!! Love having my grandkids...love sending them home too.....LOL!!
I had ear infections as a kid too...my eardrums burst many times, as we didn't go to the dr very often back then. It also made me hard of hearing. My youngest son had constant ear infections when he was little, and that was before tubes. When he was two, they finally took his tonsils and adenoids out, and he never had another ear infection after that! Of course, they don't do that now I guess. Things change.
Glad you all are getting caught up on your rest.
I took our tree down yesterday....well...took the ornaments off that is.
Today is my shopping day, and of course..it's raining. A very cold rain at that! Just how I like it when I go grocery shopping!! :)
Can't wait to see those puppies again!
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

Does anyone know how to block a website? I thought my daughter was having a good time at a place called habbo hotel. Only to discover that she's told them that she's disabled, but they don't believe her. I honestly can't believe what they've said to her. I've contacted the site to remove her, but is there a way for me to just block that site? My heart hurts.

It's snowing outside, I love snow. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! Can't live in a place that has no snow. Tried it and it stunk. Have to have snow, otherwise it isn't winter.

The paint continues to peel on my cabinet and I've got one more thing to try before I just smash the whole thing.

No, I'm not in a good mood ;((

I'm off now to paint some more. My cabinet has about 8 coats of paint on it by now. In some places that is. Other places it's just flaking off clear down to the wood and it doesn't make any sense.

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

Ok, all, there is no way I can catch up, so..... hope everyone is well :)

I ended up in the ER 2 nights ago, with this stupid sinus infection thingy..... I have pretty much slept since then. Last night the antibiotic made me sick, and I threw up all my medicine so I didn't sleep. :(( Trying to get a hold of the kids dad to come get them for a couple hours today, so I can get some rest.

The concert tickets I got are for Trace Adkins and Bill Engvall in March. It looks like my best friend is gonna fly in from Iowa for the week of the concert to go with me :))

Hugs to all, I'm just too tired to sit here right now

Janis

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Janis get better and I will be praying for a quick recovery!! I am glad your BF gets to come and enjoy the concert with you!!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Ok all, hope you get to feeling better REALLY soon! Here are a couple pics I got this morning, will try for better later! Ok, can't get em to load onto puter, have to get Shaun to see what is wrong!

Tammy

Fredericksburg, VA(Zone 7b)

Must be the weather, I was up at 3:00am this morning with ripper of a sinus headache. Finally got it under control and am trying to figure out what I did with the innards for the humidifier.......sigh

terryr, you might be able to go thur the parental controls in windows to block that site. People can be so cruel and thoughtless.

I too love the grandbabies and give them back! My son says I spoil them, but I keep telling him its The Rule! The grandma shall spoil the grand child.......what's not to love? LOL

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Terry, so sorry about DD's experience at that website. Give her extra hugs from me and Pau! I don't have a clue as to how to block something like that. There is a forum on computers, I think, and they may be able to tell you something over there. Start your own thread with the question: "How do you block a website?" or something like that. You should get some response from some of the computer- literate folks.
Janis: get well soon!
me, too, Cathy--up at 3 a.m. that is--don't know why--just couldn't sleep. I've had a cold/sinus infection, too, but it is pretty much out of here so I don't think that is what caused me to be wakeful. I read for a couple of hours and then went back to bed and slept till 7:30 a.m. or thereabouts.
Marcy, did you get your shopping done in spite of the rain? Our rain has moved on to the east. The sun came out a little bit ago--just in time to set. LOL Maybe we will get to see it all day tomorrow! I hope so--I'm tired of overcast skies!
Tammy, tell Shaun to hurry up and download those puppy pics--we're all waiting!

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Terry....sorry to hear about your daughter's experience. I don't know anything about blocking things either. Marilyn's idea sounds good.
Janis....I hope you feel better real soon! What a bummer!
Marilyn, yes....got the shopping done. Thank goodness for Wallyworld's one stop shopping! I got home just about supper time. Then made hubby take me to Bob Evans for supper. We just got back.
They have this potato crusted flounder that is delicious!
How did your day go?

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

My day was spent doing the check register and paying bills online or getting them into the mailbox at the post office. That took me all afternoon---ugh!! Now that that unpleasant task is done maybe I can enjoy the week-end. LOL Our weather is supposed to be a little warmer with sunshine to boot so that will make for a more pleasant day tomorrow. :o))
In the meantime, I am going to grab a cup of decaff coffee and finish watching The Dog Whisperer. Y'all have a good evening if there is anyone out there. LOL

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Sorry, Mau. I told him about it then we went out to work on the new green house. I about froze my tushy off and had to keep coming in the house! Then I was worn out, guess from all the cold, and fell asleep on the couch for a good 2 hours! He has been fighting with this machine trying to figure out why we don't have sound! Will get them as soon as we figure it out. :)

(Zone 7a)

Sorry... I've been gone a couple of days. Spending a lot of time with DH as he's on vacation until Jan. 2nd. We've been watching some movies and talking. Kind of catching up from the holidays. You'd think living together for all this time we'd run out of things to say, but no, still lots to talk about. I think we just might be one of those couples that spend 50 years together and still walk on the beach and hold hands. So much love here. (sigh)

Misty, I'm hyperventilating waiting on those pictures! LOL Glad you're feeling better.

My DH had an ear infection ONCE. He's vowed never to have another. Hated it and refused to do it again. LOL

Doccat? Did you find the insides of your humidifier?

Marilyn, good to have you back. We were wondering what happened to you.

Now, if everyone would stop getting sick, we could have a decent winter chat! LOL Just kidding...Hope everyone who's sick now will be better soon. Hope everyone who's NOT sick, stays well.

New Year's is coming...What's y'alls plans? Anything? We don't go out...too many drunks. It scares us. We watch TV (usually a movie), ring in the new year and fall asleep. Such a party, we are! LOL

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hey Sister, glad to have ya back! This behaving is really starting to get to me! SHHHHHHH don't tell Mau! :) Shaun is off, too, so having to share puter with him and he is more of a night owl than I am since he works nights.
I think Brandon, my oldest son, and his GF will be one of those couples that stay together, too. This is his first REAL GF and they have just celebrated their first year together, and are just way too cute together! It makes it nice cause we are a 'poor' family, and they are far from it, and still get along very well! His birthday is on New Year's Eve, so we don't do much but a B-day party and bring in the New Year and go to sleep, too!
Hope all are feeling better!
HUGS
Tammy

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Hi everyone.
Kwan...we do the same thing on New Years Eve. DH calls it amateur night! We stay off the roads!
We slept in this morning, and I woke up so sore I could hardly move! Think I laid too long. Doing better now, that I have been moving around.
I hope you all have a great day. I really don't have much to talk about today...haven't done anything interesting here. Sorry :)

(Zone 7a)

Hey, Tam. Isn't it great to have love?

(Zone 7a)

Don't worry, Marcy. We're kind of boring, too. LOL

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

It is Wonderful to have great Love! Although I would love to hang em by their toenails occasionally! LOL
Better to be boring than to get killed out with the idiots, though!

(Zone 7a)

AGREE!!! LOL

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

:) It is nice enough outside I can work on the new green house, YAYYYYYYYYYYY!

(Zone 7a)

Mine keeps tipping over. I lost two Paulownia trees and a hosta. I think I'm going to bring it in the house to start seeds over the winter.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

REALLY?! Mine is doing fine, but it is against two walls of the house, might make a difference? Now I will have two portable, and two REAL ones! YIPEEEEEEEE for me! LOL AND, he says he will still do the one on the back of the garage! ♥
It will have to wait a while cause it will be large and way more expensive! :(
