omg judy lol... hr puffinstuff, life stopped ticking every week for us to watch that show i remember my sister had the BIGGEST crush on jack wild oh it was awfuly sick lol forgot all about that till you mentioned it.

How funny is that..just got back from lunch .. one more hour to go then Paul said to go enjoy the evening of trick/or/treat...so 3:30 I'm off..that way I should get home at the normal time we usually finish our day..what a treat....told me he wasn't sure he'd be in tomorrow but wouldn't be on Friday, girls looked at me so I said, "are we" he said "as of today, no, but he'd see how tomorrow goes..something might be needed to be done"..so let's hope not...

Greg was in the city today, dropped in to say hi..looked tired..said he picked up the pop machine and took it to school for Kyle..said I couldn't keep my eyes open due to their playing 'make a costume'..so nice when he drops in..

well maybe next year i can afford some decorations to encourage them all to come.

glad the packages arrived safe, seed yours was posted yesterday. seems they are taking around a week to ten days so let the kids know its on its way!

gosh im tired, been a long day yesterday. didnt get home till 9pm! rehersal went well tho.

whilst i was there his wife showed me some scrapbooking she does and has a machine called a shuttlebug. it was really cool! my daughter talks about it all the time as she loves to scrapbook. I thought it would make a great gift for her! umm not this year! they are sooooo expensive out here!! have you guys seen them? do you know what i am talking about? and you can get all kinds of die's for them and such. we always have to pay over the top for stuff from the USA... i think thats where it comes from. so let me know if any of you see one on sale and maybe we can arrange to send it and i can arrange payment or something....just a thought.

the big day tomorrow so will post tomorrow night hopefully with an outcome.
have work and then sign language class. am teaching some people at work. used to teach it years ago when working with the deaf...another long day...

Halloween is almost over...just a few stragglers...mostly the teens, at least this year they've dressed themselves in costumes..so, that's ok..

Thank goodness for Sailor, I've fallen asleep several times, she barks when someone comes to the door..ok Betty wakie/wakie...

Liz, I'm looking around at all the halloween decorations and thinking, ok, leave it for Friday..put it all into storage...I can't imagine where you would start...hmmm...will DH help you out???sure hope so...

So, will leave the lights glowing for another hr. and then it's off to bed I go...will talk to you all tomorrow...

Best..watching all the little ones, would say I've had about 60, that's 1/2 of what I usually get...lots of pop and chocolate left over..oh my, what shall I do with it....
Kyle won best original costume at school, he was very proud !!!!

Worse...got a sad e-mail..not sure who it is from..checking a few posibilities..want to make sure it's not spam before I answer it...feel bad, sounds like someone needs support, compassion and love so hopefully I'll find out who???

What did I learn today...that even thought it's a work day, you can make fun of it from the start in the morning till you leave for the day...today was just one of those 'extremely good days'....

Well I hope everyone's day was awsomly fun...my kids are done and making trades...Hey Liz we could probably re-fill your candy barrel! LOL off for dinner at the moment.

Seedtosser we both have red houses now. We haven't done the white trim yet but the red is done. I like it but I think flat would have been better like yours. satin is too shiny.

I don't know if I have any time to make a sleigh guys. Too much going on and too much company coming. I wish though.

Happy Halloween all you Ghouls! It is over for another year and the next stop is Thanksgiving and then before you know, Christmas! LESS THEN TWO MONTHS!!! UGH! ;-)

Anyway, the kids had a fun time trick or treating. Walker was a ganster and Savannah was a bumble bee (with an attitude!). Tons of kids in our neighborhood plus since we are on the county line, we get a tons of people from the other county since it is very rural. The rule of thumb (I think) is if your front porch light is off, then you don't give out candy. Well, at 8:15pm, we turned off all the decorative lights and shut everything down and would you believe a group rang out doorbell at almost 9:00pm!! I could not believe that parents would have their kids out that late! So mine are asleep now and hopefully no tummy aches will arise!

So Laura, I hope everything is going great for you down there right now. I am saying a quick prayer for ya! The picture below is just for you Laura. The kids are all dressed up for Halloween and they have a message for you...... You can't see Savannah neck but she's wearing your gift!!!

Dawn, Isn't it a great sight to see coming home though...come to love it myself. Do you have a wooden house? I keep saying we are going to be the little red house in the area. Huge brick homes...like mansions going up all arounds us. Gorgeous though, I really enjoy the archetecture of buildings and we have quite the array going on here.

Best: Today, I was chatting with a street vendor, whom I visit frequently...anyway she is out in all the elements day after day, to day while visiting here came this little bitty spider man! I said oh my look we have a little spider man here...when Linda looked, her face lit up with such a delightful smile and sparkling eyes, She squeeled oh it's MY spider man!! here it was her grandson coming to show grandma at work his outfit! Made my day to see such joy.

Worst: Ate way too much junk.

Learned: Well, it' is really fun to be a kid on a day like today!

In October 2007, over a dozen wildfires across Southern California, United States forced the evacuation of thousands of residents. This evacuation comes almost four years to the day after the Cedar Fire of 2003.
At least one person has been reported dead.
Fires burned in Malibu , Lake Arrowhead , Irvine , San Diego , and many other places. California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency in Los Angeles , Orange , Poway, Riverside , San Bernardino , San Diego , Santa Barbara , and Ventura counties as a result.
This is the worst case of wildfires Southern California has ever had.

Pray for all the people that have lost their homes.
Pray these fires die down soon.
Pray for the firefighters and their safety.

AWESOME costumes Betty!

HI Liz - we crossed. yes, Murphy joined us although his costume didn't. He was quite happy to trail behind the kids and pick up any dropped candy or even the sweet smelling wrappers! All in all, he was very well behaved and got lots of lovin from everyone! He slept good last night! I didn't hear him move in his crate!

Had fun last night..got a goodie bag of treats to bring home.
I dressed up as a leopard to amuse the girls. I had a turn giving out the candy.
It was all quiet by 8:30 pm. I came home and watched Private Practice.

Glad you all had fun.

Betty..wonderful that Kyle won the costume contest. It was probably the least expensive to make too.

2 dilema's today...

#1..did final touches on Victorian Santa here in office and is ready to post..not sure but think it was Araness...I've d-mailed her numerous times to say hello, hoping all is well but no answer...could try to go back to previous threads, but so many and so long...perhaps she's moved..not sure?? what do you think I should do...keep it until next we hear from her to confirm address???

#2...not a good one...my DS's son is prone as is she with depression..anyway, last year he separated from his wife but sees the 2 children each and every week, usually most weekends..he was unemployed for some time but is now working night shift..things have gone from bad to worse this past year..not that he shouldn't take at least 1/2 of the blame...anyway, my sister has a beautiful home, one could call it a mansion, so he over the past 6 months has moved into her basement..my sister (though I love her) has more feelings for dogs than humans..thus, fight/fight/fight...to make a long long story shorter...last night he had his drivers license suspended for driving 50KL over the speed limit..new law in Ontario..license is taken away and car impounded for 7 days with $5K fine I believe...anyway home he comes, so depressed, told her to go to bed as he was going out to HANG himself...hello??? major stress..she spent all night watching over him .. she just is not sure what to do...my sons are his age, they once were very very close..so I took it upon myself to telephone Jeff this morning to let him know that although they haven't recently been close (Jeff loaned Brian mega $$$ and then Brian avoids him like the plague because he hasn't the money to pay him back) I told Jeff to do or not do something or not anything..just so he knows that this issue exists...we had a very good friend of ours who had their son hang himself at same age as my boys recently, so this is fresh on everyones minds that these things do exist....how tragic...so, now I'm sitting here debating wether or not I should also call Greg..don't want to be seen as a 'gossiper' but at same time, if anything could have been done, don't want to think I didn't take the opportunity to do so...life sucks sometimes doesn't it friends...

Murphy was supposed to be Shrek but he made the brilliant discovery that he was wearing something and decided he's rather eat it so he had to dress up as "streaker" instead - no costume!

I am offering up prayers for your DS...Strength and indurance to fight a battle such as this...Bells and whistles going off in my head again.
As for your telling Gregg, I thing that you should. This situation is as a family and by you all knowing what is going on, together you will support eachother through all of the unraveling of threads...This young man through depression and this a
call for help so Loud and Clear. No matter what underlying past differences can be resolved and he maybe just need to know that people care for him.
Get him to a doctor is my first thought and medicine...But most of all if you care for him Tell him.

Hello all, yes it is a difficult time in their lives..it's my ONLY sister's boy..yes, she does have a beautiful home and he is with her..they just don't seem to get along very well...I get tired sometimes of always hearing, 'how would you know, you've got perfect boys- nice family, great jobs, on top of the world'...anyway..sure hope Jeff contacts him, maybe he can help with answers .. am sure Jeff knows more about the problems than he tells me...and it surely is a cry for help...

I am saying Prayers for all in California Dawn...Very powerful photo's, makes me sad in kinds of ways. To visualize such intensity sure makes me pray all the harder for everyone involved.

A couple answers for you...first My ds holds his own to his sister's, yep they gang up on him but he is a wrestler and has absolutley no problem Picking them up and Putting them in their rooms! I only intervine if I hear "death" threats...then they all run,LOL.
As far as the Megga pumkin...We decided to wait on breaking it open...Then the plan is to freeze the meat for future use...But get this the family has already decided to use the SAWZALL on it...Can't wait and definatley will take pics of that operation.

It has turned so cold today, have micro furnace on here in the office..just got back from lunch, Paul dropped in for about an hour prior to Suzanne and I leaving for lunch he asked if we were working tomorrow??? "Nope, think we'll have the day off"..he just laughs..so nice to see him feeling better...so, I'll enjoy cleaning the downstairs and putting Halloween to bed..perhaps, I might even take out some Christmas goodies..you see, with going to the USA before Christmas and having my family over before I leave it will take 2 weeks of enjoying them so may as well get them out and also let the workshop participants enjoy them...always adds so much color...

Going to stop into Barrie tonight for my new eyes...then I'll be able to focus for better painting..lol...

i would not send the santa until you find her, she may have moved or something.
as for the boy soemone MUST get him help. better to be seen as a gossiper than to be seen as a friend attending afuneral. as you know my nephew hung himself not long ago. no one listened and then it was too late. tell somone, get him help, get him to the doctors. hospital and medicated. its not just in the mind, depression is a medical condition, the receptors in the brain lose a kind of coating on the end which stops us processing correctly. medication can help.
