I won't answer.
Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - Part III
Chicken!
I'm gun shy gai now.
You shy gais are too much.
Nanook-Tookalook is the name of an esquimo I once knew LOL He was arrested for peeking in people's windows...poor soul.
Oh no Dawn! You're catching it from Victor.
Good question pirl..maybe it's not chicken!
I let that one go too. Too easy.
Aha! The "other" white meat?
I meant Dawn's post. Staying away from it.
Dawn doesn't have it nearly as bad as Victor, though. (Y-chromosome?)

You guys (gais) are way too funny! I am actually laughing out loud, but I have to stifle my laughter 'cause the little DGD is taking her nap.
I love this place!!
we are tres gai!

3 teenagers are sitting in my family room LOUDLY singing along to "Chicago"
Aint life grand?
Give them the old razzle dazzle--razzle dazzle em!
I'm not gonna comment on Chicago. I only wonder... are they YOUR teenagers?
x, C
hmmm, not sure how to answer that. The word "your" implies ownership. I do admit to giving birth to one of them. At times I wonder though...perhaps aliens came and stole my litle girl and left this moody, oppositional person in her place. It happened with the other older one, and they eventually returned my child.
She looks sweet, but B-E-W-A-R-E!!!!!
OMG Cleo, how old are they? How old do they have to be before they return your own child? I have two, one occasionally shows signs of returning to the family, the other is just entering the Alien Protection Service. I'm not allowed to show pictures of them because they might find out, and they aren't allowed to post pics of themselves where people they haven't met would see them!
xx, Carrie
From the Mother of 3 grown girls....it's usually when they have the first apt., electric bills, car payment, ect... They then start to appreciate their parents. After they have a baby everything changes and you are wonderful in thier eyes and they have no idea how you did it!!
Best compliment ever, oldest daughter said " I hope i'm half as good of a Mother as you are." Waited almost 30 yrs., but it was worth it!!!!!!!

Oh, Pixie, how wonderful! I guess 17 years is too soon, then?
xx, C
17 you get glimpse's what was, and what's yet to be.
I can see my sons at 15 or 16 letting me know just how good a mother I've been to them!
The singer is 14. This one is 17. They both seemed to become possessed (or abducted) at about 13. The older one started to act like a human child sometime around her 16th birthday. She still has her moments of alien-like behavior, but I know she is winning the battle against those evil invaders. Just to keep me off balance, they both have always showed glimpses of those darling, affectionate, good tempered little girls I used to know. It's probably just to get me to let my defenses down so the "others" can throw in a barb or some extremely hurtful action and words. Hang in there carrie. From what I remember, my parents got MUCH smarter by the time I turned 21. Hopefully, you and I will learn as well.
WOW Pixie! Your blessings are great. I can't imagine how wonderful it must have been to hear those words. Right now, I hear things more like, "you are NOT a mother! this isn't how it's supposed to be!"
If only I (and they) can survive another dozen years or so...
My girls are 29,28,25 and you have my sympathies..... for the next 4-6 years.
Wow Celeste - you were a kid when you had kids!
Very nice. I'm looking forward to similar compliments!
Compliments would be nice but...
I'm really looking forward to financial self sufficiency. :-)
Down to one extra teenager in the family room. They're still singing--along with RENT now.
When does school start?
Tomorrow - finally!! My little guy starts Kindergarten.
Yes Victor, I was young..thanks for pointing that out. Just kidding it doesn't bother me now but it was hard for people to grasp that I was 17 when #1 was born, 19 on #2 , 20 on #3, 22 on #4 and 27 on #5. All the while continuing my education, working and learning about how to raise a handicapped child.
Enjoy you peace and quiet tomorrow when they go to school. Or will you have empty nest syndrome?

Forgot to mention just how impressed I am with your accomplishments. Bravo!! What did you study?
Accounting, hated it! LOL Needed to learn how to keep the books for the courts, my son's Trust Fund is quite different than most. It's run like a small business due to hiring employees, payouts for State tax's, Federal, workmans comp., ect... I could pay someone or learn.
LCleo, That picture is terrifying !! Lurking within that marvelously beautiful facade I see alien plans forming for the conquest of mankind. Not womankind mind you, but for the submission of all suitable males. Gadzooks Robin, we are defenseless. Warm up the Batmobile and flee.
Guys, you're scaring me my baby girl just turned 1.
My 4 year old started prek last week for 2 full days, doing good. I didn't even cry the first day.
Lady C- I found that chocolate farm too, e-mailed info to my sis. Definitely on my list to have a chocolate garden, AWESOME!
All kids are tough to raise these days, but I have to say I'm glad to have boys.
I've said it before - I'm glad I have nieces that I can borrow and return!
I'm glad my kids are adults and have their own lives. No more waiting for the key to turn in the door: sweet relief.
Cleo, finally I came across an explanation for teen behavior that makes sense!!! lol!!!!
I am glad I return the boys to their mothers... well, they are still inside my house!!!! ah... they are 3 and 6!!!! I am just asking God to help me when they get to be teens!!!!! I think I am going to implant a device behind their ears so I can locate them anytime I want... you know... there is a good reason for GPS....
