I've come to the conclusion that Victor should write a book and include all his quips, quotes, scattelogical ramblings, desultory humor, and analologies. Maybe Dave could help, or be the ghost writer, seeing as he "invented" Victor.
Victor Should Write a Book
Ha ha - just saw this now! That darn thread watcher makes me forget to check the Forum page. Thanks Sue. Let's not give Dave too much credit - I existed long before he or DG did! I prefer to remain 'real-time' and 'fresh', in both senses of that word.
I have the same "problem" with the Thread Watcher vs. Forum!
I wanted to be the ghost rider.
Not sure I want you riding me, Al.
Either way I'm not walking.

Okay, maybe we should make a commercial instead:
5 potted plants from the nursery . . . $65
A trip to the hardware store for garden tools, hoses, and gloves . . . $90
Seeds and bulbs ordered from catalogs . . . $5,000
A visit to the NorthEast Forum - PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!
How about Victor writing a book or set of encyclopedias (boy that's a word from the past) containing all of his gardening knowledge, plant knowledge, and places to buy them from. Eleanor
I miss a lot of the birthday threads because I have so many threads to watch, I too forget to check the forum. It took me a long time to even realize that new threads were there.
How about a virtual book, Victor? Writing it would be easy on the fingers!
How about a telepathic one. Just concentrate and you'll know what I'm thinking on any subject at any time.
Watch the daily articles tomorrow, everyone!
AYC:
Did you write an article?
Maybe - but look at who wrote today's article on Helleborus!
I see it! I see it!
Gosh. I even read it and left a comment.
Great article!!
Thank you Cat and Candyce!
O, brother, are we supposed to bow down and kiss your feet now, Victor? LOL!
Any chance you'd be bringing stinking hellabores to a RU? I have always wanted some.
Optional. Thanks.
Only if he has washed them recently - puh-lease!!!
Cat - I have yet to try my hand and propagating them yet. The ones that are supposed to set seeds have not so far. Hopefully!
I wash my feet for the Holidays - or after stepping on stinking hellebores.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. (sad face) Some of my white ones made seeds last year and I just sprinkled them around - but no seedlings yet. Guess I'll just have to buy the stinking hellebore if I want it that bad.
It IS a beautiful plant.
Well they are supposed to be dependable re-seeders so maybe it just takes time. Mine are not that old. They are more short-lived than other hellebores - probably why they need to seed more.
It could be very interesting or even dangerous if we could tell what Victor was thinking!! Eleanor
I concur - I think Victor should write a very witty gardening book. Harper could probably illustrate it. and pirl could edit for spelling.
'Cat and I could grade it!
And I could read it!! Eleanor
Exactly! Get cracking at that keyboard, Victor!
Michaela - you didn't even comment on my article!
Oh gosh can you only imagine if Victor wrote a book!!!! Eeeeks!!! That scares me a bit hehehe.
I haven't read your article - I still have 3 more term papers to mark plus 18 exams, a whole bunch of in-class assignments, on-line assigments, plus final exams to generate, more term papers coming and final exams to grade.
I figure I can read your article . . . uh. . . . Dec. 16. lol.
I really will try to remember to read it when I get a chance.
No sense of priorities!
hmmmmmm . . . . you may have a point there!
What article?? I'm sure I missed something somewhere, so give me a clue!! Eleanor
I wrote one of today's articles - the one on Hellebores.

Awesome!! At first I looked at it and thought, that's not you but then realized that must be your name - duh!! I posted a while ago that I should shut off the computer and go to bed but I haven't got there yet!! I'm leaving now, really!! And to all a good night!! Eleanor
Thank you!
Okay - I quickly read your article. I note that it is well organized, with complete sentences, and you even give your references.
What I want to know is - do you ever give hellebores? Mine died last spring. :-)
You sound surprised!
The answer to number two is no. Still expanding my use of them. Maybe at some point - provided you are well organized and use complete sentences, with no spelling errors, when you ask me!
Hey! You promised me first dibs, Victor.
