Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Was gonna ask if you were ready for this soon! LOL

(Zone 7a)

Yeah, I just wasn't paying attention!

My goodness the wind kicking up outside! LOL I thought the roof was going to come off and I was going to end up in Kansas! LOL

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

OMG NOT KANSAS! LOL You just let the wind pick you up and carry you to Missouri, then we can get into ALL kinds of mischief! LOL
I just had to fight with Dish Network, AGAIN! I have to do this every single time, and it gets so freaking irritating! ARGHHHHHHH

(Zone 7a)

Arguing about what?

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Every time I try to call it tells me that there is more than one account listed, and every time I asked for it to be fixed! Well, this time I went straight to a supervisor and he SAID it was corrected. I even mentioned the other persons name cause we get calls for him all the time. This guy had even ordered some special tile and hadn't corrected his number! I left Charter cause they were screwing us around, no DISH seems to be as big a pain, or worse!

(Zone 7a)

That happened to me with my cell. Had all my numbers transfered to one acct. After that, everytime I logged on the website, I would be looking at some other guys info! What the H...!?!? I said.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Isn't that just so frustrating!

(Zone 7a)

I have to head to work now. Stay away from the chocolate and give puppies snuggles for me!

(Zone 7a)

Yeah, a mess to fix it!

Anyway, I have to leave now as the storm is heading right at me! See you in MO! LOL

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

NOOOOOOOO I need chocolate! Even asked Shaun to buy me some Dove! LOL
I will be waiting to catch you flying through the air on your way by! LOL

(Zone 7a)

Look for the silver Tacoma with the smiley sun on the antenna! LOL

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Out there waiting for ya now! LOL

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Thanks for the well wishes. But not sure I will be able to do it much past the first of the year. As a matter of fact I said if things did not change I was not doing it anymore.
Celia were you in the same situation?

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Were we so bad we ran everyone off? ☺See, I have even been learning new tricks having to be a good girl and all! LOL

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

☺☻♦♣♠◘◙♂♀♪♫☼►◄↕‼¶§▬↨↑↓→←∟↔▲▼ Lots more to learn misty...lol!

I'm still here, been busy cleaning all day. My house is finally clean! We've been gutting and redoing, stripping, staining, polying, painting.....who's got time to clean? You don't want to know what under the fridge looked like...ewwww!

Tomorrow is another day of slapping on the Milk Paint and doing some urethane on the shelves that are done.

We have a Winter Storm Warning also. Fun! Rain turning to freezing rain into snow. Then windy. Should be interesting!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

OK, now you can come and finish mine! LOL Well darn it, talk about raining on my parade! LOL Thats ok, I was learning it all by myself, so I can do more! :) Watch out for that nasty weather! Ours is about gone, but ground is soaked!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

☺☻♥♦♣♠•◘○♀↨8 shoot even learning things I didn't need to know! HA HA HA

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Oh Celia, oh Celia, wherefore art thou oh Celia! HA HA HA ♀

(Zone 7a)

Sorry! I ahd to work until midnight. Well, 12:30am is when we left. One of my friends there lost here cars keys and I drove her home. CLose to home. Her apartment keys were on the same set. Blizzard going on and she's stuck until she can find the landlord! She made me drop her at an all night Wally World. She called a cab and was going to stay in a motel for the night! I said she could stay at my house but she wouldn't do it.

So, I didn't get home until 1:30am. Cold and snowy and I couldn't see the road, let alone the lines! But thank goodness for 4WD! LOL

Marie, I was single mother for a very long time. One child. She went missing one day from work and I didn't hear from her for 3 years. (That's a story for another day.) After she reappeared, she drifted form place to place. N. Carolina, Kentucky, Connecticut...After she came home again , she couch-surfed for another few years. At 28, she FINALLY has grown up! Bought a car, got her own place, a job that pays well. I have a grandson in SoCal I have never met. I would have jumped at the chance then to take them in but...

Things are fine now.

I'm getting sleepy so I'm going to say goodnight. (After I have a snack!)
Goodnight, stay warm.

Celia

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Good morning Celia. The mother of the baby is not mine (very long story for another time) but is very young and full of herself. She wants to be a mpm part time and only when she feels like it but as she say "I am a good mom" I got him back yesterday but he is going with his other grandma today for the weekend. Extremely hard to let him come and go so much. Poor little guy is not even two and he has lived in at least 5 different place and has lots of men in and out of his little life. I am praying she gets it together and have come to the conclusion that at this point there is nothing I can do except love and care for him when I am allowed too.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Morning all!
Celia, I am glad you made it home ok as I never did catch you flying by! LOL
marie-so sorry to hear about that poor baby, oh so sad!

(Zone 7a)

Good morning, all. It's 28º and snowing. 6"-7" and building. I had a Dr. appt. this morning but Dr. couldn't make it. Apparently she's sick. Drs. catch everything that comes in the office!

Tammy, the truck wasn't very aeordynamic so it didn't get off the ground very far! LOL It did, however, blow all over the road! LOL

Marie, isn't it funny how they all think they're perfect? I did, too!

I think I'll go back to bed. Or maybe the grocery store. Never did get there yesterday and still don't have any food. DH called me last night after it started snowing. He said he stopped and got a frozen pizza, came home and preheated the oven. The minute the oven was ready, he put the pizza in and...the power went out! 45 minutes later, he finally got his dinner. THEN he had to go to his mom's house to take her garbage can out to the curb.

Anyway, stay warm and behave yourself, Tammy! (Oh wait, that's Marilyn's line!) LOL

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

WEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAA MIL is coming home!!!!!!!! Doin the happy dance! HUGS to all!

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Congratulations on your MIL being able to come home. The perfect Christmas gift!!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Best one I think any of us could have! :)

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Well, I have been gone for almost 36 hours (took MIL to doctor yesterday and that is an all day trip for us) and you guys certainly make it hard to catch up but I'm proud of you for behaving--especially Tammy! LOL Sorry to hear about that nasty burn on your finger, though. ---but so glad your MIL is coming home from the hospital in time for Christmas!
Terry, you weren't teaching Tammy how to cuss in computer language, were you?

Marie, I can appreciate the situation you are in with the little grandson. Been there, done that, sort-of.-- only in our case we practically raised a granddaughter the first 7 years of her life while her single mother was getting her college degree and then her master's degree. Not exactly the unhappy situation you find yourself in but I know what it is like to have a very young child to care for on a daily basis when one is in their 50's! I would do it again in a heartbeat, though, to keep the DGD from being bounced from one babysitter to another. That child was the light of our lives when she was young. It was very hard on us when she was no longer coming to our house every day and even spending the night with us 2-3 times a week. Talk about withdrawals--we had them!! We still get to see her regularly, though, as we maintain a good relationship with her mother (who is not my daughter--this granddaughter is my son's daughter but that is another story, too.)
My BFF has custody of her 12 yr. old granddaughter because her DGD's own mother has fried her brain on drugs and is currently married to another druggie. Such a sad situation for all concerned and a bad commentary on the times we live in!

Celia, your DD looks like you, I think.--Very pretty girl. BTW, I thought the same thing about the two different team jackets they were wearing! LOL

Well, I need to go buy some different types of chocolate chips to make those cookies Marcy was telling us about. I'll try to check in later tonight.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Oh now I am blushing! LOL I won't tell you I behaved cause I hurt my finger, or that Celia had to work late....LOL We try not to tell our little secrets ya know! ☺Glad to finally have ya back to keep us in line! HUGS Tammy

Bureau County, IL(Zone 5a)

Yes Mau, I taught Tammy how to cuss in computer language. Now you just need to decipher what we said. Ready? Set! Go! The clocks a ticking!!

I've got to take my daughter to get her cut....Mau!! You saw her hair! She wants it cut off to her shoulders...waaaa!!!! Why do people with straight hair want curly hair and curly haired people want straight hair. All the styles she picks are for straight hair and she doesn't have straight hair. I just told her the beautician is not a magician!!

Tammy, congratulations on your MIL coming home. Not many people have a good relationship with theirs, myself included. Long story and as everybody keeps saying, for another time...lol.

Will do Milk Painting and urethaneing when I return. I also need to help my hubby put the new latch on the back of the door that my other husband made us to replace what somebody sometime threw out when they covered it with that awful paneling I'm guessing.

Hasta la vista ☺

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

☺☻♥☼↨◄
Here I go doing it again! Mau is gonna whoop me fer sure now! LOL

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

I want to know how to do that???

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

hold the alt button down and press a number, let the alt key up and see what ya get! :) that is all I have figured out so far. If you want the degree symbol you hold the alt key down and press 167 on your number pad (will only work there for some reason?) let the alt key up and wolla! º

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Not working for me ☺☺☺☺☺☺ ▬♣♥♥♥ this could be fun

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

You go girl! LOL

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

It was not working at first and then ♠♣◘○•☺☻♥

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Isn't it just so much fun!

(Zone 7a)

Oh boy, that nap felt good! LOL Went to the store (forgot the postage) and got some lunch and other things.

At work yesterday, I found the cutest little easel for my GN. He's three. IT has whiteboard on one side and a chalkboard on the other. Also got a plaque with his name on it for his bedroom door.

YEA, ON YOUR MIL COMING HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DH just informs me, there are stamps in the drawer! LOL Guess I should look first. So, they'll go out tomorrow, Tam.

☺ Ha

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Hey,, Tammy, no whooping 'cuz even I'm trying it now: ☺☺☻♦♣♠•◘○ Hey, I can count to nine!! LOL and now I can make the degree sign over on the weather forum!!! ºººº See!! LOL (BTW, I keep a flyswatter on top of my refrigerator for those who do need "whoopings".)

Terry, did DD get her hair cut after all? I had/have naturally curly hair all my life--very, very curly when I was growing up--now much more relaxed and I always wanted straight hair so I could grow a pony tail. Never happened!

Glad you got a nap, Celia. I was slaving over a hot stove "while you were sleeping". Made 2 loaves of pumpkin bread--one with raisins and nuts and one without. Also made 5 dozen of those Triple Chocolate Cookies which Marcy recommended. Yummy, yummy and only about 5,000 calories each. Marcy, I did find some of the cinnamon flavored chips and bought some but I didn't use them in this batch--thought I would save them for a later batch.

Speaking of "While You Were Sleeping", I watched that again last night. I just love that movie--love watching the facial expressions on Sandra Bullock--she is such a good actress!. I may watch it again tonight! LOL I like just about anything that has Sandra Bullock in it. I also have her movie called "Hope Floats". It is really good, too. And I loved Miss Congeniality--haven't seen the sequel, though--Is there a 2 and 3? My, my--she needs to hire me as her PR person!! LOL

I'm tired after all that baking--think I'll go have some coffee and watch a little TV. I'll check in later. Bye for now.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Celia, I am just gonna send em to ya! LOL
Oh now Mau! LOL I will be good, I promise, no flyswatters! (fingers crossed behind my back!)
I took a bit of a nap, too. I think I ate something that didn't agree and felt kinda puny. Then of course the phone rang, but it was ok as it was one of my dear Shirley's family members just needing to talk. I think that since I live across the street, and Dustin was her 'pest buddy', it helps her to talk to me. I also got the carousel horse wind chime that she had given me this past summer when I was over there digging glass out of her foot! I just never had took it down, then didn't feel like I should with all the family matters. She had asked the son if he would give it to me, so he sent it over with Dustin. (of course it caused a tear or two!)

(Zone 7a)

Tammy, I have a couple of tears for her, too. My mom's name is Shirley.

And the postage is on it's way! LOL Do you have a pic of that windchime? I'll bet it's pretty.

I haven't done any baking yet. Looks like I'll be doing it on Xmas Eve morning. I found a really yummy looking recipe for y'all...

No clue if this will work.
