There was a song in the 60's by Norma Tanega called "Walkin' My Cat Named Dog"... one of the lines was "Dog is a good old cat..."
Victor Should Write a Book
8 is enough?
I had two stray cats but they left home. You know it really does hurt your feelings. They had free cat food and scratches behind the ears and all the mice they might care to catch. I think from now on my dogs will be my cats JD. They do catch a few mice now and then.
Sorry - I've been away for awhile - but I have finally finished marking. Anyway, has anyone started compiling all the "Victorisms" on DG - that would make a book in itself. :-)
p.s. - like the new words I just coined (wait . . . some DG member has probably already used the term . . . )
Thanks. However, the ones I have thought of, but didn't post are way better!
But . . .you could publish them!
Don't tempt me! (We're in Eden again - that's a different thread!)
Do we have any playwrights? I keep thinking a play could be written about three members of an on-line garden club, each actor separately spotlit while on stage, engaged in conversation with the other members that are not physically present to the other.
Not sure I am explaining this very well . . . but I bet it could be done!
Ah . . . just like a man, succumbing (sp?) to temptation!
I sometimes doubt any of us are physically present. Or past.
We try to be nonphysical! Unless someone sereptitiously (no spell check) posts a picture.
And nonsensical too!
I like the idea of a series of one act plays...each one with Victor as the lead character.
Jeez - enough already! There is one act I do like to play...
Huh?
pay him no mind - i think he is being obscene and not heard.
Who me?!
i didn't hear anything... did anybody else hear anything?
Actually, it was a 'play' on words. Instead of 'There is a play I love to act...'
Check out Gloria's chestnut article today.

Thanks for the plug Victor! I hope it doesn't start a rash of little girls getting bonked with buckeyes.
Great article. I grew up in a neighbourhood lined with horse chestnuts - and could never figure out why people sang about "roasting chestnuts on an open fire" - everyone knew the chestnuts were poisonous. lol Later, as an adult I found out that the edible chestnuts came from a different tree.
Amy, That was funny!
; )
i try to amuse in my brief moments here these days...
I assumed you were fully dressed!
that would be less amusing though...
actually, i am more of a boxers kind of girl.
Ali was was my favorite.
Mine, too.
He was the greatest!
Isn't wrestling just choreographed slam dancing?
I wear Victor's Secret
Of course you do, Dave47 :-)
Mohamad Ali was (is) a boxer, not a wrestler. I think.
I'm sure! Though he did 'fight' a wrestler one time and did pattern part of his persona on 'Gorgeous George'.
victor/victoria's secret boxers?
Wow - you're hooked on Julie Andrews, aren't you Amy?!!
I heard that JA's voice will never be the same since that Dr. messed up her throat surgery a while back.
Victor may have to do "voice overs" for her when she does another musical...
Julie Andrews is doing a musical on Victor's life? He better hurry up and write his book first!
It's a musical about a guy writing a book for a musical by Julie Andrews.
THAT should be a good read
