I am probably the only one who has never seen this show - wasn't available in Canada. When did it go off the air?
Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - the Prequel
It went off the air in September of 1960. There was a Canadian version with Timber Tom as the host - Robert Goulet!
Howdy Doody scared me.
Alien spooked me and it didn't help that everyone changed seats when I left to visit the lala. They all got a well deserved punch, a girlie punch, but a punch none the less. Psycho, Jaws, and Excorcist also "got" me. Don't know who Clarabelle is.
Yes, Jaws got me. Did not want to go in the water that Summer. Was 12 yrs old.
Gosh I have watched so many time and time again. Anything horror or Sci Fi. Terminator, Abyss, Langoliers, Dune, just about every Stephen King except Cujo...shivers....Old Yeller I could not watch for many moons, then I did. It made me cry. I am a hard one to go boo hoo. Then the others, Braveheart I have watched like 6 times a Knights Tale at least 10 times it makes me LMAO.
Weekly shows or nightly shows, seen them come and seen them go. Lexx, Farscape, Sliders, Centeniel, Star Treck, X Files, Lost in Space to name a few. The best Star Gate SG1.
Never did get to see Jaws but I'm current with "Gone With the Wind". Poor Bonnie Blue!
We're gonna need a bigger boat! Da dut...da dut...
Somebody likes the Sci-Fi channel, me too. :)
Hi Everyone! I am in a classroom - just finished lecturing on errors in logic and causal order . . . . now the students are doing a short quiz.
Thought I would say "hi" while they struggle . . . . :-) hehehehehe
Hi and get back to work- while you were typing three students were cheating! Errors in logic and causal order? Just let them see this thread.
Old coffee is the pits.
My JM's love it.
Not with cream and sugar, I'm sure.
'nother class, 'nother quiz - this time on social structure, culture, and social instituions.
Got me a work-study student - 10 hour of labour each week. whoohoo! (alas, not for pulling weeds or other gardening chores :-(
Victor - do you give the JM's the leftover coffee in the pot? I fill it to the brim with cool water having learned the hard way they despise very hot coffee. The earth in the one spot in one hosta garden where I dump the coffee grounds daily is SO beautifully black! You were 100% right about the worms!
Can I be Senor Wences? S'awright!
You can be anyone your heart desires.
Michaela - do you teach anything without 'social' in the title??? Pirl - no I save the grounds until the jar is full and then dump them.
You don't put the leftover (unused) coffee in with the grounds?
Okay, dibs on Topo Gigio. :)
Nobody wants to be a "Flying Wallenda"?
I'm the only coffee drinker and I only make what I drink so there is no leftover.
Now I'm off to class. One of the students made a call on her cell phone during class last week. And these are adults! Tonight I'm going to teach them how to check where their spouse has been going on the internet. hee-hee! It is my public service announcement.
Better yet - show them where their spouses are while they're busy sitting in your class!!
AYC, how do you do that???
I show them how to set and check history for internet browsing.
The Omen
History is easily erased.
or rewritten.
rarely learned from
I was referring to the computer of course.
Oh!! Yankee, I was thinking something entirely different. I guess this is the right thread to be confused in. You said:
"I'm going to teach them how to check where their spouse has been going on the internet." No, for some reason, my mind thought that you were going to teach them to use the internet to find where their spouse has been in geographic, real time. How silly of me.
How 'bout them Yankees?
Fightin' words!!!!!!!!
Anyone who ever uses a office computer knows to delete the history - so I've heard ;)
Not that you'd ever have a need to, Al.
Not everyone! And if you set yourself up as administrator you can control where "others" can go and what they can do!
Sounds like marriage to me.
Sorry Candyce. I don't even follow sports, much less baseball, much less the Yankees.
Me neither, Harper: you are not alone. One field goal is as good as a putt or a hit to me.
No sports! -don't make me putt you ;)
