Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - the Prequel

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Back to the pesto.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I still run fast - but I'm on my wife's leash!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Face to the pesto, nice and hot, to catch the heavenly aromas.

Don't scratch your head facing the pesto.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

What should be scratched??

Nose not like Steinfiels.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I could use that extra screw Yankee.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Is Victor hiding?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Can't touch that one!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I figured as much.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I meant for my head! Victor, I can vouch for you to your wife that you've been good.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Hmmmm.

(My post was for Harper, not Victor.)

Which one Pirl?

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

About Harper vouching for you.

"You've been good".

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Well we've been keeping with the theme by being confusing!

Virtual weeding. (An appealing idea.)

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Pirl, I only meant in this one, particular instance.

My son says, "2+2=6!"

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I told him to stop being a 'pesto' years ago... didn't work.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

The new math.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

It's the new English that amazes me. So many words that are misspelled - even floppy!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

ur rt

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I'm with you pirl. I'll stick with the tried and true. Although Greenwich and some of those other British words never make any sense to me. Like, Worchestershire.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

The English don't even use English units!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

In a message I received today, the writer meant to say "let alone" but wrote "little alone", among at least 50 serious flaws she made with the English language.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Peggy Day. Stole my poor heart away. Love to spend a night with Peggy Day.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

There are some I've seen on a few forums on DG that I just could not believe. The person just did not bother after a while. Scary when 'educated' people write so terribly. The PhD's I worked with were awful.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

My mother was an English major. Grammar and spelling were very important to her. I've had to relax about it the last few years.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Not Peggy Sue? Were they sisters?

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Gee, and I didn't even get my Bachelor's. If I had, it would've been in Fine Art. Read: USELESS!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

All education is useful!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

But sum is more usefuler then utters.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

No Peggy Sue. This is Bob Dylan. DH is playing him while he cooks dinner. We all call him the 'slow cook'. It's 9:15 and dinner isn't done. Wait. I'm making sense. Can't be the Vodka and Tonic I'm having. What's responsible? This is awful!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Never felt an udder before. I'd like to. I'd be udderly thrilled.

Got the newsletter early - we won big over Games.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Games are silly - this is all business here.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yeah - strictly gardening.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

or at least gardeners

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Or dargeners.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

I try to keep it simple
