Oh, Candyce - I could have married that car - once in candy apple red and once in dark green (that one was a '67) .....glad I didn't now that I have my DH and his red jeep.....:)

Louise:

How funny you should mention dark green. That's the color DD wants for it.

My DDH had one when we met. In fact, that's how we met, 'cause his younger brother wanted to borrow his Mustang to take my younger sister out. But DDH said no and then, she's got an older sister, doesn't she? So, blind date. The rest, as they say, is history.

Looks like it's in pretty good shape....that's the year I started getting into Mustang's. I was 6/7 yrs. old and had a thing for them from the very start. My Dad use to say he had 7 son's instead of 6 and I was his only long-haired boy. LOL I even dated a boy in high school that drove a red one just like that. I now wonder if I went out with him just so I could ride/drive the car. I'm sure he wouldn't want to hear that. (Sorry Doug if your out there reading this)

Candyce, thats too neat! Love and a Mustang....my kind of romance!!!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Oh how cool, Candyce........no wonder this restoration is so fun for you both!! You may just have to take it for a drive here in my neck of the woods....literally...mustang on a dirt road....hmmmm....yeah, it can do it!! :)

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

The 'original' Mustang went backwards down a dirt road at Swanzey Lake. There 'appeared' to be something wrong with the stick shift on that dark summer evening! How we ever missed those trees was a miracle!

Ahhhhh ... the memories!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Indeed!! :) LOL!!!

Well, if anyone asks - my dream car is a Rolls Royce - driven by a very handsome British chauffer :-)

Regarding the seasons - when plants are supposed to flower "all summer" - does that mean until Sept. 20th?

I mean, for me, summer always seems to end when school starts - but technically, fall doesn't start until Autumn Equinox. So, do gardening books assume that summer ends in the 3rd week of September?

The above link is for the Frizelliae fern.

Cool. Deer Resistant Plants is one of my favorite places. Dave, the owner, is a great guy. Thanks Pirl.

Seandor - it's doubtful that they'll bloom to late September unless they're annuals. I think, before you're disappointed, you should check out each plant you're interested in and the chances are good that some of us have it or had it.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Pixie - I like the blue flowers and car I can't have.

Thanks Al. You're getting like Andy with the bug fascination!

Fancy Frills looks cool. First year with it?

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Some pics I don't even try to catch them in it really. I think I have a photo of every plant with a bumblebee on it now so I have to look harder.

Fancy Frills I first purchased in Sept. 05 from Wayside - it died - I got it repaced free(with me paying $9 to ship 1" plant) that died and I ordered this one from GC this spring, so it's been a long ride ;)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Is there an Echinacea you don't have?

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Oh certainly, some get to be like hostas though - if you can't tell the difference from 20' then do you really need them?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's my attitude toward twins.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

By the way, you could have said DL's too, but we don't want to upset anyone.

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Oh yes, I'm a very PC gardener.

Whatever happened to those Coors Light twins?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

They were separated at burp.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Oh good Al, you got yours from GC. That's where I was going to order from if it is a good plant. They are sold out now but I would like to order for spring if it turns out to be a worthwhile plant. I like the bud pic, so far so good.

Oh good Pirl found the Tatting fern somewhere else besides wayward gardens. Good Job. It is a good plant and the texture is so different from most anything else. I like it a lot.

Al Molineux is new this tear but so far I like a lot. Got a small amount of blackspot but not too bad compared to some of the other roses this year.

Victor..LOL!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

GC always gets items back in stock. Sign up to be notified.

Wheatfield, NY(Zone 6a)

Oh, I love the tatting fern, too. first time I've seen one. good job finding a source, pirl. I wouldn't buy it from Wayward even if they were exclusive.

pixie, I dated a Doug in high school with a red TR3, but I liked him even before he got the car. (love the color on the glad at the bottom left)

we have a new hummer at our feeder. I think that means that they are starting to migrate. (bad pic is all I got)
