Hillsborough , NC(Zone 7a)

Oh Man, why do you do this to me at breakfast time? Especially as I haven't got time for breakfast this morning before work because I am playing on the computer!

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

Maybe the lady that brought you Thanksgiving dinner will be generous today.

Hillsborough , NC(Zone 7a)

No suck luck, she is off island, but Frank is off to the "beach" this morning and sometimes he will stop at a cinamon bun place and bring one in for me. We know the young lady who works at the store and she knows it's heavy on the syrup when its for me!

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

You must be one of the few with overtime metabolism. Mine died a few years ago. Good for you. Let us know Frank's report of the beach conditions.

Hillsborough , NC(Zone 7a)

I might see him unless Whiskers or Curly gets him first.

I am beginning to wonder if I will ever see it again, those hot air balloons are full of tourists coming in from the mountains ...happens every Christmas, the sky has looked likwe this almost every day for weeks ...it is thick with humidity 97% ...84% at the moment (Sunday morning at 8am)
Pepper that snow scene is very inviting ...but I know looks are different from reality.
Enjoy all that food everyone! every time I come back you are all talking food ...
Have fun everyone!

Well it will taste like chicken to them too!!!LOL

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

That snow was inviting last year. lol. If I remember correctly we had 6-12 inches of it. Now we have maybe an inch left and it is covered in ice. Not so inviting.

This was also last year. It iced up even more in a few days. It was neat to see.

Cool flower!! But I couldn't have that in my yard. It's purple and I have too much purpl right now. Trying to limit that color. lol

I think gardeners enjoy life and all things pleasurable don't you?
as Aunty Mame once said "Life is a Banquet and some poor suckers are starving to death!" it is one of my favourite sayings ...
so as she also said "Live ...Live ....Live!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I am gonna go live in the kitchen for a moment so I can steal some chicken. I can smell it clear in here and it's driving me nuts!! LOL

LOL!! So are you mentioning oatmeal raisin cookies!!

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

It is super hot here today. Just came in and sent DH out to spread Over and Out. Don't use bug killer because it does not discriminate but we are inundated with ants. Supposed to get cold next week and I have been trying to cover some of the tropicals that are in ground. Just stepped in more ants and my foot is a mess. These are small black/red and don't make a mound. Sting just like a fire ant. Have used everything I could find and they just move. Nothing has stopped them yet. Hope this does. No way to even tell they are there until your foot starts stinging. First time we have ever been bothered.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Hmm,well seems like it's time to invest in a ant eater!!!!

Chris, get some alcohol on those bites right away!!!
Have you tried the powder Borax???
They say a ant won't cross over that!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

Boy have you guys been busy! haha I slept in late then we had bacon and egg sandwiches for a late lunch. DS put in a roast with potatoes and carrots! Smells so goooood! I'll need to go check on it and probably go out and water the garden. Everything is soooo dry. It is so pretty outside....sunny.....77deg F 74% humidity.
Soooooooo beautifuly!

TM I like your little birdie....maybe if I got some kind of birdie my Bird of Paradise would get the idea and get on the ball and bloom!!!!!

Did someone mention Clowns? Actually we used to be semi-professional clowns. We belonged to the clown alley, and did company picnics, grand openings, birthday parties, you name it. I don't have pic on this computer. Will have to rescan some.

I still have my suit and beautiful clown shoes, just not able to do all of that anymore. It would take two hours just to do our makeup each. It was so much fun! It was so hard to give up when I got sick and retired. Sometimes I just get things out and look at them.

Most of our pictures still hang on the wall in the kids Playroom. We even had Tshirts with our Clown pictures on them. We did it for about 10 years.

We also went to the hospitals and visited children both here in town and I volunteered at Herman Hospital in Houston. Did a gig at the Zoo once for the Save the Tiger Foundation, even have a little clown music box with "Bring in the Clowns" and a clown collection, that is now packed away. ......lots of great times!!!!!!!!!

Got to go water the garden!!! See y'all later!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

I'll say you slept in Late already sunday,Somwhere!!!!LOL
Watering hey!!!
Raining everywhere but there!!!!
Gotta love a clown!!!!!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

It was supposed to rain tomorrow, but it changed it's mind. Guess it didn't have much left after dumping it on the islands and the West Coast! It's only 10% for tomorrow and 20% for the next two days, so had to give everything a drink of water. Especially the Brugs, they were really droopy! Now they are happy, and I'm droopy! hahaha Unfortunately, it doesn't take much to wear me down.

That roast is smelling better and better! Won't be much longer now! Yum Yum!!!

Yep, we loved being clowns! It was so much fun! We continued going to the Clown Alley as long as I could....DS was working late on the night we had meetings, and I can't see to drive in the dark, so had to give that up! They are a great bunch of people....much like gardeners! Very friendly and giving! Definately loved them!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Tman, the chicken and noodles was gooooooooooooood.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Any left overs!!!!!!!
