Time for a pup-date

Lexington, VA(Zone 6a)

Wrightie, congratulations! Zeb has matured into one fine "pup" :)

Sally, I think I need to hire Addy - could use some of that double digging here!

Ruby, I can't believe that Buddy would hurt anyone, what a cutie :)

My turn! I haven't taken any pictures of Phoebe recently - I wanted to wait until after she had a lost a little of the weight she gained from being on the d#%&*! Prednisone all summer :( I'm happy to report though that she's actually lost 7 lbs (about 10+ more to go) and finally doesn't have a "table top" back, which is how the vet described it! She is basically back to normal and is loving this cooler weather - running through the fields is giving her the exercise she needs to shed those pounds! I don't think I've posted this photo before? Taken at ArborFest recently. We were fortunate enough to have our booth right next to a bench in the shade where Phoebe could stay with us all weekend. To our surprise, they had hired this gentleman to play on Saturday and Phoebe kept him company :)

Here's one I took a couple of months ago - before she got her brushing to remove all the burrs from romping in the field! It's a good thing she doesn't mind being brushed, although she tends to think it's a game and that I'm playing with her - needless to say I have my hands full trying to get her to "settle" :)

Join the club for having a dog that thinks a brush or comb means play time. The two youngest dogs lay perfectly still and roll over on cue and are a delight to groom. The elder dog Lucky is another story. He becomes hyper whenever I touch the comb. He is about eleven years old and I cannot remember a time that we had been able to get him completely brushed during one setting. He wears me out when trying to get him to cooperate.

I had to snicker when you mentioned that you didn't want to take pictures of Phoebe until she sheds some pounds. Poor girl wouldn't care one way or the other. How cute of you to spare her feelings though.

Happy Thursday to all.
