Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - User's Guide

I have had 2 calls from survey people and a couple from candidates recorded messages. The caller ID was PRIVATE CALLER.

Heck "IF" it was Hillery I would invite her over. That would stir up the neighborhood. lol

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's funny, Sherrie. Yeah, this is prime time for you guys in NH and IA.

Those camera people would be lurking all over. The paprazzi's (sp). Oh -then you got the undercover agents. eekks - the laundry would be gone through. Our dogs would be checked for fleas. Scratch that idea.

Here is another one. Some of you can remember my comp got fried a couple of months back, so I got a new one. I normally like to surf around with MSIE. For some reason it is lolly gagging. So I shut it down and started to surf with FireFox. I come to the NE Forum and every topic is read. No new post. How the heck can that happen when I have not used FireFox in the last 4 weeks? That would mean that browsing history is transfered from one program to another?

OK - enuff of that. I then go to the davesgarden.com/community/forums/ page and like 4 of the region forums don't have a green star anymore.

Pirl and Candyce, stay tuned for MY article about cranberries - especially cranberry sauce - Dec. 15! I could live off cranberry sauce -- in fact I generally do, the week after Thanksgiving. I miss you guys... my Dad has moved to Newton (Boston suburb) which is taking up a lot of time. xxxxx, Carrie

Browsing history - in your case specifically, cookies are not transferred from one PC to another.

Cookies on this thread too! great!

How many of you have your Christmas Trees and/or decorations up ?
I was at Lowes today and they have purple, gold, and a freaky blue, glittered Poinsettia's...they're hideous. The fake ones look better.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

We have our tree cut wed (last), picked up Sat. now soaking in a bucket of water (formerly water, now ice). No decorations. JD, everything Christmas in California is tacky anyway, isn't it? Please correct me if I'm wrong. x, C

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

carrie...yes, SOME of the Xmas stuff here is pretty bad...like the above mentioned poinsettias, however, "tacky" has no geographical boundaries.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Many of our northern friends think the same stereotype about Fla. having only tacky decorations, but anyone looking at KatG's decorations can see how incorrect that is! JD said it.......tacky has no boundaries! But neither does classy!

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Our decorations have been retrieved from the attic and have been sitting in the dining room for about a week. We still haven't begun to decorate. Oh! Wait! DSIL stapled a string of blinking musical lights up in the kitchen! (Don't tell him, but I unplug them and keep them unplugged until just before he gets home from work!)

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

(Candyce, I would too!) (xx, C)

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

No decorating here yet either. Which is surprising because my DW lives for Christmas (but the allergies have her down)

Happy Hannukah for all participating! .

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Welcome back, Dave. Busy at work? What is your DW allergic to at this time of year?

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

probably the high cost of Christmas !

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Mold, I think the leaves get to her.

Yeah, busy at work. I hope things slow down from here to New Year's day.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

No , Jasper. I can assure you she is unaffect by the high cost!

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

must be nice !

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Not for me!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Tell her credit cards harbor mold spores.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I KNEW that, Victor!

This whole place has been dead for hours. The mold must be growning.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Sorry I've been rather preoccupied with marking - but for Watercan2 I thought the obvious name was:

H2Ocan2

Can someone tell me ....
Why is the cost of a set of gentleman's long-johns less than half the price of a set of ladies' long-johns?

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

We don't need the potty flap? ;^)

Similarly disposable razors for men used to cost much more than the ones for women. I was secure enough to save money and shave with a pink razor. Can you just wear men's ljs?

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I hear you, Dave. And, I do.

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Dave...don't even THINK about the women's pajamas thing...

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Silky pink?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Or do you prefer Lavender darling?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - who's going to know if they're men's or women's ? Personally, I like something soft and supple.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Women are supposedly most attractive in peach pajamas. I have no idea who did the study.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Probably because it's close to skin color! And that brings me to my favorite...

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

...pair of fuzzy peach slippers ?

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Victor - you're getting into dangerous territory!

JD - I'd never tell anyone about your peach fuzzy slippers. Your secret is safe with me.

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

pirl...but YOU sent them to me...and besides, they're the wrong size...I wear a 13...not a 10. I made ear muffs out of them instead.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Your mother would have approved of keeping your ears warm, I'm sure.

PJ's Nah - women wore these things in the past.

Not bad - that was it right?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No - that's just the top.
