No sports? Is that a violation of AUP, too?
Then I'll take my polo ponies and go home.
Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - the Prequel
It's a violation of the Man's Rules. Hee hee.
Well, considering I'm not a man, then, I guess I'm off the hook. Sports are overrated. (gulp! Hiding behind the couch)
Speaking of sports. Bosox leading 1- nothing
Mets 2-0. Way more important.
Zzzzzzz....
Yawn.
An s/m friend of mine loves Obedient Plant.
Victor!!
Where's Pirl to make it a menage a snore :~)
I'm a bad girl, I like football too.
Good to hear that some ladies like sports. Unfortunately my wife is not one of them.
DD loves sports, just about all of them and knows who plays what position on what team. Last year in Florida she saw Derek Jeeders
( I have know idea if thats even close}outside of her work.....out the door she went to get his autograph. Her boss told her she acted like a tourist with her Maine accent waving a pen and paper and running after him.
Pixie! We had to fight hard to get the right to vote and now a woman is running after a man for his autograph! What next? Victor running after CZJ?
I do like to watch golf. The courses are lovely, the players are talented and there's no violence, no need of helmets and no fighting or ...... scratching! Yukky!
If you have to whisper as a fan, it's not really a sport.
Peace and quiet is a good thing. Screaming and cursing, as I heard about against Navy last weekend, is not good manners or good sportsmanship.
Yelling politely is fine. I agree with all the rest.
Sometimes you just have to help out the ump or ref when they make an obviously mistaken call. It's only trying to be helpful, loudly.
pirl, she is very independent and totally modern, just loves sports.
This is the girl who had plans to move to Florida with her boyfriend, he chickened out and said he wasn't ready to move. She said fine......you know where to find me if you change your mind. Drove all the way to Fl. by herself, got a job, an apt. ect.... it took him 8 months to realized he couldn't live w/out her.
Don't run with scissors
Great story, pirl. My youngest is the same way as your DD. She drove all the way to FL on her own. Hadn't had her driver's license but a month! (Scared the crap out of ths momma!!)
Now, she's happily married and living in VA with her Marine.
Candyce - It was Pixie's friend, not my DD. She's nearby and the mother of two happy kids.
Oh. Oops! Thanks for the clarification. Sometimes I read too quickly.
Theeeeee Yankees win!!!!!!!!
I would run after Derek "Jeeder" for his autograph too. He is one of the great role models too.
I am Peppino the Italian mouse
At my age I'd only run from a fire.
That was a thrilling win last night. Jeter is a Yankee I do like and respect.
And you are a Met fan I like & respect ;^)
Actually, both teams have a lot of good citizens. Sox too. Your catcher have a temper problem?
Thanks Dave. LoDuca has a big time temper problem. That really turns me off even though he's a good player. I was a sore loser as a kid and it embarrasses and sickens me now to see it. Glad I changed! Some never do.
I was in Guilford today! I picked raspberries and then had lunch on the green in Guilford. It is really cute.
Did you visit Dave?
Harper - is Dave feeling well enough to have visitors after his illness thread?
He's sick again? What's Mrs. 47 doing to him?
Not "again". I was just wondering about his health.
Don't you remember that thread?
Oh, yeah, I remember it. I thought he got 'sick' of it!
Funny!
Har, har, har
Have to step in and restore chaos to the thread!
