This is the most creative bunch of gals I've ever seen! Everything everyone posts looks so nice. I guess I don't have that kind of mind. I can follow instructions but couldn't "create" my way out of a wet paper bag!

Good morning..it's early and I'm up..our entire region is wrapped in winter white..trees are laden in snow, branches on trees are hanging heavily, such a beautiful site..I'm just waiting for the 5:30 newscast to hear what some of our roads are like...as long as it doesn't start snowing I'll be leaving around 9am but first I must go out and shovel/shovel for an hour..

I'll have my coffee here checking out weather reports in north USA to see if roads are ok as well..no sense taking a chance...

So funny, was thinking last night, how will I get me 'fix' on DG on this thread because I'll so miss you my friends..only solution was to drop into a truck stop..many truckers connect into internet services to dialog with office and family..perhaps if this older, gentle, soft spoken woman asked them for the use of their computer for 5 minutes, they just might say 'yes' in the Christmas spirit of things...think it would work..omg how do I come up with these things?lol

So off I go, you'll probably hear from me from time to time with my reports..still much to do by 9 which is kick off time..let's hope...

Jeannine..love your deer..you'll not only have the deer but memories of all your quilts and hangings when you look at it in later years...

busy day today at work and surprise my boss called me in for a chat on how she could help me achieve what i want from work. Im in the twilight zone!
dont get too excited, she does this then turns back to her old self once her manager has stopped assessing her.

other than that i feel much better today.

Laura, let's hope that the survey all did brought some of the problems to surface and she MUST try to be a better leader...so enjoy, hope that it will last, show her how wonderful you are at your job and who knows..many a time conflicts resolve and you will have a good working relationship with her..

Just got in from shovelling and now it's bath time..they say the roads are being cleared so if we wait till the working mass get to the city it won't be too bad..we'll try, if weather and road conditions warrant, we'll just get a hotel room..wow that's a lot of shoveling..hopefully my plowman will be here before we leave so we can pull Aunts car into the yard to packing...

Off I go, must put together all the gifts I've got ready to take with me and of course my baggage..haven't any craft to bring as yet..lol...

what a day yesterday mil and fil fighting there both 70 and fil cant do things has to use a walker has problems so mil has to go clean him up sometimes he says she is the worst jail warden known to mankind.
he cant do anything she says he is just to demanding and she is through with all of this then exagerated on this drawer full of coin's, she had said they took 15% at the coin machine fil said it is not then another fight broke out. we were ready to leave by then so for 1 hour we sat around the table and rolled coin and said not a word couldnt wait to get out of there i was ready to go lay on the ground and wait for the sky to fall on me lol

what is it about the hollidays and people just get marginal came home and found the patch job we did on the roof was successful but there is a leak between the garage and the kithen so i guess we'll have to put up a tarp there ok i yapping to much got to get ready for work, i want to wish you a merry christmas betty may the angels watch over you bring you safely back will miss you liz

Well everyone..bags are at the door..still callling for poor weather but then towards Wedn. it could get worse so, out of here I go..

Laura you are right, that is no way for so called Christians to act and it is their loss. My parents are the same, I grew up in a Chrisian home, when I got older,My mom asked my biological father who I had a relationship with until I was 7 or 8, to sign over his parental rights and she wouldn't go after him for back child support he owed, he was a musician and in his early 20's. (They were married). And He did it.

My Mom told his family not to contact us and we were moving across the country anyway.

As an adult, he found out that I was married and contacted my sister and I jus to let us know that he always loved us and regretted signing us over.

My Mom and Dad found out before we could tell them and try to make it alright with them but they disowned us and my MOM now tells anyone who asks about my sister and I that we are SOCIOPATHS, like a serial killer or something. They want nothing to do with us and disinherited us about 15 years ago. We tried to reach out and I did as recently as last year, only to get a letter back that said," See ya in Heaven, You are a Sociopath that hurt and betrayed us on purpose and you can never change." She also said she had been watching to see if we would be sociopaths since we were born (like our Biological father is/NOT but she thinks). She determined that we were sociopaths since we were about 10 or 11 she said.

It is hard to reconsile this behavior since it is so UNChrist-like and it hurts Laura but it is on them and they will answer for it. Forgiving others is a componant to being forgiven, they have hatred and indifferance , unforgiveness and judgment in their heart Laura. It is better for you and your family to be away from that sickness anyway as it is for us in my family not to be poisoned by this stuff.

Sorry to pontificate on my own life. I just relate to the sadness. It is ok, God has given us" friends" that are more loving than family to us.
