Today's Weather in Your Garden

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Was 42 when I got up this am. Up to 52 now, going into the mid 70s. Sunny and dry. No rain in sight ,will water again out back tomorrow. A lot of smaller trees are beginning to go dormant already. We really need some rain.

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Beautiful sunny day but cool. Supposed to warm up. I'd better get outside and make the most of the day. I've been playing on the computer for hours with tee-shirt designs. Check out the NE pride thread - I designed some options on the zazzle sight and created a link to them. I put pixie's tree pic there also. Eleanor

It was wonderful here, too.

Mid-Cape, MA(Zone 7a)

Seventy-three degrees; sun warm on our shoulders at 6 pm with a light breeze. We sat outside for dinner. By 7:30, people were looking for sweaters. It's turning.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Sorry so late posting(my 18th anniversary) it was in the 80's absolutely beautiful!

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

Happy Anniversary Jen. I don't know what your favorite flower is (I like them all) so I'll send one of my good pics of a rose to you and DH.
If I had decent pics of nasturtiums I would post that!! Just Kidding!! LOL You must have frogiven him since you weren't on the computer until 12:43 this morning!! :-)))
(I hope I remembered correctly that it was your DH who weedwacked nasturtiums - I appologize if it wasn't you - memory isn't what it used to be)

As for the weather I don't know yet but supposed to be beautiful. I overslept and haven't been out yet. Eleanor

Happy Anniversary Jen!!

50 here and sunny should get up to 80 today.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Happy Anniversary, Jen and Mr. Jen.

Just checked the weather and they show 70 degrees already. Time to get out and dig out another butterfly bush. Chionanthus virginica will go in that spot if my energy holds up.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Happy, happy anniversary, Jen!!!!

Nice and cool this morning - clear skies - 42 at 6:30 AM.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

So how's the weather up there in NY? It's 71 degress with 81% humidity here in Myrtle Beach!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Another sunny gorgeous day. Already 68, going up to 80s today. Nice dry air and blue skies. Still no rain in sight, more watering today, half done already. Have a good one all! :)

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Happy Labor Day to all us us who truly labor in the garden.

Assonet, MA(Zone 6b)

Pushing 70 degrees at the moment, suntastic! Happy Aniversary Jen. Happy Labor Day to all. :)

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Laboring in the garden is the best kind of laboring there is, if you have to be laboring on Labor Day.

I have watered all the gardens and now I have designs on pruning a few things back today. Don't know if I will or not. It depends on how quickly I smell the aroma of the BBQ grill warming up!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Happy Anniversary Jen! You have a couple of years on me. 80 and a bit muggier today (12:30). Should hit 85.

Closed the pool a while ago - YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Another gorgeous day here on the North Fork.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Here too! About 70 with a cool breeze. Perfectly clear sky.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Time to dig so off I go.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Ahhh ..... the sweetness of late summer!!

63 degrees right now
Light, cooling breeze
Clear September skies

It shouldn't be getting too overly warm today at all. However, I am leery of this weekend!!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Another sunny lovely day with no rain, 76 and climbing with a little breeze.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

What gorgeous stretch of weather we're in now. Heavenly.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Feels too good to be true.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Maybe it's not??

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Do you mean this just might be a dream we're all having at the same time?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - mass hysteria in the NE. Maybe another t-shirt caption?

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I thought of the front bottom hem being printed as a ruler for when we're planting things 6" apart or 4" (like shallots) - it could be handy. No, I don't want 36" of ruler going around my body! Just 12" would be fine.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I mark my shovels for that.

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

Nice weather, yes, but does anyone have any garden left during this drought? I'm watering just barely enough to keep things alive. Boy, we had such a nice Spring and first half of Summer, too. I'm 'remodeling' a portion of my yard and I can't believe how far down the dryness goes. . . . and I hate the sound of crunchy grass!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I don't think we're as bad as you Sue, but we're bad enough. Seems that when the big storms dumped large amounts of rain in the region this year, it always seemed to miss us! NYC and LI got much more than us this year.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

The "city" got much more than us, Victor.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

But I think more western parts of LI got more than you as well.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Yes. Just 50 miles away got a lot more.
