Well, you 2 were having fun weren't ya? LOL Sorry I missed it. I was in bed by 8 last night with a horrible migraine. Slept til around 11:15, talked to Mike for a while, and was back to sleep before midnight, and slept til my alarm went off at 7:20. I must have needed it.

Hey Janis-we had a blast! LOL Was up til 2 am and the darn dogs had to wake me up before 8!!! I wanted to shoot em! I will be taken me a nap later! :)

my husband and i are vying for who is the biggest idiot...i say him because he's a little older & bigger than me ;-)

i knew it was best not to take the young ones into petsmart yesterday...just knew it
he decided to & they went to see the puppies
now we have two new puppies at home.....didn't need to do that
they were from rescues that get them out of high kill shelters, so i know we saved them (all of our pets are saved pets) and now the rescue can save more

one is a bull terrier mix...they said lab but i don't see that in her...she is now princess
the other is a shar pei mix...a little boy...not named yet....his head and body look mismatched....really cute

they have to met their older brother and sister...our great pyrenees....size diff for now should be pretty funny

we are going to have to mail order pet supplies since we can't seem to leave a store without a new addition....

I HATE living in town at times! We have young neighbors that thinks it is ok to BLAST their music anytime they want! Their house is probably less that 15 feet from ours and it is SOOOOOOOOOO annoying! We have told them about it, I have called the cops on them when I am TRYING to sleep, and have even called their Landlord, nothing works! Any suggestions?????

Those links were hilarious--the one about God and the grass sounds just like DH this past summer. All that fertilizing and watering and mowing and then he goes and tills up a good portion of the front yard to make 2 new flower bids!! LOL

no suggestions about the loud neighbor, Misty, short of violence and that will never do! You could move, maybe?

we live on 10+ acres so we don't get much noise from neighbors...usually can hear the stereos blasting from cars...i know i like to turn it up in the car, but some of these people must have some hearing loss because we can hear the cars well before seeing them
so far, the only noise the neighbors have heard from us is our roosters crowing basically 24/7....

the neighborhood we lived in before in martinsburg wv was really going down hill...some kids who are fairly young & basically out of control were causing problems and the last i heard at least 3 houses were put up for sale in part of the changed atmosphere...glad we moved last year!

I own, they rent, so no moving for me! I don't get it, though. They have a son that is about a year old that has to deal with this, and has had to since he was born, poor child! To give you an idea how loud-I have my own TV on, kids running and being kids, everything else in the house that makes noise, and all I hear IS BOOM BOOM BOOM!

You could report them to your child services agency for endangering a minor---the hearing of the baby? That is a distinct possibility.

We have the ones that blast you out before you see their vehicles, too! I am sure they have to have hearing loss! My oldest will be 16 soon, and he better have his turned down before he gets close! LOL

I had worried about the little guy once before when I was at the neighbors on the other side of them and they were there with no baby. That neighbor asked where he was and she said oh, he is sleeping in his bed, but the window is open and I can hear if he wakes up! But they always seem so loving and happy with him....

Too risky in this day and age to being doing something like that in my opinion. My sister calls me a nag with my kids because I am always so 'cautious' with them! She don't have any, so I don't really think she is aware of how bad things can be nowadays.

i try to be careful as much as possible
my oldest is special needs with very impulsive behavior & when she and her sister are together everything is fair game
we are having to lock cabinets & fridge & freezer as well as dresser drawers
have to get some additional locks for doors because if they can get into a room they will go through everything

it is hit or miss going out with all three...i try to avoid it if i'm by myself
when all 3 are home i don't shower unless i'm up a lot earlier otherwise they go nuts in the house...if i have the two younger ones i have more flexibility

WOW, sounds like you have your hands full! How old are they?

zachary is 2 1/2
cecillia is 4
charllotte is 6....they are about 22 mos apart
charllotte looks older than 6 so i find it really hard keeping in mind that mentally in some regards she is younger than cecillia
they are so different in their approaches to things which makes them more successful when they are together...charllotte is tall & willowy and climbs...cecillia is a pixie sized little mountain climber & zachary is already bigger than cecillia and is a moose in his approach!

WOW I bet your days are filled with a lot of excitement! :)

i am not on the same mental wave pattern at all so i'm continually surprised at what they will get into let alone how they do it!

We have alot of the vehicles that we can hear the radio before we can see the car too, but we're pretty close to the road. You all saw the guard rail at the top of my stairway to nowhere LOL .

going to eat some on the un-stuffed pepper soup I made last night, I rinsed my mouth out with Listerine (OUCHY) and its a bit better so I"m gonna eat while I can, and probably pay for it later :)

Morning, all! Or should I say nearly afternoon! LOL I had a bad night. After going to bed, my acid reflux kicked in with a vengeance. I think I ate a whole roll of Rolaids. And took another pill. Nothing seemed to help. Finally fell sleep again around 4am. Then slept until 10:30.

Well, it's 28º (I remembered, Misty) and the sun is TRYING to come out. Supposed to have more snow but not until tonight.

Yes, M and I had a good time last night.

Misty? The only thing you can do is keep calling the police. Don't stop to think about it, just call quick or they won't be able to do anything. They have to see and hear the noise. You say you've contacted to landlords? What was their response?

We did have fun last night! LOL We were multi talented, talking on two threads at once! LOL Kwan, how about some Violet Dusk Penstemon, too? Not sure they would go with what you are doing, but let me know???
The police don't do much, unfortunately! Our neighbors behind us have 3 non-stop barking dogs (they finally moved them to the front of their house!) and I even filed an official complaint against them, and NOTHING! All the Landlord did was call them and tell them to turn it down. They are such good people I hate to bother them. They are young, with two young children, but NEVER bother anyone themselves.

Yeah, bad night, bad neighbors. Whatta ya gonna do, huh?

The people across the street from us have several cars. They have A LOT of cars! Most are okay, kinda loud but one in particular drives us NUTS! Cobra Mustang. 2003. 455 hp with the BIG muffler. He races it. If he backs that car out of his driveway at 3am, it will wake up the entire neighborhood. Just starting it up will bring the hackles up on my neck! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

EWWWWWWW that would be irritating!
I finally broke down and left a message for the Landlord! This has been going on since before 9am this morning and I am getting very irritated! They know I call the cops on them, and I may be doing it again soon. Even Shaun has tried to talk to him about it, and he of course turned it down then, but they obviously have no respect for their neighbors! I am not the only one who complains, but I think I am the only one who does anything about it.......
