This is my first RU too, although I have been on DG about 9 months and in Tx 14 years. I know it gives me great pleasure to give my plants to interested gardeners, and I have extras that I will bring. If you still want to "trade", those Starbucks ground coffee grounds are highly prized.

Melva, could I please have a purple with red throat?
Melva, I have seeds for passiflower Maliformis that I am going to plant tomorrow. I will glady share with you if you want some Maliformis. It will have to overwinter inside. They should germinate before the RU if they do as should. They are fresh seeds still in their gooey covers.
Oh gosh.......just reading this makes me dizzy. I guess ya'll know how to decipher.
Melvatoo.....I added a link to your post at the top of the thread.

Lou, just jump in and hang on and enjoy the ride! LOL!
Love it. Just wish I was gonna be there. Mitch, I have seed and probably cuttings.
wow I just spent the last hour reading the lists .........Roses, clematis, herbs, Iris, Hostas, bleeding heart, pecan and walnut trees ........don't want to work anymore I want to stay home and garden so I can start figuring out what I want to do where.
I potted a few little trees from the yard today hoping they accept the move and took some cuttings to see if I can have luck rooting them. The areas in the yard I want to get to I can't until hubby clears the vines as I saw a couple small AB bushes back there.
IF these don't make it for the RU I will be digging (or maybe I should say hubby will be digging for me) the day before
pbtxlady and Mitch I have you both down for AB berry bushes
and Mitch and bronc you both want trees.
Did I miss anything we had mentioned.
Did anyone want any bamboo roots??? hahaha...runner type that would need to be contained ...it is
Phyllostachys aurea and can be used for crafts and you can even use it for plant stakes in the garden ( after you have cut it that is )
Mibus2, I have to look at your list again..there was something on it, that I really wanted, made me break into a sweat...now I can't remember what it was...It was the American Persimmon Tree...can I please have one?
who was the one who has Golden Yellow
Columbine? I need some of them!
lonestargirl....I would be very eager to trade for soil and/or manure.....and you are coming thru Denton...want to make a pit stop at my house, and then I can follow you to the swap? Please?
This message was edited Sep 23, 2007 10:06 PM
I have Passion vines and Mexican flame vines running all over the place. Can I root them in water or can i just cut and bring? Also I got a big pot of Lemon Balm I can share. Mitch you did say this is Lemon Balm right? :)
Bronco and Josephine ... thank you for the trees! :)
You are welcome Sylvia.
I wish I had some thing for you Josephine. If you can think of anything let me know. Everything I have mostly came from you. :)
Melva,
No problem about you following, My sister will be coming with me otherwise I would offer to just let you ride with me, but it sounds like you will be bringing a small nursery with you. Lord, you must be a busy woman with all of that going on in your yard.
Im confused do you have manure or need manure?? I have access to one cows manure, so I wouldn't have much (I just started a compost pile).
Deb
I think someone else mentioned manure..I need it. don;t have any to trade, I am okay to drive myself, I just get lost, and need to follow someone
TarRogers, I would like 3 of your Wyoming Cannas. I would also like varigated elephant grass. Trade this for how many yaupons, you said a lot. How many does that mean? You could bring a back hoe and take an acre or so if you want 'em LOL.
Charlene
Melva, my dad has Texas native (yellow) columbines coming up all over his yard. I haven't dug them yet, but Mamajack says they'll be fine if I cut them back, and I'm holding her to it (LOL). Is that the one you want? If it is, I'll bring you one.
I don't do roses myself because I am way too lazy (to my hubby's dismay). But my parents sit and admire theirs for hours on end. If you have a little cutting of something you think is very pretty, I'm sure they'd love a new one. They grow and like all types, so whatever you have would be great.
Is there anything else on my list that I can bring for you?
OK time for thread three!
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/773932/
And yes Sylvia Lemon Balm.
Mamajack gets one Texas Sage
Lonestargirl gets one Texas Sage and some compost tea
Sylvia gets cottonwoods
Charlene gets cottonwoods
Bananna I will try to root some Rose of Sharon for you, no trade necessary.
On to the new thread....
Does anyone have plain old fashioned purple single rose of sharon? DH has childhood memories of this bush and wants to have one again.
