Best/Worst time to move again girls and boys part?19?I think

it drizzled a little last night we covered the flaming calderons and the fog machines but it was a big tease still worried if i have enough candy lol
oh and to think im going to get some projects done wrong well lets see the chair stripping was a disaster i used the speedomatic paint remover oh it blistered all the white paint off but under the white someone painted it black so i'll put somemore on today.
then had enough broken glass to run in the gem tumbler to make sea glass the belt broke so i was prepared to drive to mountain view about 5 citys away to the lapidary shop well went to get driving directions to find out their going out of bussiness cash and carry only.
dont know what happened out here there use to be lapidary shops every couple of towns they all closed up shop, gee i sure hope its not a dying art.

Thanks -about my kids, They love to carve pumkins...We have a pumkins carving niight each halloween. Dad always cuts the tops and starts the first puncture then I gut all the pumkins cuz the kids don't like the slimey feel...LOL Then they each set to carve their creations. And of course got to have a final photo.

OMG LIZ...Run out of Candy??? yowza! that is one candy bowl, Every dentist in your town must love you...hahaha. Great Candy container. I am so excited for you and DH hope you just have a grand time.

Oh my Carole, Your grandaughter is so lovely. Did you make her Geisha outfit? Very very pretty. Forgot to mention, That I I loved the family/friends photo you posted. Such a wonderful fall outing. Oh, gosh...Donated Blood yesterday after work which really knocked me down...no energy to do anything so fell asleep very early. This morning I am starving so will go grad a bite to eat here in a few. I am a little excited because DD1 presented me with a CD of the Marching Band! I love it, am playing it while I work and just a rain to go with it's wonderfully quick tempo.

Well better get to these last projects...hopefully will actually get up to date, Again!

What do you do with your sea glass Liz???haven't used my fog machine as yet, better get DS Greg to check it out tonight to it will be ready for when I get home tomorrow night..Suzanne has appt. at 3 tomorrow which usually take about 2 hrs..so there goes my thoughts on leaving at least 1 hr. earlier...yuk...one thing about living next door to variety store is if I run out, might be costly but always more cases of pop and candy available...although I'll not do what I normally do and give to all the teens till 9 - 10 pm when they aren't even in costume..will just shut everything down...wouldn't mind if they would at least dress up...

Discussion on radio this morning about young boys having to play hockey on Halloween night..Caleb and Braedon are on rep teams..talked to Jeff this morning and he says he doesn't care, that will be one night that the boys are not playing..good for him..they are only kids for such short years..they should enjoy themselves...

You are always so busy Judy...I was just thrilled to get home last night and walk it to a completely clean/dust free house...so inviting..guess it was worth all the weekend work and being so tired yesterday...Paul is in with clients and then is leaving for the afternoon so out will come all my painting equipment..don't like doing it when we know we have clients but once everyone is gone and it's just me/me/me - well, doesn't matter..let's hope just sitting here this am doesn't take away my energy...

I'm unable to donate blood, because of some medical problems I had with kidneys and other parts of the human body, the told me 'nope' which is too bad as I'd love to do so...always respect those that do..saving a life must feel great...

thease chairs were in the shed got them for 15 dollars years ago finally decide to do something with them there indoor chairs but what a pain there turning out to be maby one more coat of paint remover will do the trick.

You'd better give him a hug...I bought an older table and 4 chairs, similar, have them in my secret garden..just put them under the deck over the weekend, want to paint them 'pretty colors' next spring and devise a roof type structure over them..have old metal from gazebo I replace so maybe it can be incorporated..geeze, putting stuff away and already planning for next spring...give MY head a shake!!!

No Betty I don't feel I have much of a life! It is just so calm and repetitive. Not a big family so not much there. DH goes to his brothers and hunts or helps them.

At this point in my life no super close friends except for my boss at work. Have known her for 25 years.

Not silly we are just on a calm quiet track to a certain extent in our lives.

Liz I hate the go go go! I'm perfectly happy at home most of the time. I think I would make a pretty good hermit if I didn't like talking to people! LOL

Sometimes I have to say to myself, "Betty, get a life!" seems sometimes there should be more..I do enjoy my time alone and the accomplishments that I do each and every weekend, but almost seems like something is missing..don't think it's a DH..lol...guess it's just the onset of winter coming on..makes everything look drab..better lighten it up with lights right Liz...

Plan?? Never any time to plan much...I am A thought come to mind, and away it goes into action...thus 100 different things going on at one time, LOVE to be busy... This way i get to interact with people of all ages, get lots of excersie at same time and my mind is an evergoing calander.

Liz-I like your chairs! Have you thought of using a Heat gun? Quick. Then use the paint remover for extra residue and final wood wash! Here's a pic of wall before and after, though as you can see i still have lots to do, hopefully this weekend.

for the spindles you can just aply to loosen the paint - will make it easier then to remove with a scraper then your wood wash.

Judy, that looks like an awfully lot of work..you should have a 'paint removal bee' day...what will you be replacing the bottom boards with? love playing scrabble..bought a hand held unit but the computer designated player really cheats...uses words that aren't words and you can't call her up on it, when I use similar words, poof, I'm penalized...lol...

Liz, went to lunch next to the Halloween store, Suzanne went in and ordered pizza and I went in to pick up fogging liquid for tomorrow night..they've a sale on...fantastic prices..on my way out there was an entire counter with legs/arms/hands/fingers/heart/brains/eyes etc. - tummy started to turn as they were so realistic..couldn't eat my lunch..but am almost tempted to pick some up tomorrow..they were $5.00 each ..think that was a good price???

but then here you all were! you have changed me for the good. given me strenght and courage and inspiration. so here i am, making stuff, fighting back, going to a studio to record! my goodness....
our life can get so quiet we forget to see the wonder in it all (no pun intended lol)
we HAVE to take the time to do something together or on our own that fills and renews us. that gets us away from the mundane and shows us the happiness that can be found...
we can also get so busy that life wizzes by.... dont miss too much.,,

having a life is different for each, find what it is that makes yours and do it!

yep light it up oh while i was cleanning i found in the closet its called royal coat decoupage finish 1402 clear then it says it glues and seals i got it at walmart would that work for the sleigh? 5.00 isnt to bad at all was that 50% im seeing alot of stuff reduced right now bought two more bags of candy now i dont feel so stressed oh while we were at the dumps this morning we were dumping and this truck lifted the back tub to dump well this white thing rolled out of the load kenny says leave it, there watching..
i said too bad finders keepers let them get mad lol im so bad but it looked like it needed a home so i saved it from the claw of the tractor lol

First things first - Laura, your packages arrived to day and I don't know what to say - 'thank you' doesn't cover it! The kids were totally in awe of your gifts! You are such a kind, thoughtful person! Savannah absolutely LOVED the necklace - LOVED IT! and Walker just couldn't get over the fact that a package had come for him from Australia! And to have such a beautiful wallet in there made from kangaroo! He took it to all his friends to show them and kept it in his pocket till he went to bed! And the wonderful letters you put with both! Savannah liked how you called me "Mum". She's now calling me that! They will both be on her tomorrow night to send you a thank you. From me - thank you for your wonderful kindness; for sharing a little piece of Australia with my children and for showing me that a friend is not just someone who lives near you or sees you everyday, but someone that can live 16,000 miles away! Thank you!

Betty, I am a project coordinator/administrative assist for a very large financial company here in Richmond - think "what's in your wallet?" I love it there and am so happy to be able to stay with them! My new mgr is wonderful and already after just a week and a half, we banter and tease each other like we've worked together for years. He is very easy going and has no problem with me working from home whenever I need so having the flexibility when I need it is great!

As for the new bed - yes, I went out last weekend and found a bed we both liked and of course had to get the first mattress set I layed on which of course was a Vera Wang set. Did not know she now made mattresses. I will be the only Vera Wang I'm sure I will ever own. Anyway, both the bed and the mattress set were on sale for what I consider a good deal. I think my DH thought I would be able to go out and get it all for under $500. That would be at DICK'S in the camping section, hun! Anyway, they have to order the bed but it's a dark cherry headboard and foot board that has square posts on all four corners with some ironwork on the headboard. I also went on Kohl's.com the other day and bought 3 new sets of sheets - 1 flannel, 2 400 count ones plus extra pillowcases for each set. They were having a big sale plus my neighbor had a 15% off coupon so I think I got a good deal. So hopefully, in the next few weeks, our bed will come in and I can lay on my Vera Wang and snooze!!!

Well, it is almost 11pm so I'm going to hit the hay! I will be back tomorrow night!!

You are all probably asleep..me, finishing last touches to the coke machine with Greg and Kyle..sent them home..but Kyle is pleased as punch..couldn't take the coke machine home as we had to do red touch ups..more than enough mactac to make coca cola and a friend who works a coke gave us decals so that helped..smaller ones ended up making the press buttons for the different types of pop, so that saved us cutting real cans..taught my class and helped with project .. haven't even had supper yet...

Best...all the boys have costumes to be proud of..all are excited..

Worse...hmmm nothing that I can think of...

What did I learn..Greg and Kyle got some of my imagination and artistic talent..lol..

daring them to dig in the soil.....those kinds of mundane things. But..life is good, and all is well.

funny story last night, got the tumbler up and running i put a wooden cutting board on the dryer and put it on top what a racket the machine makes.
so last night i had all my bags and things i had purchased in the day on the washer now granted this little machine sounds like a couple washing machines going on, so im standing there thinking geez how much vibration this machine puts out wow im going to have some nice glass to look at.
just amaised at the fact that i could feel the vibration under my feet and from the washer till it got so strong i was ready to call kenny to tell him something is wrong with the tumbler well i looked in the kitchen to see everything swaying then i ran for the doorway duh lol ... you never know when there comming sometimes animals act wierd and sometimes the air gets real sultry and humid thats when we say earthquake weather dosnt always stand true.

Betty..you asked if we feel we have a life..well mine is very quiet..and I like it that way. I have been retired for one year now..and I like the fact that I don't have to rush around doing things after working all day. Yesterday I cut grass and made three apple crisps..took one pan to my son and his family and will take one to my daughter's tonight...finished reading a book and watched some TV...chatted to a couple of friends on the phone and my sister. Most of you would find it too quiet..but for me it works....I feel like it is time for me now.

Betty you will be so shocked at who left Dancing with the Stars last night..I was!..and so were the judges..
Wonderful Coke machine..I am in awe of all your talents!

This is my pumpkin I entered in the contest at work a couple of years ago.

Morning, couldn't get to high speed this morning..but did leave at 6:45..had breakfast at McDonald and then picked up all my pop and treats for tonight..

Carol...love the pumkin set in fall decor...as for 'Dancing with the stars' I had my painting girls, DS Greg and DGS Kyle over..Greg was cutting out decals for costume and we were oh/ah's and then we all stood there in shock, I mean SHOCK..how could they..the best 2 ..know they were all shocked as well..still can't figure it out...should really have been Marie Osmond..so, I'm saying this and the girls are agreeing that it should have been her and DS says, "But mom, it's the old ladies like you who remember her when you were young that are calling in voting"..smack that kid for me will you...had a good laugh..this morning was talking to Suzanne who also watched it and I said, that's it, I'm through..not fair..don't want to watch and play anymore...

As for the life, must juggle myself around, "I have the perfect life" to the "what's missing in my life"..lol...you are shelling out at daughters tonight right..let's hope rain waits until 10pm...

Liz, thank goodness you are all ok...I got the fogger out last night for 1st time..not sure it's what I thought it was..plugged it in, took about 7 minutes to warm the liquid up..little spouts of fog comes out and then when I press on the remote, mega fog but only for a sec or two, then you have to wait/wait for it to warm up again...is this the way it is suppose to work? if so, that's probably why you have several foggers..right? hopefully kids will come in 7 minute intervals..lol...

Shar..nice to see you post...lol at the vision I'm getting of Jazz and Daisy..think this weekend will be the last chance to get flowers/plants indoors for us..surprised that you would need them in so soon...bet you are just exhausted after the 'art show'...are you eating any better and have any results come in from your tests..the waiting is the worse is it not...Ethan coming this weekend??

no betty, go get a timmer you can set it for however long intervals every 5 seconds every 2 minutes what ever you like then it dosnt become a headace having to push it manualy but keep in mind short intervals your going to need somemore fog juice lol i have a gallon left so tomorrow i'll be scouting the places for some at 50% off.

I did purchase extra yesterday..the machine I purchased has an on switch, then it had another plug with a control..you press one button for on and then when the green light comes on..voila.you've fog..don't know if I can put a timer on mine..I'll have to make do tonight and go on the lookout tomorrow....

Well, DD#1 wrote her paper for the College. I was so impressed it brought tears to my eyes...oh where has the time gone by?? We had a real nice time just the three of us, started with dinner and then to the College fair...

She was going to go out until I said hey what about the pumpkins...So this kid carved her pumkin in all of 20 minutes flat!! and off she went...the little ones (istill call them that) each spent a great deal of time carving theirs, and they turned out great. Will post pics later...cuz could you believe I forgot my camera today!! anyway had great fun in planning their costumes...will get all material tonight and begin...everything needed For Sat, so plenty of time--they will be Quick & eazzzy.
