I agree with Basket_case, if my gardening friends come to my garden and ooh & aahh over something, I like that. I like things you don't usually see around here also.
I have a 'judge' that is looking over the seeds now. He is a well seasoned gardener and has travelled all over the world. His 70 years of living should make for an interesting judge!
Im so happy to see so many participants! I knew I wasnt the only gardener that likes the weirder the better.....hehehe
will write more later, about 8 or more seed envelopes came today! Gonna log them in later, but first back outdoors in the sunshine, winterizing....

Your 'judge' sounds very interesting Theresa, I have a mentor that is in his 80's and he is the best! I'm interested to see what he says about our seeds, experience makes a great judge! Share some of my seeds if he want some there are plenty :) Does he still garden?

yup, my friend still gardens. He hybridized daylilies in the past, and has some interesting ones that he shares.
I have offered him any seeds he wants as 'payment' for judging :)

I think I speak for all of us nut-cases in stating that we'd be happy to award you for setting up such a fun deal! I don't trade anymore, so it's been alot of fun getting back into the action. (But I think youjust might possibly have opened up an old wound!

treasure those moments with your mentor! I lost mine last winter to pancreatic cancer. But I will never forget her. She was wonderful and still mentoring to the end. Her family offered me all of her garden supplies and seeds. I also bought her storable greenhouse. Now I am honored by being the one her daughter-in-law calls with her gardening questions. I am dedicated to keeping the circle unbroken.... And her memory will llive on in the gardens of several who received her seeds in other individual trades.
