Sure, scoop me up a small bowl TM!

Play hookey, and tropical gardening in the greenhouse!
I'm going to pass tonight on the ice cream, TM. Frank lost a serious bet today and it has cost him a pound of Sees chocolates, my two favorites orange creams and raspberry creams. Planning on taking the box to bed with me, trouble is I can only manage three before I feel rather sick! But what a way to go!
LOL! Jeanne!
My what a pretty weed vine, wonder why it won't set seed???
Tell frank to go double or nothing, get them back!
Too many chocolate lovers on this forum!!!! LOL
No idea, maybe Carol knows. Probably a good thing though, vines can be holy terrors here...
Beautiful colour there Jennie. I wish the kudzus around here have lovely blooms like that. TMan, post a pic of your White.
Catch up with y'all tomorrow...nite Christi, Jennie, Jeanne, Tman and of course, vip Patti.
Your bride is beautiful, Don. How did you get so lucky? If you go to the Antiques & Collectibles Forum, you will find lots of my junk.
Not even a good sample because I have given a lot of it to the kids, nieces, nephews, sister, packed it away, sold it. Just can't seem to pass up *good stuff*. Hope you are really enjoying your time-off, Don, especially with the weather so awful.
I go to bed too early. All the fun happens late in my neighborhood.
I think she felt sorry for me!!!LOL
I'd better take a look!
Its' coming Tulsa has the ice now!
That's where my son lives. Haven't been able to get him on his cell. They are building a new barn. Hope it is far enough along for the horses.
Boy I do too!
23* here Brrr
Believe it or not, it's in the 70's here!!! Had a lucky day yesterday, got about 41 packages of bulbs for a quarter each. The manager said the weather's too warm in the South now, so Lowe's had to get rid of them! Guess, I should prechill them.
Christi, I used to collect Imaris, white Wedgewood ware and Waterford crystal decanters. All destroyed due to my once upon a time, terrible temper! Hey Don, you Irish are not the only one afflicted with that!!! Now, I collect Boucher. Easier to manage, less space, no dusting!
Don, the white sewing machine please :P I would love to have an old Singer featherweight with perfect 1/4 inch seams. Too expensive, as serious quilters seek them.
Nice meeting you Patti! Nah, she hasn't felt sorry for you Don. She's smart, and chose you because she sees a wonderful husband, friend and mentor in you! That comic part of you is just added bonus, right Patti? Or is it a liability? Lol!!!!
Stay warm my wonderful friends!
LOL!
I think she just likes to pester me to death!!!LOL
Patti's step father was a singer salesman during the 40's and 50's,in fact if you remeber going to the movie theaters, they use to show a little girl sewing on one of these sewing machines,it was Patti, about 6 or 7 yrs old!!!
Yep I married a star!!!
Her real dad was killed in Okinawa,1944.
Forgot to mention, patti aslso has a collection of sewing machines, well over a dozen!!!
Oooh ain't she a beauty! Were there any paper ads with Patti in it?? I'd love to browse over her collection! I learnt to sew with my grandmother's old Singer. We would sit on the floor crosslegged!
Sorry about your Dad, Patti. My grandfather was deported to Indonesia as a POW by the Japanese. Family had no news from him for 5 years. One day after Grandma remarried, he returned to Singapore. War has more losses than profits.
Don, as Chrissy suggested, start another thread. It's fun to play hookey here!!
I started another thread last nite hookey 2.
No she has no papers or magazine, when her mother divorced him, early 50's he took it all with him,as it did belong to singerscorp.
He's dead now,I think late 60's.
Pep and Jaye, had some good eatin tonite,my version of chickeen noodles.
Boil the chicken, til done, pull the meat from the bones, mix your swanson chicken broth, along with cream of celery, mini carrots, and the frozen ream noodles, cook until noodles are done, mashed potatoes and spoon the chicken noodles over the mash potatoes, salt and pepper, and pig out!!!!! LOL
Send some over!
Looks good to me! Will have to try it sometime!
Drats TMan!! Here I am eating lentil and bean curry, straight out of a can, and you have to show off your beautimous chicken noodle dish!!!
I love to make chicken and dumplings, but not the Carolinian style. More like with brown gravy (Cajun style) with seasoned dumplings. Add parsley to the dough before cutting out.
At my request, the chef prepared goulash. I'm so easy. Ground beef, macaroni, tomatoes, onions, garlic, s&p...little grated cheddar on the top. Now he would much prefer something very sophisticated but it is a cold dreary night and comfort food it is. Gotta work tomorrow. See ya later guys.
Marcus has already lost power in Tulsa, hope all is ok with you Tman and Pepper. No power, no heat.
Jaye, this is like grandmas food that cures anything type food,if your tummy's happy your happy!!!!! LOL
T77 you won't regret it,best ever!
Goulash,is great food also,I use the big elbow macaroni,in mine.along with the stew tomatoes, and a small can of Rotels tomato sauce with chili peppers, kind of the mex tex taste!
Next time dice some red sweet onions also ,yep the cheese on top!!!!
Work, a four letter word that mess up our fun!!
Kel much prefer big elbow macaronis in soups too. More hearty. I like my goulash with sliced steak and yes to Rotel. Urgghhhhh TMan....on cheese....but I cheat with sour cream:((
Okay, no more fun...work tomorrow too. Be safe Pepper and TMan.
Diet cheese of course!!!!LOL
Break in the weather at the moment, don't hear anything falling anyway!
Don't work too hard!!!!
But give them there monies worth!!!
Diet cheese?? You got to be kidding right?
Sad thing is, we work for ourselves, so we can't play hookey :-P
Goat cheese!!!!LOL
Thats when I'd play hookey for sure!!!
Just heard on Jon Anderson.600,000 people in the central plains without electricity!
Oklahoma.Kansas and Missouri,Nebraska and Iowa.
Yes, it's on Yahoo news too. Hope it won't affect you.
I tried goat cheese..prefer soy cheese! Lol! Ok..this is it...bedtime!
sweet dreams my friend!
Those poor people and in the cold too...
No diet cheese please! Either the Real Thing, or none, Thank You!
Sorry to hear all of those people without power...and cold!!!!! Brrrrr!!!!!!
Glad you and Pep are OK TM!!!!!
LOL!
I'm with you!!!
Diet cheese!!! Just trying to get one over Jaye!!!LOL
Probably catch heck tomorrow!!!LOL
She is very carefull since her surgery....does she know that you had surgery also?
I only have one 100% blockage....but mine is on the right side, and the Good Lord allowed my body to make it's own bypass, so I have blood making a detour through all that mess! It must be hereditary as my Mom has exactly the same problem. They found hers over twenty years ago. She takes meds but has done just fine....no surgery needed! Yeah! I do take meds also, and I try not to eat too many fried foods, and when I do, they make me sick.....that shrimp the other night just did not agree with me, so I try to stay away from fried foods!!!!!
Thinking of going "Low Carbs" after the first of the year. I did really well on that for several years, years ago. Felt really well on it, so we'll see.
Guess I'd better call it a night...got lots of errands to do tomorrow.
Night Don-boy!!!!! Say HI to the MRS!!!!!
(Actually it's morning already!!!!!!!!)
Yes Jaye knows, thats why I tease her about the kinds of foods I eat,not to be mean or anything, just to let her know DR said do everything in moderation, that is was okay every once in a while eat the foods you crave, then get it out of your system and back on the right kinds of food.
I will night!
Hello, hello, hello....is anybody out there??
Pep, Don, BHM, Chrissy....say you all are alright.
HI,
So far just rain for the temps here are 33*,my bamboo was covered so thick in ice lot of those 30ft tall snapped in half, some are bent over the driveway and others laying on the roof of the sunroom, the lines were covered in ice,and are starting to melt a little, lucky there is not much wind.
But when the temps drop later this afternoon, not going to look so good with all the water turning back into ice again.
Please, make sure you both stay safe, walk safe and for heavens' sake, remember to "insulate" yourselves!! We can always replant..
Weather channel says it's heading more towards the east. If it does, we will be getting torrential downpours. Kel is asked to make sure his parents and our generators filled up.
Don't mean to fuss, you both know what to do. Can't help but want to see more of you both around!
Thanks
We will be safe,at least you may get the rain and not the cold, for you don't need the ice!!!!
Dying of heat in Dallas...high yesterday in the 40's, today it is in the upper 70's and should drop to 40's again tomorrow. The humidity is awful and the fog is thick. Just glad we don't have the ice. Talked to DS in Tulsa, no power since yesterday morning and still getting ice. All electric house...can't cook, no hot water, not heat. Only wood fireplace and we all know those are for looks.
My were just 6 hours apart,and 45 * different,just doesn't seem right!
Just getting rain here.one minute downpour, then back to sprinkles, doing this back and fourth all day.
We can adapt..but the poor butterflies. Seen them around and a few birds looking for food. Y'all stay safe.
