My DGD is quite a Pats fan, so she's hoping that the snow doesn't halt the game today.
Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - User's Guide
Never seen snow stop a game - only lightning can stop them I think.
Makes me so glad I'm not a pro football player.
Candyce, we fly free stand-by on jetBlue. So we can't, for instance, go to Florida in December. We can go in August, September and sometimes October or November, depending always, on what everyone else is doing. All the "high seasons" we can't go.

Game over, not such a big win, but a win.
Carriemont, During half time I came across "High Risk" I will toot the horn. Everyone, take a gander. It is good. Patti

OMG was I on overload today. The Steeler game wasn't on TV, and because of the weather we didn't go to our usual Steeler bar where 98% of the TV's have the Steeler game on. We went to the local sports bar and I was watching 4 games. Steelers, Green Bay, Buffalo and the Patriots. I was doing 360's in my chair. 2 out of 4 games came out in my favor.
Don't bet against Green Bay now!
You can root for Philly to win - that would be great.
Wow - you really are a fan, Deb! Can you convince my wife?!
I was rooting for Green Bay, but I also have been rooting for Dallas - sorry, I guess that is wrong. I had to root for Buffalo today, and that was a first. It has only been the last couple years I have really been interested, don't know how I became a fan. DH says I watch more than him. The Jets gave NE a bit of a run today.
Jets blew so many chances. That's why they've only won three games.
Can't believe Miami won.
I enjoyed them enjoying their win!
I missed that, because our network cut away to show another game.
I know we have all wondered about Santa, but never Mr. 47!

OMG, I got this in an email today:
Pogo Moose Incident - Fairbanks , Alaska
"They were laying new power cables which were strung on the ground for miles. The moose are rutting right now and very agitated.
He was thrashing around and got his antlers stuck in the cables. When the men (miles away) began pulling the lines up with their big equipment, the moose went up with them. They noticed excess tension in the lines and went searching for the problem.
He was still alive when they lowered him to the ground. He was a huge 60 inch bull and slightly peeved!"
OMG - the poor moose!
That story has floated around a while, Deb. It happened a few years ago. It does have a sad ending. Here's the scoop:
http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/poormoose.asp
I don't want to read a sad ending, dare I look?
I looked. :-(
Bummer, isn't it? I really like moose. I think they prove God has a sense of humor.
I think they're beautiful!
I love the young ones. And of course, they always remind me of Bullwinkle!
When I first opened the email, wondered how the antlers and or a portion of his head didn't get ripped off. I hope he didn't suffer too long.
Must stop playing, must start dinner...
Well, too bad about the ending for that moose. (seriously not fair to that poor creature) But anybody remember fractured fairytales re; bullwinkle. Those were too funny.
"Hey Rockie...Watch me pull a rabbit outta my hat"
Hey JD, is that the Soprano accent going on with Bullwinkle? lol
No...but, that was pretty good !
He also used to say, "Eeeny meeny Chili Beanny...the speerits are about to speak" when he was introducing the teasers for the next episode.
In the 4th grade, I wanted a Rockie and Bullwinkle lunch box in the worst way...but my mom made me keep using the old Alvin and the Chipmunks one...because it was "still perfectly good'. Now go on.
Bullwinkle was real cool in my book. One of my favorites.
Guess it's time for a new one. This thread has more lives that Freddy Kruger.

Hey Moose are NO fun when you come head to head with them. Yes you must be careful but trust me their shoulders only come to the size of your window on your mini van...scary stuff! I would NEVER want to see a MOOSE on the highway!!! I have known way too many people who have been killed driving on the highway at dusk. Scary stuff!
Oh yeah. I drive very carefully when I see those signs ... "Moose Crossing next 10 miles"!
How do they learn to read?
Watching Bullwinkle, of course.
There used to be a bar here called "Barwinkles"...3 guesses who their mascot was !
Umh...Just let me look into my magic hat....
Ooops, wrong hat!
Nothing up my sleeve...
