Paul called after his meeting and said everything is a go..he is going to the municipality on Friday morning to get a list of bylaws...just to make sure that what is in his plans is allowable..now I personally would have done this BEFORE going through all the negotiations, but, he must feel confident that it will be o.k...maybe this morning we'll have a better idea as to the closing date...let's hope it's soon...

Well, better get some breakfast in me incase we've no time to stop..talk later...

ooops..wanted to remind you that 3 months from today..it's CHRISTMAS!!! now isn't that something you just wanted to know..lol...

betty, hope your headace is gone i know i should stay home, but im going to go in, im feeling a lot better but i wish the feeling of someone having their hands over my ears would hurry and go away im yelling its so embarrassing, maby i should wear a sign " ear infection cant hear"lol
we have to wait till the girls arrive at 9.00 then go down to the other store we have our old district manager 1 more week so today and tomorrow is the last time for along time we help out in any store.
well it sounds like its going to happen wont it be nice to not have to use that highway any more i bet you cant wait. well better get ready .

Saturday I went with a friend to a couple of yards sales. I bought a few trinkets for the garden and some candles and the prettiest clock that goes perfectly in the guest room.T..then to a Chili cook off..in a little town nearby. We sat in a cafe and had butter pecan coffee. ..and watched the entertainment through the window..tap dancers in the street and band playing. ..and wandered around cahtting to a few people we knew.The weather here has been gorgeous.

Sunday I went shopping and found two pairs of slacks, one brown herring bone and the other charcoal, that fit perfectly at Sears. They are Hagar petite, as I am only 5'3" and need the shorter length..and they go all the way up to the waist.I also found a great buy on a bath towel and bath mat. All on sale.

Today I have a dentist appt.
and so it goes...

Worst-my daughter decided to cut a big chunk of her hair (she did it fast when we weren't looking)..it looks so funny, but it will probably take a year or two to grow out. I think she learned cause she was all upset about it.

I have been a little busy and not a lot of time to get online (to DG). So where do I start - Sunday we picked up our boat which was at the welders having some repair work done and the cost was quite a bit more then we were expecting. The work is excellent and worth the money but we just weren't expecting to pay - ugh - choke - $2000!!! The work had to be done so it wasn't a frivolous purchase (the boat was!!). Anyway, we are fortunate that we do have money saved so I tried to make my DH see the "big picture". It wasn't easy! So I came home and decided to see what I could sell on eBay to make some money. DH decided we can get rid of all of out CDs - since we have everything on the ipod we don't need the CDs anymore. So I have been listing our 300+ CDs plus anything else I can find to sell. If the kids p-o me, they're next! :)

Seed - punchneedle is a fun, easy craft that originated in Russia. It's also called Igolochkoy. You can get kits on eBay. There are different size needles. The good needles - brass one - are about $20 each. Basically, all you do is thread the needle which is a tube w/ a big needle on the end and punch it through the back of the fabric - up and down and across. The needle can be set so only a small amount of thread loops on the front or a lot. It end up looking like a looped rug on the front but you use DMC thread not hook rug stuff. I will try and post a picture of the one I am working on plus the needle. It's addictive!!!

Jeannine..It truly is addictive..did some floor mats..also we called the miniature version I think 'bunka shishu' OMG..another $2,000. I can sympathize though after spending the amount we did this summer on Roger's boat..but oh what fun 'boating' the pain of spending that money soon disappears in the calmness of the bay...e-bay, now do you have an account that you have set up to put things on the system..never quite understand how that works..from the old school, go to shopping mall and buy..never think of e-bay.....although Oliver who is like my 3rd son has a business on e-bay..purchases liquidation items from major companies and sells..just hiring another 2 employees full time..he usually calls me when sewing machines or craft items come in..my friends were pleased with their purchases..in fact Suzanne here in the office bought one for her daughter for Christmas...

Carol, love the 'secret' garden..I've an area cut out with lilac trees surrounding it..love it but it's do dark inside, bought wood table/chairs for it..should make it into a room of its' own..maybe this spring..any thoughts????

Boss in bad mood today (so my SIL says-spoke to him earlier and he seemed ok) but just incase I'm going to sit in the office, play on computer..knit..something and leave him to his own devices...

OMG..heard a bang..accident in the parking lot..looking out and it's Suzanne (SIL) and Cindy (niece)..no one hurt I don't think...Sue just called up for Paul to go down, it's his Jimmy..they are the front vehicle, the truck is in the back...here's Suzanne now...said they were coming back from a meeting, she was looking for a parking spot, started to back up into it when the guy hit her from behind..I would think it's 50/50..guy should have seen her, but then she should have looked..if Paul was in bad humour early this a.m. - this has just added to it..no one hurt..that's what counts...

what a terrible way to start a day, betty....a parking lot accident.

Oh Tropi, How beautiful!! Such a pretty color, is it frangrent?...Sorry had to giggle on the hair cut. Reminded me of my oldest doing the same thing, she was 4-hid under the dinning table and chopped all her bangs...the day before getting photos taken! Still took her-...Now she's into dying her hair, hahaha,almost wish she was bald!

OMG/OMG... I'm sitting here laughing.. Paul's 3pm appt. just came in..think she's in a negligee..had to go into his office and she's sitting there, dress is as high as her ying/yang...lol...she has to put a piece of paper so he won't see her panties for sure..it's absolutely hilarious..if that doesn't bring a smile to his face then nothing will..can you tell me why people dress like that..she's gorgeous, but lordy it's just not necessary...shaking my head...

Now my son called me and he's on cloud 9...has his 2 days of meetings and it looks like they might have a few buyers for the company he works for..he's VP of Engineering and Finance...3rd time he's working for same man..anyway if this company was to sell my little boy could be a millionaire..imagine..he's worked awfully hard in this company...so..might take a few months for the offer to come in..lets hope...I'm just so proud of him...he was on his way home to get some sleep..said the last 3 or 4 weeks of 20 hrs. a day just about did him in..I was just shaking when I heard him tell me all about it...jokingly I said, 'so, if this happens do you think I can stop eating just balogna sandwiches'...he laughed and said not to worry, my refrigerator would always be full...anxious to see him, but still many meetings to go over the next few weeks...I'm just so thrilled..want to tell someone...now I'll really be saying some prayers....

yes Trop it is the good looking single one..he's worked very hard..last company he worked for (same guy that started this one up and he moved over with them after 2 yrs) sold it for 100M...Jeff did well in that transaction as well..they gave him many stocks to go with them...am sure if this one sells they'll get into something different..anyway..he was just toooo tired to talk for long..said he'd see me shortly..remember when he did part of the program for the 1st Canadian Election held by computer..was so proud..they call from all over the globe for info on the project..he was at home with me then, they'd say were they were calling from and I'd basically say, wow, and why do you want my young son? Guess we never appreciate just how smart they are...he takes after his father for sure...lol

Just sooo funny, young lady is still in with Paul..when I told him how HOT she looked, he laughed and said, I'm still paying on my other one so thanks but no thanks...at least I got a smile out of him...had a few calls first thing this morning form the vendor in Barrie..who knows, maybe things aren't going well!!! Suzanne has to go to court with clients tomorrow so I must drive in alone..not looking forward to that..

Cause he's my baby...we really bonded after Roger died and he moved in with me so I'd have someone in the house..travelled to the city .. when he felt I was able to stand on my feet he moved back..Greg is so like his father in looks and manerisms, but Jeff is identical in how he handles things...so, whenever I need anything it's him I turn to..he tells it like it is..

Well, tonight, last Tueday of the month and jackpot was $3K..nope, didn't win it...but then it's hard to do when every two seconds I'm using that remote control to get Dancing with the Stars..lol....

Raining pretty heavy, storm coming through..lightning/thundering and Sailor is going crazy...hopefully won't be for much longer..lights flickered a few times but still have hydro...very muggy outside, for a few minutes almost thought we had hail again!

Best..my son being so 'up' today even though he was dead on his feet..and must say I was overwhlemed to see just how far he's getting in his field...

Worse..poor Cindy was so upset with having the accident..Paul gets awfully worked up..by the time we left he was back being social and loving to Cindy..working for Dad must be difficult at times..not sure if it's because I'm the eldest SIL he has and can remember that he must be respectful that he dotes a little more on me than the others..they get a kick out of it..anytime they need something or are trying to con him, 'it's Aunty Betty'...

What did I learn..that good things do happen to nice people...just can't get discouraged..must brave forward with a smile....

Morning….heavy traffic coming into the city..left at 6:30 and arrived at 8:20 at which time I tried to open office door..no luck..key pad was frozen..went into our 2nd office to call Paul only to find Paul and janitor taking up ceiling tiles to be able to enter our office so I decided that I may as well go for breakfast, when all was said and done it was 8:50..still early…

It’s overcast here today, dark and dreary but warm..that’s ok because they are calling for a nice weekend…trees are turning..not quite as colourful as other falls but lovely to look at..

Trying to organize myself this morning…late Oct./Nov. and Dec. I do the 1 day ‘make and take’ workshops …decided this morning to choose about 10 projects, do a mock up and decide which I’ll teach..others can be sold or just kept for my own use..will do a family of carollers for my front yard though, a treat to myself!

This aft. I’ll do my order list of materials, have the wood delivered and order the blades so that I’m ready to cut out the projects.. A must is to structure my free time to do the projects, pick out all the dates and I’ll be well underway to being organized…

Am hoping at lunch that I’ll make it to Ezzywear, would like to purchase 2 or 3 fall outfits…that’s about my morning..how is yours going…

Are you feeling any better today Liz..hope you didn’t overdo..meant to ask you, could you tell me if it’s real fire underneath that head on the b.b.q. and if it is, what stops it form burning…might be something I can incorporate if you don’t mind……Jeannine, bet that quilt is almost done…Judy, you driving that new van yet? Yipppeeee, yes got my mini van last night and drove today! Sweet ride.

OK...to give you all a chuckle, I have teeth problems and yesterday one of my front teeth fell out of my head! not a suprise, but i now look like a Jack-O-Lantern!
HAHAHAH Said i am going to paint my face orange and be a Jude-O-lantern for halloween...what timing. and for Christmas i'll be sing all I wantfor Christmas is my two front teeth, LOLOL aint it the 'trooth"!

Just got back from lunch..p.u. a sandwich downstairs because I shopped the entire 1 1/2 hrs...but got some bargoons...got a nice teal jacket and pants with shirt to match, then a brown cord vest/pants and a winter white jacket so I can interchange and another blouse..that's it for today, will go back when winter stock is in and pick up a few more....getting ready for you know what...that white stuff is just around the corner...

At least the tooth loss didn't involve any pain...(cringing at the thought!)

going to see the psycologist today. as you know been having troubles at work and i have been suffering anxiety since. going to have a chat with her and see what she can tell me that may help. work pays for it so i may as well take advantage.
almost finished my special treats for you guys so keep an eye on the postman.
Now now betty, no lecturing from you now, its sent with love and wont take up any room at all! goodness what could it be? hmmm will have to wait and see... lol

What did I learn... lost a lot of enthusiams for painting..gave the new girls tour of the house showing all the painted pieces..saw how excited they were...maybe new blood will give me encouragement to get back at it....

It is sometimes like that with craft, you pick it up and put it down. you are amazing with all the things that you can do. i am sure you will never get bored.

Had to re house my puppy. with all of us working now there was no one here for him. he bacame so lonely and destructive as a result of being left alone that i felt it was cruel to him. I found an elderly lady who desperatly wanted one and so i have given him to her.
so sad, but i felt that though it hurts me something awful, it was worse to see his little face when we left and how guilty he looked when we came home and he had been up to mischeif. it wasnt his fault. dogs need people and dont like to be lonely, i felt this was the best decision for him. so, my puppy man is gone. im so sad :0(

Wonder, sorry to hear about your pup, and definitely take advantage of someone to talk to....just remember it's your time and it's fine to be quite honest. Any decent place will also let you choose what kind of person you'd prefer to work with (male/female, serious, empathetic, funny, etc)

Judy, sorry to hear about the tooth...take the CC and a crown girl! Some offices will let you negotiate price. I cracked a molar and had to get one a few years ago. Porcelein and gold cost the exact same...so I went for the white gold..lol

Wonder so sorry you had to give up your puppy! Can you visit him? Good luck at the appointment.

Betty so hope you guys make that move soon. I can't imagine driving that far everyday for your job. Well yes I can but to have the energy to do the other stuff. Are you going to post pictures of the projects?

Seems like all I have been doing is working and cooking and watching tv. Oh yeah that is my life. Have to make a list of winter projects and then do them. Never made a list before maybe that will help. I like seeing things crossed off. Want to organize the recipes I have found or copied. Tried a couple lately that are really good. Clean my craft room. I have been using it for a junk room. Shame on me!!!!!!!!! Also get my sons room straightened out so I can use it for a guest room again. He will regret it if I do it. His problem. Here it is in print! So someone please remind me once in awhile. A good old kick in the butt is what I need once in awhile.

Best thing-Work seemed to go fast.
Worst thing- the day went to fast!
What did I learn-nothing? Oh wait I know- The daylight is just disappearing way too fast too soon!
