I remember growing up and helping my mum making those noodles, make up the dough, flour being throwed everywhere, then rolling it up like a snake then cutting half inch slices and unrolling them, then taking them, heating up the chicccken broth and gently dropping the noodles in the broth ! Wow now that brings back some memories with a smile!!!!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

Rain lilies. Brought them over from Mom's, now just got to decide where to put them! Had to get them in soil until I make that decision. Still not sure yet.

Night Don-boy!!!!!

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Rain lillies to help make it rain?

I need some sun lillies!!!LOL

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

No silly! When it rains they bloom! But I think they have to get reestablished first. They had really been cut back by her lawn service. Now the foliage is about 5"-6" high. They will get much taller, so probably won't bloom again until next spring.
They have a midsize pink flower on them! They are pretty!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

No leftovers here. lol.

Heavenscape, I think the brand is Ramen. It is in a clear bag with green label on the front. The noodles are really thick and straight mostly. Pretty good stuff.

Bushland, TX(Zone 6a)

Nope reams!!! Best there is!
That's alright just got back from the store and bought some to make some this week, plus bought the mannings chili ,going to make my favorite chili this week as well, but tonite I ordered double meat Pizza from pizza hut, waiting on delivery, ought to be any minute!!!

West Bay, Cayman Islands(Zone 11)

I dont belong on this thread but thought I would say hey....you pizza eaters in cold weather....we just got the T-bones off the grille, spaghettie squash, green beans....saffron rice with scotch bonnet peppers.....have to mention this...not sure how many of you out there eat locally raised hooved beasts...most of you have a market of some kind right down the road and can by beef all packaged up pretty and works great on the grille....

we bought 5 steaks and a 5 pound roast off a locally grown cow butchered yesterday morning...the beef was delivered to my workplace in the morning yesterday and after marinating all day today in Katie's special stuff, they were absolutely great! No preservatives, no hormones, no nothin....just a big juicy hunk of artery clogging steak with some great sides!!! Better than pizza tonight....forgot to mention, a large pizza hut pizza in Cayman is almost 40 US dollars....my ten pounds of local beef was 50....go figure....sorry to invade the thread...gone now....you know where to find me.....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Come back Caribblue!! What are the ingredients in your marinade! FIL would raise his own "hoove" meat.
I love saffron rice! We met a Jamaican lady at an Asian grocery checkout, talking of scotch bonnets and mangos in curries! Pass down some recipes, TMan won't mind!!

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Fluffy. LOL. I'll have to use that term at work when someone complains about their weight.

Desoto, TX(Zone 8a)

It sounds so much better than that other word. Besides great grandmothers are supposed to be fluffy.

Pepper...I left my old avocado GE fridge to my ex :=D! It still runs as far as I know.
I love antiques. I wish I could find an old, old woodstove.

Jeanne, beautiful plants on your blog - what a wonderful collection of daylilies! Fancy you being a professional clown, the talent we have on this forum is incredible, other people's lives are so much more interesting than my own! I had thought TM was our much loved clown!
Trying desperately to catch up on all the stuff I missed - isn't Shari going to have a lot of reading to do!

Anyone know this vine - we call it Prince kuhio - impomea horsefalliae, I believe. Common as muck round here, but rather pretty until it gets out of hand. I believe it came from the West Indies originally, so possibly John and JP know it well. Our Kuhio apparently doesn't set seed here in Hawaii, all plants are from cuttings - has anyone ever seen seed? Blooms all winter for us. It is my mothers goal in life to keep this vine under control. LOL!
