Thank you Eleanor.
Fall Color 3
I am so jealous! Like Celeste said, you are so lucky to still have color. We have more greys than browns right now, unless you count the browns of the leaves on the ground. Even the evergreens are looking like they are sleeping. You know what I mean; they get that 'I'm sleeping now' color for the colder months.
Great photo, Anita! Great color, too!!
Nice Anita - good lighting.
Anita - enjoyed the pic of the Washington Monument. Nice shot!! I have been down their twice and still haven't seen everything!!! Did you go up in the monument - we didn't cause it's such a hassle but we found another place, the Old Post Office tower. It's not as high but you get a view on all four sides and you could see everything you wanted to see in the city. Eleanor
Victor, brilliant colors, beautiful photos!
Thank you!
breath taking Victor
Thanks, Allison.
Another WoW, Victor!! Your fall shots just keep getting more and more stunning!
Thank you, Louise.
Amazing color Victor, if it sticks around it will make a beautiful Thanksgiving scene.
Thanks everyone. No, I didn't go up in the monument.
Victor. the color is amazing! I love JM in the fall.
Great color, Victor.
Thanks all! I just drove through Harriman Park this AM and it looks like it's at peak right now. Wish it was not such a lousy day!
Sometimes those colors just seem to glow, even on a cloudy day.
sometimes they seem to glow more on a cloudy day.
i just wish it'd stopped RAINING ever today.
Rained from when i got up till halfway home from school, at 4:15.
Lots of trees seem to have colorful bottom halves, but nothing much left on top.
True about the colors on a cloudy day but today it was pouring and foggy so I didn't see much.
Victor - is the color sticking around longer than usual in your area? It seems late to have so much still. You are most fortunate - cold rain notwithstanding!
Yes, but it started late - about ten days late on average, I would guess. My large JM out front has only just started to hint at change. Usually it's in full color by now.
Nice! Enjoy!
Victor, you've said before that if you had more land, you would definitely have alot more variety. I agree with you. The shades of red are breath taking along the LIE. Unfortunately, it's not safe to take pictures and drive when you are the only one in the car. There are several tree species that I would love to have on a large property. It is such a feast for the eyes.
I bet it's just gorgeous! You guys are lucky.
Certainly is, Anita.
Victor, I feel like a broken record but... beautiful colors and great photos. I think the wider shot of the JM may be my favorite of this bunch. Thanks so much for keeping us in autumn!
Thank you. No problem - will probably lose the last of it in a week or so.
