I had dreams for awhile of flying around my apartment. I know what you mean, Seandor--it was a great high. No pun.

Michaela - your evening sounds amazing. I've had flying dreams and I agree that they are totally amazing. I've also had falling dreams, which are not so amazing. I usually wake up just prior to hitting the ground. I read once, in a New Age book, that these are 'out of body' experiences - if you believe that sort of thing. I've also read that it represents a release or liberation from something.

Yes, for some people the falling ones are very frightening and there is a release - from the bladder!

ngram: it's called lucid dreaming when you know you are dreaming and can alter the dream. In my case there is a director (I never see the director, but I can hear him). Anyway, if the dream is going "wrong" - the director will intervene and stop the action - just like it is a play, and insist on redoing the scene correctly!

Don't worry Cat - it already happened! On the flip side, it kept the 90's boom going artificially longer than it would have by forcing businesses to spend all that money on Y2K compliance. Why this was never investigated is way beyond me. There were virtually NO problems anywhere in the world - specifically, not even in poorer countries that did not spend a dime to change anything!
